With the game being live on Sky on a Sunday lunchtime, and with League Cup Semi Final tickets on sale soon, I reckon we'll be doing well to have 1000 Well fans at Dens next week. The crowd will probably be down around 3000 on what would be expected at 3pm on a Saturday, but I suppose the 80k plus from Sky to each club will soften that blow! Been to both away games this week, not sure the funds will stretch to this one too. Its on TV so I can see it, plus we have Tannadice the following Wednesday too, an expensive time for us just now!

This might be the most open MOTM vote ever! No-one was outstanding, but my vote went to Mark Reynolds who for me was our most assured player and defended well.

Bloody awful game, again we seemed incapable of dealing with a side who just lump it forward and who are physical. Only Imrie offered anything resembling fitba from an Accies perspective. We at times tried to play fitba, but fell sort most of the time. Too many poor passes in the final third, and not much supply to our forwards. Gow did give away a lot of ball, but was he any worse than Blackman? Very disappointing 90 minutes, nae real fitba to speak of and only a point gleaned from a 'must win' clash. We need to show more physicality allied to our attempts to play fitba, otherwise we'll be bullied out of things every week. The only positives were a clean sheet and an end to the losing run. Need to improve quickly though, or even achieving Top Six will become a tall order.

Everything that could go wrong did go wrong against that shower of shite at Fir Park. They got all the luck going and used every nasty trick in the book to slow the game down. I'm convinced that they can't be that lucky again. We of course need to be fired up and get stuck in from the off. If we do that our superior quality will shine through. 2-0 Well and McCall off to a flyer!! See you all there!

The SFA wouldn't allow this scenario to happen with either of the bigots. As far as I'm concerned O'Reilly has yet to be cleared of any wrongdoing regards the red card betting scandal, so he should be nowhere near a fitba pitch until then. He will get dogs abuse for 90 minutes and deserved every word of it.

It never ceases to amaze me how seemingly normal sane adult human beings can think like that!!

I agree that the video tribute should've recognised Phil's efforts at Motherwell, especially as we were their opponents last night. Shame on you Shellic! However I will pay tribute to their fans who applauded the unfurling of our O'Donnell #10 flag, credit where its due.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm not a fan of personal assaults on folk just because they have an opinion that differs from the majority. Now in saying that, I do disagree with much of what Steve Diggle says, but I do not deny him the right to his view any more than he will mind me repectfully disagreeing. Youngy did his best in his time in charge, but I wonder if ALL the players are able to say the same.

Of course you have to back the manager. Stuart McCall deserves our full support from the off. If things don't go well then we can moan, but let's give the guy a chance first eh?!! Good luck Stuart and Tommy.

First half was similar to Boxing Day, but in the second we were far better. Not enough to derserve a point but still a bit more encouraging nonetheless. Onwards and upwards.

I honestly feel that if we can shut down McCourt then they won't have a great deal to offer going forward that will harm us. He is their only real dangerman, and on a good day could do what Weiss did to us on Sunday, so I'd go man-for-man on him.
-
Mind you, he'd get the side battling again, that's for sure. It maybe wouldn't be our ideal choice, but I can think of a few worse! If it is to be Stuart McCall then we should get behind him.

Aye, the whole last 25 minutes of the 6-6 with Hibs was a wonderful memory. From the moment big Giles made it 6-3 the atmosphere of positivity and belief increased, and when the Juke crashed home 'that' goal the feeling was immense. Truly amazing.

Fir Park is Motherwell's home and I for one hope it always will be. It just wouldn't feel right watching the Dossers play anywhere else and call it home. Having said that, it does cost thousands each year in repairs and improvements to keep Fir Park operational, and this more than anything else eats into the playing budget. How would we feel if even more went into repairs and the team were nearer the bottom of the SPL? Rather than not go to games because of facilities, the club need a few more regulars to boost the coffers. When I first went to fitba no-one spoke of boycotting games due to poor facilities, mainly because most facilities at most grounds were dire anyway! Perhaps its time to get more sponsors on board, one for each stand as well as one for the playing kit. Even an extra 100k or so per season would be a Godsend.

I wonder if THE PUB might screen the match?!!...... Iraqgoals is usually good for games like this too.

I wouldn't go that far!!!

I'm sure this thread will start all negative, with thoughts of another humping on the way and what have you. Howver as Wednesday gets nearer and we all remember how pish Shellic have been lately, a little confidence will start to spread amongst us Dossers! That might be the only predicition I get right this season mind!! Team-wise I feel we MUST make 3 or 4 changes for Wednesday, both with tactics and freshening the side up in mind. I think Jenno is available and I would also start with Sutty and Fitzy. We need better ball retention and a bit more fight in the side. My team would be: Randolph Hateley Craigan Reynolds Hammell Humphrey Lasley Jennings Fitzpatrick Gow Sutton Subs: Hollis, Saunders, Hutchinson, Forbes, Murphy, McHugh, Blackman Am I mad to drop out 2 top scorers to the bench? Maybe, but perhaps they could be used as impact subs later in the game. With Hump and Fitzy out wide we will be strong going forward, but will also have defensive discipline there to support the full backs. We are capable of getting a draw here if the team selection, tactics and effort is right. So I'll say 1-1 with big Nick proving me right with a late leveller!

As regards Gow, he has so much skill and ability, not to mention a great fitba brain. We'd be very well off if some of our other players were on his wavelength more often. Yes he gives the ball away, but when you're a creator who takes risks that will happen.

By a country mile Las, who worked his socks off but was left exposed in midfield too often.

Yesterday it was as limp and lifeless a Motherwell display as we've seen, especially in a game involving one of the bigots. The team showed too much respect to them ans sat off far too much. We barely made a tackle worthy of the name and were were frankly bullied at times. The only time we got in their faces and showed what we were about was when we scored and immediately after it. If we'd gone with that attitude from minute one we'd have at least provided a contest to them. As it was we let them run through us and made Weiss look like Lionel Messi. Perhaps the bug that affected Hateley and others had a bigger impact than first thought, but we require to get the fingers out and roll up the sleeves ahead of Wednesday, cos no matter how pish they've been they'll pump us if we put up that level of performance again.
-
Aye, was a number of folk dealing with it so hopefully everything will be ship-shape for Boxing Day.
-
Think he'd be a great appointment, hope we can get it all sorted out in time for Boxing Day.

Always sad when we lose a dosser, particularly so at this time of year. My thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends. RIP Deaddogman

I certainly hope that Aberdeen have made some kind of concession to the club, would be very disappointed if we just let it go, as we seemingly have done with other issues lately...... That said I have trust and confidence in people like Leeann and Flow, don't think they'd put up silently with Motherwell getting shafted.

Some of the bets were placed in Liverpool, not all. Many of the bets were placed in-match, although some apparently were made prior to the match, which is slightly strange. It will be very interesting to see what happens, but its worth noting that nothing untoward actually occured.
