  1. Kipre by a mile, Campbell had a better game and I thought Cifti put in a good shift. However still a piss poor result . Thats us shipped 4 points out 6 to that dross they've have 4 efforts on our goal in two games and scored 4 times. Kind of result that will see us sweating the season out in the bottom 6. Better than last couple of games but still nowt to get excited about.

  2. Sorry I have worded that poorly. I rate Campbell highly I was clumsily pointing out that it doesn't take long for folks to have a go at young players despite the oft repeated calls for the manager to introduce them

I never said Campbell isnt a prospect but at this moment in time hes not offering much for me. Sadly lifes about opinions and thats mine.

  3. Your thoughts and votes please...

For 70 mins we were utter dross , no creativity at all , hoof it long and hope for the best. Surprised Robinson thought we'll play worse and win. Hope tae fuck I dont see that one cos tonight was brutal. No doubt the last 20 mins and "what might have been" will cloud some opinions. You cant play for 20 mins and expect to win. Campbells starting to irritate the fuck outta me all he does in foul , there is fuck all comes off him.

  4. Decent away point. Performance wise we were OK but I think Hearts will feel they should have won. Certainly had more chances and looked more likely to score.

In fact it looked fairly predictable when Hearts scored with 10 minutes to go. They always looked likely to nick one while we didn't really look like scoring from open play.

In the end we got one from a free kick fired into the box in injury time but for me our ability to create and score is still a problem.

I thought defensively we played pretty well but we showed very little creative, it was sheer determination that got the point. I thought our distribution and final ball were abysmal. Hearts were nothing special no matter how much the media slever over them, they were there for the taking and any kinda composure / thought coulda had them in bother. However to play as poorly and get a point will do me.

  5. It wasnt pretty, neither was Saturday for that matter, but weve played shit both games and won fairly comfortably in both.

Improvements are needed, nobody is denying that, but when youve been on a run of 9 games winless then its difficult to transition straight in to expansive attacking football. Make yourself difficult to beat first and grow confidence from there

Both teams were awful only difference was Ross County had bottom of the table luck. But 3 points all that mattered to night ,.... but gotta ask is it beyond the leagues ability to ensure fans are not travelling over 200 miles for a midweek scheduled fixture, rescheduled cant be helped after a postponement. Surely Ross County could have been scheduled to play Aberdeen tonight and us Rangers. Ross County , Aberdeen Dundee and St Johnstone should all play one anther midweeks.

  6. I agree with regards to his desire to stay put for now. He strikes me as being quite switched on and is reminiscent of Murphy in that respect.

I havent seen anyone say that he will likely go to league 1 dross and I cant imagine the prospect of that will appeal.

None the less, English football is a competitive workplace and unless Cadds does become the best player in the SPL, regardless of who he goes to, there is an inevitability to him having to go to places like Doncaster on a cold Tuesday night in the pishing wet if he does make a move south and wants to climb the pyramid.

When faced with the same decisions, I think Murphy played it just right

Motherwell like most thing in Scottish Football have been very slow to exploit social media but they aint half making up ground now. Some of the video stuff is excellent. Motherwell FC have 33,000 twitter followers , if each of those followers have 50 followers thats a potential audience of 1.65 million. One day one wee boy or girl will see a video and become hooked and thats all it takes. Very good stuff from the media dept. The reason the OF have had shit loads of fans generation after generation is the MSM feed them a never ending stream of OF stuff. Social media gives the wee guys a chance , you should retweet every media / video released by the club.

  7. Ive rated Cadden highly since I first seen him but in order for us to get £600k+ In the summer, I think he needs to start scoring more goals and providing more assists. Unfortunately, that wont be easy playing wingback.

I agree I dont think Cadden has been as effective as he was earlier in the season. Think combination of teams tumbling to our style and his injuries aint helped but I think he just needs to up it a wee bit to secure a really good move.

  8. Krapee as you call him as been watched by bigger clubs than Motherwell this season, he will go on to play at a higher level than us in the future as well.

Many go onto bigger clubs than us there are plenty bigger clubs doesnt mean the players any good. Kipre has some assets but frankly he has alot of improving to do before Id be upset at him moving. His positional sense is woeful.

  9. Bringing Heneghan back would take a lot of the sheen off of getting rid of him in the first place.

Better to take a chance on another player than bring in someone that wasn't good enough in the first place.

We need a defender but Heneghan is not the answer.

Couldnt agree more I cant understand the hope for Heneghan he was an extremely limited player who I wasnt sorry to see leave,

  10.

Mark Reynolds is exactly the kind of player we need. A central defender with a bit of pace.

I seem to remember that he just signed a new contract at Aberdeen thought that suggests both parties see his future there.

Having said that Tansey just moved to Ross County....

Reynolds pace is not as it was thats why he cant get a regular spot for Aberdeen , you take Reynolds pace away and you struggle to get much else. His pace very often covered his dreadful positional sense

  11. A few rumours going about on Saturday that Leeds are allegedly thinking about a bid for Kipre, figure quoted was 800k, if true I don't think the club would think too long about closing the deal.

£800,000 for a bomb scare like Kipre ? I very much doubt it.

  12. Copied below from some guys who collect SPFL stats on twitter.

Scoring Chances are kicked shots from the heart of the box & kicked or headed shots from within the six yard box. The players who are consistently setting up teammates with these kinds of chances are the kinds of playmakers that change games.

Frear and Cadden are in the top 6 in the league.

    Scott Allan, Dundee +0.90

    Stuart Armstrong, Celtic +0.84

    Ali Crawford, Hamilton +0.68

    Daniel Candeias, Rangers +0.57

    Elliot Frear, Motherwell +0.50

    Chris Cadden, Motherwell +0.43

Cadden is also 2nd in the league for expected assists and 3rd for key passes.

I dont pretend to be an expert in the whole XG/XA stuff but do find it quite interesting and goes against your opinion of both players being distinctly average.

The above coupled with the loss of Moult who was the man converting these chances gives some context around our recent struggles to create and convert opportunities.

If we can get a replacement for moult, and Cadden, Frear and Tanner in the team I think well be fine. Any chat if sacking Robinson now is nuts.

With the greatest respect Ill trust my eyes rather than someones calculator.... I regularly look at BBC Scotland's stats during and after a game and frankly it can be quite bizarre what people count as shots on target , shots off target , possession etc.

  13. Talk of sacking the manager is utter nonsense IMO! We are currently 8th in the table, 1 win off the top 6. What do people honestly expect from the club! The early season league position was always a false position as we had a decent run of home games so we experienced the flip side of that this month with a number of away games. This is just what certain elements of our support have been waiting for, the I told you robbo was the wrong man brigade.

Had we been sitting where we are with a normal sprinkling of wins , losses and draws over all our games we would all probably be reasonably assured about the season. However its the scale and size of the pitiful run we are on that is making people concerned that they cant see an end to it not the fact that they think we should be pushing for european places.

  14. Given that they've both been injured again since, can you really say they were fit? Not to mention Frear was the best player on the park at Firhill.

They were distinctly average before any injuries. Cadden was off the boil before any injuries, to be fair other teams tumbled to him and set up to nullify him which has worked. Frears delivery totally undermines any impressive outfield play. His final ball is God awful

  15. I really hope this is a blip but I am fearful my initial thoughts about hime are coming true. He could not stop the downward spiral at Oldham and we are in the same. However, let's see after break, recoveries for Cadden and Frear from injury and his performance in transfer market. My big worry is that we are n to scoring enough and losing easy goals week after week.

If no improvement over next few games then I would be voting to get him out.

Cadden and Frear have been doing nothing when they have been fit , dont pin your hopes on that.

  16. Fisher & Bowman wouldnt get a game for a single other Premier side. And would prob struggle at championship level, Petravicius looks a bit gash as well. We need a total overhaul if we are to do anything this season.

Yes we should avoid relegation, but just remember how utter shite we have been the last 2 seasons..... then take Moults 50+ goals out of that! We dont have him anymore, we need 2 goalscorers as a matter of urgency or else the threat of relegation will be bigger than it ever has been!

And for those saying Robbo has earned more time due to a cup final appearance? Remember Ranieri won the English Premiership and was sacked for less, as have many many other managers! This is Robinson's team, his players, his coaching and his tactics! And were fucking diabolical, he has time yes, but its running out sharpish!

I wouldnt be so sure we will avoid relegation... this run of form is most definitely relegation stuff. As good as a start to the season as we had we are now only 4 points better off than we were this time last year. Frankly we are easy beat, contrary to most folk view I think Kipre is an absolute bomb scare, Bowman is not up to it , McHugh has been piss poor since day 1 , Campbell is nowhere near the player everyone thinks he is right now though in Campbells case that may well come as hes very young. Rose and Fisher dont fill me with any hope and christ knows who will score any goals. As someone says we have lost to teams there for the taking and the reason for that is we are piss poor.

  17. That was a good point. We played well first half, passed the ball about well but had nothing up front. The last half hour was all Dundee but the guys on the park stood up and kept a clean sheet. Frear has always seemed like a shitebag and seeing him walk off today while Hartley, Kipre and Tait played through inury reinforced the point.

I heard that Fisher might be up for leaving and his non appearance today is a good sign. If we can get shot of him, possibly Rose plus the Moult money and potentially Kipre money and bring in two strikers and a left mid we will be in a decent place.

"Potentially Kipre Money" ..... have I missed something ??

  18. The gaffer was quite upbeat, "best away performance of the season" "so many great performances all over the park", "back four excellent".

I wouldnt quite say best but we played very well second half, even first half the worst we were was average. Some complete over reactions today. We just didnt get the rub of the green today were are a better team than Kilmarnock and it showed today.

  19. Yes we are in a slump. Yes we have some players who probably we want to off load.

We have some good solid players to come back. We have January window.

We are 1 point off of being in 5th place

All things considered we are in a reasonable position with a chance to improve on it. Of course we could still get worse but I think matters are within our control to improve. I have confidence that we will come out after the winter break and pick things up again. Would be nice though to get some more points on the board from our next 3 games

When we were losing last year we were deserving to lose and were utterly clueless that is not the case on this run of bad results we are better than the results are suggesting

  20. Yip, a bit of hype and bluster from the club when a lot of these guys signed but they are being found out big time.

I dont necessarily agree, we are getting murdered for silly mistakes , we should easily have had 7 points out of the last 3 games. We were worth a point against Hearts and should easily have had 3 off Thistle and 3 off Killie . We played Thistle off the park over the 90 minutes. Shocking individual errors being severely punished and we just arent getting the rub of the green right now. We did the same at Killie today. We are really missing Hartley but we certainly have a squad that could / should have had more for their efforts but each one we lose ramps up the tension for the next one.,

  21. More than Kipre to blame. Hearts No 8 is given far too much room and time by our midfield on the edge of the box and thats where the catalogue of errors started. Kipre didn't do well and I wonder if there's a questionmark over Griffiths getting beaten at his near post - is that being harsh on him? From the TV highlights, Hearts seem to have been given too much room on a few occasions and only shocking finishing saved us.

of course theres more than him to blame , in every goal there is more than one person to blame but he was the last line of defence and made a rip roaring cunt of it when it was easier to clear his lines just as he did against Hibs. If the midfield and forwards hadnt been guff and we'd scored two goals it wouldnt have mattered but Kipres role is last line of defence and right now hes making basic basic errors of judgement that are costing us.

  22. As others have suggested, first game in a long time where I felt it was a waste of time being there. Very little effort from Motherwell and they got what they deserved.

I dont think "got what we deserved" is right ....Hearts were fuckin awful and so were we ... we were well worth a point on the balance of two piss poor teams. If Kipre hadnt fannied about it would have been one of the easiest points of the season as bad as we were.

  23. McHugh just as bad as Kipre at the goal, not to mention our manager claiming there's apparently a handball from Lafferty before he gets the shot away.

McHugh isnt costing us goals every week, Kipre is, though I do accept McHugh has never really set the heather on fire since he joined.

Kipre then had two men in for clear shot on their keeper inside 18 yard box and he goes for goal with two Hearts defenders right in front of him. His judgement is bloody awful right now. I know hes a fans favourite but theres gotta be some realism about what hes doing every week.
