  1. Campbell still not even making the bench for Millwall. Anyone know what's going on? When does his contract with Luton expire?
  2. Brilliant. This is why small sponsorship deals with the likes of TCL matter. Local kids are the fans of the future, and a club like ours should be doing everything possible to attract them, including free/cheap season tickets. Get them hooked early.
  3. He shouldn't be in the squad, let alone starting, without regular first-team club football.
  4. Spencer was very good last night. I think the situation is such that he's good enough to be a starter for NI, but he isn't good enough to start in RWB ahead of Conor Bradley. I'm sure he's aware of that and is delighted to start at LWB instead.
  5. Looking at the previous head-to-head stats, current form, and injuries/fatigue from international duties, this game has a draw written all over it.
  6. His first task should be to boot Bob Park into the sun.
  7. Having a permanent CEO, instead of a departing Chairman and interim CEO, should put us on a more stable footing in terms of accepting potential incoming investment as their new job is on the line. This scenario probably reduces the pool of potential investors, but I don't think that is a bad thing. The next few months leading up to the summer will be even more interesting now.
  8. Let's hope they sign too many and die again. They're a rancid club with an equally rancid fanbase.
  9. I've been downbeat about the lack of a permanent CEO and moaned about the issues that this has appeared to have caused. A consequence of this saga is that it has had me worried that the current Board would panic and appoint a balloon. However, Caldwell looks like an excellent appointment. Onwards we go.
  10. This is incredible. I'm delighted for him.
  11. It wasn't just the VAR who made a mistake at our goal. The referee was called to the monitor by the VAR, and they agreed with the VAR following their review of the footage.
  12. I think there will come a point, be it this season or next if things don't change, where the 12 SPL clubs should circle their wagons around the SFA on the issue of VAR. Fan pressure on their own clubs will reach a boiling point soon enough to force the collective hand of the clubs to act in unity before fans walk away en masse.
  13. This is them covering the tracks of their mistake with a lesser mistake. Nothing will improve until accountability and transparency are introduced.
  14. The backslapping circle-jerk of a lads club we all know too well, unfortunately.

  16. And I am sure he has many more words to say than most on here.
  17. It may just be me, but I often find that most of the talent tends to be players who bypass the U19/21 squads and go straight into the A squad. Whereas most players who feature consistently for the U19/21s never seem to develop further or make it into the A squad. I'm not sure how good a job Stark and Gemmill are doing or if they even bother to set their players up to develop into Clarke's system. Probably not. These squads seem like little fiefdoms rather than a proper conveyor belt for the A squad. Perhaps I am wrong, and it's just that we're so devoid of swathes of noticeable talent at the youth level these days, or it's going unnoticed or is being mismanaged.
  18. I'm sure he'll be pleased to have your support.
  19. Fair point. February is a strange time to be looking for a new manager. I guess we’ll never know if there were more than 3 candidates unless someone here knows?!
  20. If it takes longer than 30 seconds to identify a clear and obvious error via VAR, then it's not a clear and obvious error and play should continue. It's that simple, but the twats in the video booth are intent on re-refereeing games to justify their stolen wage and fuel their self-important incompetence.
  21. See my above comments. Furthermore, 13 months ago, you could've added Stuart Kettlewell to that list of uninspiring names.
  22. That's completely fine to have that view, but I think it shows the opposite for the reasons I've outlined. We took the cheap and/or easy option. There are also zero guarantees that promoting from within would lead to us doing better, but we still went for that option. I've avoided suggesting or discounting any names on this topic, but my view is that being more ambitious doesn't have to mean seeking a ‘bigger name’, such as Goodwin or Lennon, but that we could've looked beyond our own ranks for someone with more first-team managerial experience, demonstrable tactical nous, and some relative success. For example, a lower league experienced manager who's shown they're capable of stepping up. Instead, we’ve got someone learning on the job, albeit he kept us up last season, but the learning curve has proven costly this season in terms of the lack of cup progression and league position. He has a massive (third) transfer window ahead of him, otherwise, next season will likely be more of the same.
