Anyone saying that Watt wasn’t crucial for us is kidding themselves.
As I said before, he is the only reason we are sitting where we currently are in the table at this stage. Without his goals we would be fighting relegation just now as we have nothing in the way of goal threat in that side of ours.
Never said that I said I wasnt overly impressed with him tonight. I expected him to tear us a new arsehole and he didnt.

That money was in the account until Mat 21 , you can bet a dent has been made in that since then to now.

Watts goal scoring efforts for us were a very strange blip on his career stats, we benefited big time but he is fundamentally pish. His 1st goal in 5 games tonight and he won't suddenly go on a Roun of goals now. But I accept your point we look bereft of a goal threat just now but would it have been any different with Watt still with us ? For me I don't think it would have.
Im not so sure he wont do a good Job for Utd but I wasnt overly impressed by him tonight. Folk saying he laid on the first goal.. did he fuck he put in a bog standard cross that our defender headed clear and as luck would have it landed straight at Utd players feet and a great strike put it in our net. His goal I could have scored with piss poor defending, christ knows how he got man of the match.

Loose and Saturday and it’s time to go Alexander. This is fucking shite. Zero heart, zero entertainment and zero quality.
Unfit and disinterested.
Time for him to go? We cant afford to sack managers who have just signed a 3 year contract.

There has been an awful lack of basic football skills from us in the 2nd half.
Their passing and first touch were utterly shocking. Bevis played well in the 1st half , second half he was wearing coco the clowns shoes.

Home form is decent, away form is poor.
We've had four out of six away and Celtic at home.
I'd hold off from panicking for the moment.
I was more thinking of Maurice Malpas team that were 14 points clear in January and missed going down by a baw hair. Its the same kind of pointless shite. Hoof it long from Kelly is sadly a main tactic.

No one panicking just calling it for the utter shite it is. Fuck me a season of turgid football.

Very little against a team with that quality when at the top or their game. There is not a team in the league that could have matched that first half performance. That’s as good a half as I’ve seen from an old firm team against us for a while.
that would be fine if we didnt do exactly the same when they are pedestrian. The last 10 years are not all down to Celtic brilliance nor the last 20 years to Rangers brilliance either .. we have to own some of the shambles.

We have 33 points, Ross County have 26.
We have a game in hand albeit it is against Celtic tomorrow.
you are talking nonsense . "all but have the top six sealed after Utd game" with 21 points left to play for is ludicrous??? and we then face Aberdeen and Rangers. if you were saying that with 3 games to go after Utd I could give it some credibility.

I’m not sure St Mirren are any worse than we are, they may actually better.
St Mirren aren't any worse than us. There is nothing between us and he rest. Pumped by Ross County and Dundee should tell us that. The League doesn't lie. The reason there is only 6 points separating 6 teams is they are all a much of a muchness.

And if we win tomorrow and other results go our way like today we could only be 7 points off 3rd, so your point is?
My point is your statement "I think a victory MIGHT seal our top six" is ridiculous suggesting its nearly in the bag with 7 games and 21 points at stake to go to the split after the DU game , the fact we maybe 7 points off 3rd if we won tomorrow is immaterial.

Personally I would be happy enough with low score defeat with no injuries or sending offs, our most important game of the season is on Wednesday night at Tannadice where I think a victory MIGHT seal our top six.
seal our top 6th ?? are you having a laugh we are only 6 points above 10th

While it’s good that results are going our way and helping us stay in 4th it also means the league is compressing. I’d say, realistically that there are now 6 teams competing for 4th spot. Top 3 probably fixed and bottom 3 too far off. So middle 6 teams all in with a chance to end in 4th spot.
exactly and we not sufficiently better than any of them to suggest its between us an one or two others.

What a fantastic set of results for us so far today, would be great if they all finished like this.
I see Hibs as our main threat for 4th, long may they keep losing.
Anyone down to Livi in 10th is a rival now. Only 6 points separate 4th from 10th. Expect a trouncing tomorrow , cant see anything we produce that would suggest the 10 year winless streak will end tomorrow.

McGinley hasn't put a decent cross in for about 17 months and combined with Donnelly to give away the goal.
Slattery had 75% pass completion which was significantly better than anyone else in our team.
it was Donnelly at fault fort the goal and why the fuck does GA not have a winger playing to put in the crosses. McGinley]s an easy target for the Boo boys

McGinley for me , never put a foot wrong defensively and was forced in to being one of our main attackers due to GAs team selection. He had to cover some amount of ground all night.

Great to see everything's looking healthy on the financial front at the moment. Lack of fans due to Covid last season must have seen a huge sum of cash missed out on ticket sales. It was nice to see stadium improvements with the work continuing as the POD is getting new seats this Summer. I thought our position might have been more precarious as we ended up with a bloated squad last season, however we have paid undisclosed fees for Solholm, Efford, Slattery and Tierney which in normal circumstances we wouldn't likely have been able to do so hopefully those investments pay off. Massive credit to all at MFC.
the streaming subscription service is making good money for the diddy clubs. Doncaster said it had been vey lucrative. Its the kind of model theyd thought about doing when the TV deal was at risk and the clubs took fright and walked away from it. With a bit of luck its a bit of leverage against the piss poor deals sky have generally offered.

BOOOOOOOOOOOO!
It was an observation , you do know what that is? you want me to say he played fuckin great. I never said he was a waste of space , I never said he wouldnt be a player for us. I made an observation on his performance tonight. Its not a difficult concept to grasp.

Got himself out of jail , should have scored in the 1st half, generally piss poor display from him tonight.

Great finish by the wee wean but it's really a sprinkle of glitter on a complete turd of a performance.
Exactly we were fuckin pish. McGinley has his critics but he did well but was given absolutely no support ion the wide left. we should have had a natural winger in the space McGinley constantly had to operate in. Utter garbage hoof ball all night. Watching GA's teams and tactics is fuckin mind numbing. Wrong team selection. GA coming up at the end giving it the high 5s to the fans after we scrape a 1-1 draw with an utter pish St Mirren team is embarrassing.

Someone suggested the return of Jamie Murphy earlier in the thread, sounds like he's heading to Mansfield Town on loan.
Good Murphys done and as predictable as rain.

Don't get the Tony Watt bandwagon at all. Better than him have come and gone. KVV has more skill, just no pace. Read someone saying KVV has only scored one since Watt left. Tony hasn't scored any??. As for people criticising the manager, just think back to this time last year!!!!!!.
The manager gets results but as often as not its shite we watch. You takes your choice whats most important to you.

I heard that as well, even before the season started… so Watt’s great form might have been at least partly as a ‘get it up you, I’ll show you’.
Risky chance for the manager to take if TW form puts Dundee Utd on a solid footing and us on a slide.

This is where he really gets on my nerves. Does he think we are all daft? Get a reality check GA
I dont agree we were the better team but there wasn't an awful lot between the teams except for our usual habit of gifting the opposition piss easy goals. Hearts were bang average and there for the taking.

True but I could hve been there to score that goal. It was amateurish defending of the highest order.
