  1. Liam Brown is highly rated amongst the coaching staff, they prevented a loan move to get him involved in the first team but he picked up an injury so i reckon he will get an extra year. Shea Gordon, again well thought off, got a loan move to partick, started well and got a horrible injury, however has played the last few games and scored a couple of crucial goals for them, again probably an extra year. Broque watson, I reckon will also get an extra year, he seems quite bright whenever I have seen him. How he is fairing at East fife though I have no idea. Gorrin, I hope you are wrong and he stays. Ariybi, again I hope we manage to wangle a deal whether it be on loan or permanent. Peter Morrison, by all accounts had a very good season at a piss poor Albion rovers, few player of the month awards however I think he is well down the pecking order and is it at that point in his career where he needs to be playing week in week out. The rest I tend to agree with.
  2. yeah I have to agree with you, I've even seen a few rangers fans mention him so I reckon we would no doubt fall way below of what he is expecting. saying that he has only managed 43 games in 4.5 years so maybe clubs won't be as willing to take the risk.
  3. Lewis Macleod released by Brentford, surely have much bigger suitors than us but someone well worth looking at, fits the bill of injured and getting his career back on track.
  4. I was talking about Chris Cadden, if he was to move on....not Rangers and Hastie.
  5. I don't know how it would work, I reckon the two clubs could maybe come to an agreement, whether that was say 300k with maybe a player thrown in to sweeten the deal, or whatever that agreement may be.
  6. Saturday on pay weekend, i agree...could see a decent crowd in belfast !!
  7. as far I am aware we would be due development compensation as he is still under the age of 23.
  8. If Livingstone is good enough to be in the team he will be in the team, I think that is fairly obvious given how Robinson has handled all of our youngsters, whether or not he is good enough is a whole different story. The position has been for Livingstone for about two years and he's not managed to make it his, I was very impressed with him for the u20's however it was there for all to see how off the pace he was, against Celtic in all fairness, A few games to round of the season could do him the world of good but he has to spend a lot of time in the gym bulking up over the summer if he wants to find his name on the team sheet come august. Jake Carroll coming in certainly is blocking his pathway
  9. Aldred was a complete dud before he arrived as well, look how that one turned out? someone mentioned on pie and bovril (st johnstone fan) that Scott Tanser got a similar hounding out the door, the worst left back in port vale history yet he's been a revelation at st johnstone.
  10. I understand what you are saying, maybe a better example might be Billy Gilmour who Chelsea paid maybe 500,000 for at the age of 16? The point I am making is that if Clubs in the premier league and top end championship clubs see him as being the real deal, as many predict that he is, then they will gladly spent 3 million on him. That sort of money is pocket change for these kind of clubs. Joao Felix of Benfica, who is the same age as Turnbull and played roughly the same amount of league games and scored more or less the same amount of goals (13 to Turnbulls 12) is being touted at 75 million. if he was with either side of the old firm you can guarantee that price tag would be 10 million plus, you could guarantee it.
  11. Derby county paid 8m for Marytn Waghorn, Liverpool paid 35m for Alex Oxlade chamberlain with 6 months to run on his contract. Premiership clubs are forking out millions into guys that play Fifa on the play station, a 3 million price tag isn't going to put them off.
  12. Looks as though you aren't worrying too much either, Jason Krones was released in Janury, now with Albion Rovers I believe.
  13. If anyone fancies a good chuckle, here is how Rangers are going to take David Turnbull from cash strapped Motherwell for between 500k-1M and loan him back to us for two years but they aren't sure if he is better than Greg Docherty. https://www.followfollow.com/forum/threads/david-turnbull.72945/
  14. I take it most folk just want the season to be done now, Big game for them, only pride to be won for us.
  15. I was actually referring to Jake Hastie and his comments about wanting to stay and continue his development at Motherwell and not Alan Burrows who I also think comes across very well in the media.
  16. Basically that he didn't want to leave Motherwell, he knows hes got a lot to learn and Motherwell is the right place for it and that he wants to get the contract done and dusted. I certainly wouldn't hold him to it, he's a young boy being offered life changing money, enough to turn anyone's head. A rangers support wouldn't be so forgiving.
  17. saying what he said so publicly was very naive, which is to be expected from someone so young with probably next to no media training. Imagine he came out with that line to appease a rangers support, god help him.
  18. Liam polworth confirmed !!
  19. Hamilton Academical have signed Southend United centre-half Markus Fjortoft after the 26-year-old Norwegian agreed a one-year contract, but Accies are likely to lose out to Scottish Premiership neighbours Motherwell for the signature of Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Liam Polworth. (Daily Express, print edition)
  20. To suggest Cadden has had a poor season is ridiculous.
  21. Should be doing exactly what hibs done with mcginn, 5 million pounds is his value. And put every penny of it on him being a full scotland international by the end of the year. If he were to go. I reckon i will be genuinely gutted when he goes. More so than moult, kipre and faddy.
  22. interesting thread from when we first signed David Turnbull, 10 years ago !!
  23. The additional money would have been nice, but as fans the additional 120k or whatever we earn would quickly be forgotten about if we were to go and take a few drubbings of 5 clubs who are all playing for European places. Hopefully the bottom 6 sees the return of sexy motherwell, more young well getting a chance and the chance to end the season on a high. 120k or not, going to ibrox again, or having celtic win the league on your patch is never a good thing.
  24. More than happy for Rohan Ferguson to get his chance, if it is indeed a dead leg then I doubt Gillespie will be out beyond the rangers game. With the league over it could be valuable experience for one of our youngsters.
  25. Scrappy scrappy game, nothing between the two teams. We didnt create many chances but we defended well enough. With the final ball into the attackers being over hit, aberdeen werent much better. I thought it was a foul on main in the build up the third?
