  1. I’ll start by saying I’m not looking for SK to be sacked as avoiding relegation, reaching a semi final and having us in the top half of the league are the things that I want to see our manager achieving in a season and so far he’s ticking the boxes well. Now the rub, what I’d also like and expect to see - at least on occasions - is a team that plays a style of football that has me leaving the game buzzing and looking forward to the next game. Unfortunately I feel I’m leaving most games feeling that we’re slowly grinding our way to premiership survival and hoping that what we are watching improves. We see glimpses of some of the talent we have but frustratingly for me in attack our midfield and forward lines seldomly click. This is where my issues with SK and the club hierarchy are, SK is a young manager who I believe needs guidance but with no director of football who’s doing this? I’ve read stories of manager’s talking about being in contact with their ex managers who were successful managers and taking advice from them but I don’t think SK has this so is there something he and the club can do to help him improve as a manager rather then him learning as he goes? Maybe quietly and without publicity pay an older experienced manager to mentor him?
  2. Not going to bother reading all the comments from yesterday as I’ve no doubt most will be along the same lines as my view which is Given our injuries it was probably the correct line up. Given how poor Rangers have been sitting back was the wrong tactics. Was expecting us to try and run at their defence especially Tavenier, not punt long balls that the two central defenders lapped up leaving our forwards useless - totally pissed off. As usual with us when we are involved in big games our youth and inexperienced squad don’t handle it well. Substitutions - WTF?
  3. Hope he gets a game in the semi final as I think with him and Wilson pressuring Tavenier we could get some luck on that side of the park.
  4. Was it not Hong Kong? Or am I thinking of a different ex player to you?
  5. Definitely not getting carried away but we’re 1/3rd of the way to premiership safety and have reached a cup semifinal without having fielded what is supposed our “best team”. No doubt a dip will come but credit to the management and team and hopefully the good times continues.
  6. Slow to everything and very poor passing from everyone.
  7. Previously thought about the school and two options that I thought of were shear fantasies but 1. if the school site was available (and cash available in some form) then turn the park 90 degrees, extend or rebuild the Cooper stand making it the new main or Hunter stand with the other opposite, where the POD is would then be the Cooper for home supporters and finally the away stand at Dazell drive end. 2. New POD and Hunter stands of similar size to the Cooper and joining all 3 together. Due to the lack of depth of the Hunter, would it be possible to have the rear top of the stand overhang the carpark of the school? Would also lose one of the Astro parks as well. In front of the houses at the POD proper disabled facilities with a media centre above it, which shouldn’t be high enough to block planning.
  8. I’m definitely not a fan of moving away from FP but if it happens - wether I agree or not - then I will follow, really don’t get your thought process on not going to a new stadium, maybe you could explain it please? I agree that we’re not moving (or planning to rebuild FP) at the moment but I believe thats probably more down to lack of cash rather than anything else - although if I win the euro on Friday that may change
  9. There are many midfielders who have made a lucrative career - and been lauded by many a pundit and manager - out of predominantly playing sideways and backward passes. Many of whom wouldn’t think of getting stuck in like Davor does.
  10. Jacob Blyth, 8 games 0 goals. I’ll raise you Esteban Casagolda, 12 games 0 goals. Strangely enough he’s scored at every other club he’s played for.
  11. Hopefully, we don’t seem to have much possession in games but we’re defending well - although if we don’t contest and win the red card, do we lose Casey for next week?
  12. One horse race today, Big Ox outstanding, saved a certain goal and a penalty - only a hat trick from Miller could have made it a tighter race.
  13. Probability Premier sport used the BBC for the stream
  14. Think he’s still signed and will be back, just that they feel he’s better recuperating with their physio’s overseeing his recovery rather than our, which I’d like to think we’d do with one of our boys who was on loan.
  15. I feel that Watt has more of an impact as a sub rather than a starter so I’d rather someone else to start although I’m not sure who.
  16. Wasn’t at the game tonight so didn’t vote but I’m surprised no one has went for - or even mentioned - big Ox, online reports and highlights show some important saves.
  17. TV games always give me the fear but this time…
  18. I agree with this in principle but how do we stop opposing fans using it and gaining entry to areas they’re not allowed which could lead to trouble? Not sure how it works at the moment but there is - or was - a QR code next to the ticket office. Going forward we could possibly create and use a data base of WS members, fans who have previously bought tickets for the home stands, ex season ticket holder’s and get them to sign up to the data base logging their phone number to gain access, limiting them to a max 2 tickets.
  19. Here’s the interview, 8 minutes in is where he mentions a slightly different position which he played most of his academy days
  20. Maybe I got it wrong, I’d need to watch it again but I thought it was last season he was in a different role and this season he was back into the position he played in the academy.
  21. A few folk keep talking about this but I seen a PLZ interview with his dad during the week where he said LM was getting played in his more familiar role this season, so it’s possible the manager is playing him in his correct - or should I say HIS preferred - position and playing other in positions to accommodate him. Not really something a manager should do but when your trying to get him to extend his contract then maybe you have to be flexible and play him where he wants to play. Im sure many - possibly even you - would be slating SK and the club if his contract ran down and he left for a development fee.
