  1. I am definitely disappointed he is going to celtic but I can see why he can see himself playing more football there than he would at Norwich, the step up to the premier league is huge. I think working under Lennon and Kennedy is a backwards step but winning trophies, playing in Europe in front of 60,000 and undoubtedly being called up to Scotland squads from now on is more appealing than potentially playing 90 minutes against Oldham in the Carabao cup. I will certainly be watching how his career pans out wishing him all the best. Now lets turn out the next youngster.
  2. Turned down norwich apparently, set to sign tomorrow with celtic, all becoming a bit boring now.
  3. I listened to the talking baws podcast to see what there take on David Turnbull Saga was and as soon as the pair of spoke and agreed that he was on loan at Edinburgh city last season, i turned it off. No idea where that came from.
  4. I heard a rumour he was coming back on loan and wearing the number 7 jersey !!
  5. I hearda rumour that turnbull is coming back on loan and the number 7 is his.
  6. I am a huge fan of the umbro tops at the moment, think that would look class, all amber with some claret trim. And a black away top with a mixture of claret and amber detailing !!
  7. someone mentioned there had been something like 11 transfers in the entire English leagues, English clubs don't get business done early on really hence the lack of bids.
  8. I will actually be intrigued to see how he gets on at Celtic, i tend to try and watch Scottish clubs in Europe and if there is Scottish football on the tele I will watch that over the English league so it will be good to see how he gets on. if he went to Barnsley for example i highly doubt i'd have seen him kick a ball again until he made the step up. I will genuinely follow his career because I think he has it in him to play at a much higher level than Celtic.
  9. yeah PA system is rotten through out, Burrows has said it's something that's on the list? do you reckon if the stand was to get rebuilt we would face the same issues we did all those years with regards to sun light getting into gardens? how would we get around that?
  10. I might be in the minority, but i quite like POD stand, It adds a certain character to the stadium with the unfinished last quarter however I have never sat there so can't comment on the facilities etc. I do believe its a cracking view though. With regards to the safe standing, It's not something that appeals to me in the slightest...will it really make a difference? you have the end section and maybe the section next to it who stand anyway. it won't add anything to the ground will it? For me a waste of money.
  11. Nothing pleases you does it, Selling Turnbull will not see us relegated. Robinson realised how much of a fuck up the first six months of the season was and he fixed it and by the signings he has made so far realises playing with two wingers is the way forward so we will continue to play that way. You clearly have an issue with how Robinson sets his teams out but like it or loathe he has been successful with the players he has at his disposal. Turnbull was always going to leave, now it's time for semple, cornelius or reece mcAlear to step up and we go again.
  12. I am completely against developing other teams players but I would definitely take Mikey Johnston on loan if it was part of the deal, cracking player. I also seen a tweet regarding the turnbull deal being attractive to us cause it was money upfront and him being loaned back for the season at no cost, doubt it's true but there you go.
  13. We now miss out on a sizeable sell on fee, Celtic wont be able to command as much for him as some of the other clubs been mentioned.
  14. I could understand your point if it didn't work, but it does, so why complain? the majority of the time we will be outbid for players in Scotland, of course we can offer them a platform but so can most clubs in Scotland and on better wages too. in an ideal world we would operate in the Scottish market but there is too much competition. we will sign players some will be a success some fail, get used to it, its football. With regards to quality over quantity, we don't have the funds or the squad depth currently to rely on signing 3 or 4 quality players. We need to get a balance between the two, Gallagher and sloth appear to be quality, hylton, long and carroll we know little about, albeit Hylton had a great season last season so there is promise there and polworth will give us a solid spfl option, what exactly would you improve on? what happens when we are through the first round of games, of the four quality players we signed, one is injured, one hasn't kicked on and we can't buy a win and the squad is down to the bare bones. you would be the first on here complaining about Robinsons transfer policy. Dundee utd changed there policy when they had assets at the club and look how that served them, 3 seasons in the championship and absolutely skint, to change our policy (which is working, and working well) is absolute madness.
  15. it's all well and good expressing an interest in Lawrence shankland, but if we are interested then so is every team in the spfl outwith celtic and we wouldn't get near his wage demands. The raith rovers striker, Kevin nisbett, 30 goals is impressive but its league 1, in the 45 appearances he has made in the championship/spl he has managed 2 goals, i would be very surprised if there is any league 1 players who could make the step up to the spl (maybe that is being naive, I don't know the league well enough) so knowing the scottish league is irrelevant.
  16. I just hope some of our fans don't start giving him abuse on twitter for getting shipped out on loan, it will only fuel the rangers fan ' bitter wee fans ' patter, TaaKinG uR bESt PlaYeRS and PutTInG them OuT oN LoAN
  17. What market would you prefer us to work in, any ideas?
  18. I seriously do not know what you expect, this is the market we work in and we have been very good at it too !! we aren't in a position to bring in quality over quantity at the moment, what if that 'quality' gets injured, isn't the player we were hoping for (Bigi) if you look on the club website, we have 4 first team defenders, 4 first team midfielders and 2 first team strikers, we need quantity and I may be in the minority but Robinson does, whether you like it or not, have a decent track record with his signings. Every signing is a risk and not all will be a success, that's part of the game, whether you are paying 10k for someone or 100 million. I am not saying the players we have signed so far will have the ' on the ball quality ' you are crying out for, but I would be confident that you have never seen any of them play so to say the jury is out on Robinson is a mile off. Casper Sloth was a danish international and was thought to be the next big thing in Denmark, so you can guarantee he has some quality, it's now down to Robinson to get it out of him. Declan Gallagher was one of the most consistent performers in the league last season, I reckon he will serve Barry Mcguire well. We play the English lower market very well, I believe a few clubs actually envy us in that sense so maybe credit where credit is due, we could have the next Louis Moult or Marvin Johnson ready to go.
  19. Jake hastie been chipped out on loan next season by the looks of things. Also noticed a Sunderland page saying they are interested in cedric kipre, not sure if that is a step back?
  20. Apparently barnsley fans seem to think its a mistake and its burnley who bid, that alone is enough to make me believe its a nothing story
  21. 30m wouldn't get you close to buying Robertson and Mcginn, double that for Robertson alone.
  22. That's all well and good being nurtured by these people but if you revert back to playing u23 football infront of 100 people that will hamper your development. If he goes to the championship I reckon he is absolutely ready for the step up, Premier league is a different story though and a loan back for even 6 months to us would do him more good than what you have mentioned surely? That said I have no idea how a team in the premiership would view him, but the jump in quality is huge (which I have no doubt that we will make)
  23. But surely for a club like southampton, another season of first team football with us is much more beneficial to them and playing for the u23's in the reserve league?
  24. I reckon you are looking at a midfield trio of Sloth in that deep lying play maker role, with Campbell and Turnbull in there usual roles. Polworth and Tanner will be the ones to win the places. Not a bad problem to have though !!
  25. Allan Campbell warming the bench?
