  1. I want us to win every game, why would anyone want anything else ?
  2. I though Burrows indicated there was a set formula in place ? Or maybe i’m not remembering it correctly.
  3. He was already getting less effective in truth, certainly the better teams had him sussed and he last few performances were not great. With the right coaching he could develop further for sure but he certainly has a way to go.
  4. That was my understanding. I was not aware the fee was negotiable.
  5. I have a feeling that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
  6. Disappointed it’s Rangers and for me not a great move development wise but I would imagine he’s gone from earning average money to mega bucks so not a huge surprise. If he stays at Rangers I suspect he’s going to struggle and get lost before being loaned out but time will tell. Still a bit of a one trick pony and pretty easy to work out how to neutralise his effectiveness for any half decent coach but if coached correctly they will work on that and he has the benefit of power and pace. Not going to throw abuse at the lad because if I was his age i’m sure I would be just as tempted. Good luck to him in his future career.
  7. That’s why he’s going to leave us sooner rather than later, be a regular for the national team, and play in the English premier league.
  8. Yep, in truth we’ve struggled all season. Sammon was a mistake, Johnson can’t make the step up, I understand the calls for Scott but he’s nowhere near ready yet and may not even make the grade. Like others I admire Main and the work he does but he won’t be cheap and regardless of all that work and his ability to bring others in to play a striker still needs to score goals and that’s not him. Tanner, we don’t know at this point.
  9. I think you know I was referring to his stint this season
  10. I’m another that would like to see us finish as high as possible, extra money and when trying to attract new players they want to see a club looking strong for the following season. However our players may already be thinking about next season while the Accies will be hugely up for this. Very easy to see an Accies win in truth.
  11. Can’t say i’m really surprised, it’s gone on so long now I think it was obvious he was not going to sign a new contract. He’s going to make a ton of money but i’m not convinced as yet that he’s the real deal. Time will tell.
  12. Did we ever see him in the first place ? The whole thing ended up being simply bizarre.
  13. To be fair you have shown less than respect to the whole management and coaching staff at the club who are professionals who make their living from the game when you stated “ anyone with knowledge of the game”. You were always going to get a level of comeback.
  14. Craigan stated he was suprised, no knowledge of the game ?
  15. I think what’s never really been accepted with Hastie is that he probably was the general acception in that he looked nothing special only a few months ago, Craigen pointed this out and showed genuine surprise at how he had upped his game so quickly and I think that caught everyone out. The club are clearly trying to find a balance with contract lengths that will maximise revenue moving forward and they are never going to get it right every time, no one does. As pointed out many young players don’t make the step up and they have to take into account someone reaching 22 and getting the contract just right to allow for compensation.
  16. They look like two very solid signings and feedback is positive. Next season though is looking like more about who we retain, than who we lose.
  17. So that’s anything signing in the bag
  18. Which to be fair is totally understandable and if i’m being honest they get more leeway from me although I tend to be a “happy clapper” in general, can’t help myself.
  19. Cadden is always going to split opinion to a degree. I would actually agree that he’s not had the best of seasons and at one point felt he needed a move in order to develop. However at the time I put that partly down to Robinson who had him out of position and playing a style of football that he was not suited to. I feel that young players coming through the academy will always get an easier time and you see that at Motherwell, someone like Frear has always taken more stick even though for long periods Cadden was no better.
  20. Just get British Gas cover for any problems, way cheaper overal.
  21. Just a case of how many millions, unless he has a clause in his contract stating a certain figure triggers talks.
  22. Yes it does, we should be looking at £3 m for Turnbull.
  23. Yes, if he goes it’s going to be for big money, what is the record transfer fee received ?
  24. Or he’s already got an agreement in place but they want to see the season out before the club he’s signed for announce it ?
