  1. Robinson has always said he will repay loyalty with loyalty, I don't think he would jump ship half way through the season in the position we are in. He knows he has a good gig at motherwell, after his last dodgy spell at oldham I reckon he will pick and choose his move more wisely.
  2. Cadden and Gorrin's oxford utd drawn against Man city, cadds going toe to toe with Raheem sterling whilst Gorrin battles it out against David Silva and De Bruyne. Lump your money on a Gorrin booking.
  3. I actually thought it was quite a pleasing performance last night, Gallagher and Hartley won everything in the air. Once killie went down to 10 it was always going to be something a bit special that got us the second, as soon as we crossed into the Killie half it was every man behind the ball. We kept possession well enough with out looking too dangerous. Hartley at fault for there goal, he has to clear that for me however Hylton failed to track O'donnell's run which led to the foul as well. performance wise, most get pass marks, midfield 3 were good....campbell as dogged as ever, Polworth and Donnelly looked after the ball well, I thought Long was excellent, he never stopped running, won umpteen corners from nothing, deserved a goal. I think Hartley was having a go at Scott for not running the ball into the corner with a minute to go, which in turn led to a killie corner.
  4. I believe there two cb's Findlay and Del Fabro are out, seen a killie fan mention that would mean gary dicker going into CB which takes a lot away from there midfield.
  5. Hard to drop Mugabi after his performance, unless he sticks with the 5-3-2. A tough choice, glad i'm not making it. is it likely we see the same 11 that started at ibrox?
  6. how many changes did they make from the game on Thursday, 4 maybe 5? they were able to keep there 20m striker on the bench for Jermain Defoe, they took there new 7m signing of the bench to replace Barker when he went off injured, they are able to make changes like that due to there budget, Crasy isn't it? the fitness issue is a non starter, we aren't an unfit side. Chasing the ball around for 90 minutes is slightly demoralising and takes it out of you, that's to be expected playing Celtic and Rangers, especially away from home.
  7. Watching sportscene, matty Kennedy out of contract in the summer, someone we would enquire about? On a more controversial note, couldn't do any harm asking about Leigh griffiths on loan in january, so far out the picture at celtic. You reckon hibs would be his obvipus destination though.
  8. Gerrard seems to have got something right against the european sides, they always show up fairly well and put in a good account of themselves. I don't think there efforts last night will work in our favour as someone mentioned they have ridiculous squad depth, Defoe, Ojo, Aribo and Arfield on the bench last night. As always, we need to try and keep it rangers 0 for as long as we can which will get there fans on edge particularly if Celtic pick up 3 points earlier in the day. on the same note, I don't mind keeping it motherwell 0 for as long as possible, hate going 1-0 up at ibrox early on.
  9. Might just be me, but that didn't seem particularly Rangers slanted at all?
  10. Hoping you saying you'd wager differently is a reference to seeing him in a well shirt again !!
  11. This is Christie's 4th red card in his career.
  12. Aberdeen seen curtis main and lewis Ferguson with straight reds today so both will miss our game to add to there wild injury list.
  13. https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/celtic/18-former-scottish-football-stars-who-remain-free-agents-as-october-approaches-1-5010418 some pretty decent players without clubs, Giles coke and Ross mccormack in there. I wonder if Gary Hooper would be the type of player we would take a look at? proven Goal scorer obviously but I suspect way out our wage bracket?
  14. 3-0 well, Mugabe hat-trick.
  15. Long is getting himself in all the right positions and the goals will come, agreed though that Cole looked good when he came on however i reckon he will stick with the same. Dropping Polworth is way off the mark, why would you drop him out of interest? FWIW, unless he's injured he will be in the starting 11.
  16. suppose o'Hara for Campbell seems a natural enough replacement, if he does decide to rest him. That saying Campbell will be buzzing after last nights win against the top seeds so maybe just wants to get back out there.
  17. The student pricing baffles me a bit, I mean its good and that but why does a Student pay less then a child in say first year. Where does the term student end, surely school kids are Students as well? I could be 35, work full time but attend a night class in college, get a student card and be paying less than a boy/ girl who's 12 and saved up all week to go to the game.
  18. All three of our players got a run out last night, Campbell got the 90 and was also the most capped player in the squad on 16 games, James Scott got 20 minutes and Barry Mcguire came on for Billy Gilmour with 5 to go. don't think i've ever seen Allan Campbell play so advanced, played most of the game in and around the san marino 18 yard box and had a good game. Got some praise from the commentators for his dedication to run himself into the ground every week for Motherwell and still travel all over Europe with Scotland. Liam Donnelly also came on for N.i
  19. out of interest, who at Killie are you referring to? the only boy i can think of is the boy from liverpool they resigned on loan? is there others?
  20. Seen someone say they 'heard from a good source' that Turnbull will sign a new deal this week? has this got arms and legs, fucking hope so !!
  21. speaking of Linfield, Shane Lavery seems to be getting rave reviews recently, young striker, signed for linfield on a one year deal from Everton, spent a period on loan at falkirk last season.
  22. As I said, he managed it just fine last season so I think I will judge his ability on that as opposed to a one off against celtic.
  23. Don't agree with the Grimshaw point at all, he was a main stay at right back last season and certainly didn't cost us goals regularly. What has made you come to this conclusion?
  24. hearts surely still favourites for this tie?
  25. Tying someone into a 3-4 year deal who may or may not turn out good is daft, this year it seems like a reasonable idea because it's Turnbull and Hastie, Different story if it's Luke Watt, Bob Mchugh, Craig moore we are referring to. 100 grand a year but for 3-4 years and it quickly adds up. Mazinga, Mbulu and Petra are 100% low risk, 1 year deals, Probably very minimal wages. if it works, we have landed on our feet, if not thank you, see you later. Granted you can apply the same logic to our own youngsters with regards to it working but why change something that doesn't appear to be broken, it's not an area we struggle in year on year, Hastie, Hall, Erwin from the top of my head are the only 3 I can think of that we could say would have done a job?
