Its not an easy decision. Glad I don't have to make it. I feel utterly bored watching Motherwell but frankly that was the same under Graham Alexander , Stevie Hammel and now Stuart Kettlewell so would we be sacking him just to replace him with the same turgid stuff. Am I being unrealistic in what I watch, Im not sure because it feels like years since I enjoyed watching us other than a few standout games..

In SK case it May 2025 which is normally at seasons end. So either side needs to give a notice period that they do not intend to continue (generally 3 months) otherwise the 12 months kicks in. I'd be amazed if there wasn't an element of compensation for a contract terminated in football but it certainly wouldn't be prohibitive.

Not necessarily. That's not how many rolling contracts in the UK work. Many run for 12 months from a specific date and in their case that was May 2024. Both sides have an option to continue or to end but must give three months notice before the 12 months expire i.e May 2025. If no such undertaking is exercised the contract automatically rolls on for another 12 months and we would then be on the hook for 12 months salary..

Slight difference here is SK has 5 months left on his contract, hardly a crippling financial judgement to get rid of him for those that think that's what we should do. "All this changing managers every 2 years does is cost us money" it does but that is the nature of the beast. Few managers last longer than 3 seasons. Either through moving to bigger and better or getting pumped for being pish.

A pretty good assessment. Basically you can play shite and fans will grudgingly accept it if there are wins. That disappears when results match the displays. No we shouldn't , we may consider that option but I certainly wouldn't be telling him its two wins or hes out. The pressure on us is big enough without adding fuel to the Fire before the games . SK will know hes under scrutiny.

you are correct but for someone who has been in the game as long him he should know that the use of certain words / phrases particularly if there is an inference that its directed at the fans - even if that wasnt his intention - he has just created an unnecessary stick for fans to beat him with. Defo not a sacking offence, his style and tactics will ensure that.

I agree to a point but we've been shite for 2 months except the Rangers game and 15 mins against Aberdeen and Lennon Miller played in most of those games. SK's set up is killing the likes of LM and dragging him down to the dross round about him. I don't think LM's return will change anything until SK starts to play a style that gives him a chance. If LM has any sense he will get out in January cos the current Motherwell team is wasting him.

Actually don't give a fuck about this game , wont go, wont watch it, Ill just worry about the Ross County game which we will probably lose. We are utter garbage. Led by a manager who is completely lost and in a downward spiral.

We wont go down? I remember Hibs fans saying the same when they were in exactly the same position we are in now and they went down. A play off spot for us is a VERY REAL possibility.

I'm not asking people whether they think he should be sacked but how long do people think hes got before the board act, bearing in mind to get shot of him wouldn't cost much as his contracts up in July. I think if we lose our next two games and end up 9th or 10th 2 pts off the play off the board might well act. This is the second season we've gone through this and the board have backed him in 3 transfer windows.

I had heard the story that Hammel had SOD round the neck in the dressing room after the RR debacle and accused SOD of doing him in, that may or may not have been the case but SH was rightly sacked whether SOD did go above his head or not.

On current form and trajectory its not the top 6 we should be worrying about its the play off spot cos that's where we are heading unless there is a drastic change. I know the happy clappers will be in uproar at that view and will say we are only 6pts off 4th place but seriously tell me one team you have watched in the last two months worse than us. Please tell me what you see that isn't abject shite and gives you hope we wont hit 11th based on what you have watched in the last two months. That is 3rd transfer window the club have supported SK , he has the biggest 1st team squad in yonks and we are still garbage. I know there are injuries but every club has injuries. The argument that the loss of LM is killing us doesn't wash with me. He has played in most of the dross we have watched in the last two months , we are actually dragging the poor guy down to a level he shouldn't have to operate at. LM would not change the utter shite we are witnessing because the manger sets us up to play a certain way. If LM has any sense he will get out this window cos we are doing NOTHING to enhance his reputation and good luck to him. we might need his money in the Championship..
