  1. Na, Dunn, Aldred, Gorrin for starters but end of the day it’s not about the opinion of supporters when they joined us, it’s about history showing us it can, and often does work if the right players are highlighted. The last three higher profile players have all failed to a degree. The point is you can’t pre judge a player because of the level they have joined us from, Ross Mc would be a fine example. If I replaced the names of those players with the clubs they joined us from it would look pretty pitiful.
  2. Even in my short time Heneghan Johnson Moult Kipre Dunn Aldred Tait Carson Gillespie Gorrin How are we still as good as writing a player off from a lower league ?
  3. Casper Sloth along with Gallagher and Polworth, all experienced, three more inexperienced players from the lower leagues so pretty much a 50/50 split which is probably what we were always going to get. Still time to add further players to that group.
  4. Pretty much as expected, Robinson has made it quite clear where they would be looking for players, some will work out and some won’t. As above though I still expect a number 9 to come in.
  5. My post was actually in jest and a reference to another post recently which stated those running the club were amateurs. I have nothing but admiration for those running the club. Apologies that I did not make that more apparent.
  6. Are they described as a bunch of amateurs who will ruin the club
  7. I guess at some point it will need to happen if the club stays at Fir Park, just don’t see it anytime soon.
  8. Yes the view is great for sure, I was shocked though at just how bad the interior was, talk about grim, I sit in the cooper stand which is far better ( newer of course).
  9. Opening gambits, I would image he will be gone within a week when someone puts in an offer closer to 3 million.
  10. The main stand really is well past it’s sell by date, I was really surprised when I sat there in one of the early cup games last season. The facilities inside really are 1950s standard.
  11. I think just about everyone would like him to stay, however we have to be realistic and fair to the player. I don’t think we should deny him a shot at the Premiership and as much as you could argue he could do that in a years time everyone is open to injuries, look at Carson with his illness and Tanner as only two examples. I would think that while he was happy to sign the new contract he was also probably told the club would not stand in his way should a big club down south come in for him. The club knew he would go and all the new contract did was make sure when he did move on we would be guaranteed a big chunk of money, I don’t believe they thought it tied him to the club for another 12/18 months.
  12. I would love to think that would happen but history shows us when the offers start coming in the players head gets turned and they move on. Great if Turnbull is the acception but I won’t be holding my breath.
  13. I still think Celtic won’t be in the picture, they simply won’t pay the amount we are asking, clubs down south will if convinced of his quality.
  14. Sadly it looks like we will never see him in a Motherwell shirt again but 3 million plus add ons would be fair.
  15. I guess we need to look at the positives to Turnbull leaving to a degree. Would a fee of say 2.5 million see the debt completely paid off and more money going into the playing budget ?
  16. I guess it’s back to what others think he is worth. The club also has to be fair to the player and does not want to alienate him. While I would love to see us receive 4 million I can’t see it this early in his career.
  17. They won’t, they never do. He’s out of their price range for a Scottish player.
  18. Celtic can’t afford Turnbull, he will head down south.
  19. Honestly you really would be better just forgetting about Motherwell and supporting Celtic. I can’t remember you ever having anything positive to say about the club, you seem to knock everyone from those running the club, the management, to the players, and every poster on here you disagree with. I am actually allowed to have an opinion without you coming back with one of your oh so witty put downs. Even when we get to two cup finals it’s not enough for you. I like to see positives about the club, and yes there are many, you just seem to take enjoyment from putting everything about it down.
  20. Clay was another player that took more stick than he should have.
  21. Which makes the thread pretty pointless does it not unless it’s a debate on another club showing interest in him
  22. An interesting signing
