  1. When Hammell was touted for the job I said that if chosen we would have to give him at least 2 seasons to learn/ build a team and that there was the potential for relegation this year. Most folk on here were still willing to go with him, yet 12 games into his tenure I’m reading a lot of negative chat about him, talk that he’s not up to the job and even the need to change manager again - FFS can some folk stop and think before posting! Yes we all see things differently and chat is good but get some perspective please - 12 league games and getting knocked out a cup quarter final by Celtic isn’t long enough to judge anyone on. Am I happy with the results or the way we have lost most games? No but at times I see enough to encourage me to believe that thing could get better, results could improve and with some luck this team should be good enough to stay in the top flight this year.
  2. Watching the Hibs game on Hibs tv, StJohnstone defender goes down after being barged in the back by a Hibs player, the commentator then says in a slightly disguised voice “the defender got himself between the striker and the ball then goes down when he feels the slightest touch - a lot of centre defenders now do that” - made me laugh, Ryan Portious ?
  3. Don’t even know what to say about this performance
  4. Disappointing goal to lose, Shields goes to track the guy on his right then changes his mind and goes for the ball - which should have done to start with then when Kelly goes to close the angle no one covers the middle of the goals.
  5. Kind of in agreement with this but if the other team plays to frustrate/kill the game, then it’s a lot harder to play entertaining football.
  6. Not into ex players being involved as they might be biased and I’d have rather set up the VAR review down in England using retired English referees who might have less interest standing by their fellow Scottish referees or in giving certain teams the benefit of the doubt that smaller teams might not get from Scottish referees.
  7. Funny, I thought we hoofed the ball a lot in the first half and the passing was mostly wasteful.
  8. Between Slattery, Penney and Efford, went for Joe ‘cause he’s had a hard time of it and deserves the recognition for his efforts.
  9. Stand by my first half analysis but the second half was a hell of a lot better - must have been one hell of a half time talk by Hammell
  10. I honestly don’t think Shields been any worse than the majority of our team yet he’s the one being singled out ?? KVV, Goss and Spittal have been just as bad.
  11. Tragedy in Indonesia at the weekend where 121 fans died in a crush
  12. Just reading the report on our out on loan players and this made me laugh - I wonder what he said Dunachie will not feature in East Kilbride’s round two tie against Caledonian Braves as the defender seen red in the second half after a conversation with the referee.
  13. Teirney, definitely starting to look the part.
  14. If he comes on and scores in the 85th minute it’s not a problem, the bivril will be cold by then.
  15. Tweet from the man Who’s the number 3 he’s hugging?
  16. Could have been worse - Liam Shaw could have been back for another loan season
  17. Interesting choice, fan’s favourite who won’t get abused and will be given time to adjust - fingers crossed it works out for him. I’d hate to see his status with us tarnished by a poor return.
  18. Sadly most teams will see that kind of result at least once this season against them.
  19. Aye but are the lights still on at FP? We normally hear folk saying they’ve seen this or that at this time of night and does Burrows not normally give it a “that’s all for tonight “ tweet?
  20. Don’t be giving them any ideas, could save the nhs a fortune after the old, infirm and those with a dodgy heart have been killed off!
  21. Don’t like bringing politics into this forum but Scotland can produce/export as much energy as you like but until those producers are publicly owned the price we pay will be linked to the profit the company can make. Corrupt government at Westminster, Holyrood or wherever.
