  1. I certainly never called Slattery hitting an intended 10 yard pass, 2 feet - even on plastic.
  2. Callum Slattery first to join this season's "Defensive Disaster" Hall of Fame. Dear, as they say, Oh Dear.
  3. Premier Sports are streaming it, apparently - if you're happy to spend 99 quid for a sub.
  4. Panoramic views over the plastic pitch to the empty gazebo stand, with the magnificent, imposing edifice of Morrison's as a backdrop.
  5. The new gaffer is no different from previous managers at this time in the season. The starting line up in the first league cup games takes a shape for many different reasons. Some players are further ahead in their fitness than others, so more likely to start. The manager wants to try out a few new combinations in a competitive match. The manager wants to "balance the load" across the squad over the next few weeks. Anyone with even a small twinge from training will not be risked. Some players handle plastic pitches better than others. Lennon Miller is about to be sold. etc, etc.
  6. Official site says the game will be streamed on MFC TV for overseas subscribers (no PPV option).
  7. We could insist that everyone starts a new Topic any time they want to say something not directly associated with the Topic headings, but I imagine there would be complaints about having 354 new one-post Topics every day.
  8. If you can wait 4 minutes, I'll post my response.
  9. If you can wait 4 minutes, I'll post my response.
  10. I'm not sure Armstrong fits the new gaffer's (or Wimmer's) preferred style, tbh. I'm not even sure we need a "big, powerful" striker as that also depends on the style preferences. There are a number of successful teams that don't use them. I would hope, however, he has ideas of his own and won't need to rely on loans from last season.
  11. Good deal for Watt and Partick I think.
  12. From memory it's a bit hit and miss. Depends if any TV company is covering it as MFC TV uses the TV feed. If not, then we are dependent on a club's own coverage, and quite a few don't offer that. Although technology has made it easier.
  13. And those of us over the age of 35 know it's Ferrigno
  14. He was one of may favourite players when I was a kid. I think I was about 9 or 10 when he joined us. Of course, at that age I had no idea of his history. For a brief time we had Wullie P, Bobby G and Peter M together.
  15. I'd prefer Marinello-esque, but will take what I can get.
  16. It's not the Motherwell content that's the issue.
  17. Short sighted means your close up vision is good. I can speak from experience of being short sighted and always taking my glasses off to read (because my close up vision is perfect). If it's further away I need bigger text, but I don't read websites from further away.
  18. Maybe it's the people that are happy being fed whatever Elon or The Zuck spews at them instead of connecting to the Fediverse that are luddites.
  19. Short sighted means you can read close up. No big text necessary. Just sayin'
  20. No doubt a typical slow start as we find our feet in the first half before we come into our own in the second half and close things out in the final 30 mins.
  21. 100% agree. The only reason I still use Twitter is to follow the club and I have made a few suggestions that we either ditch it or, at least, share that information elsewhere.
  22. I hope we don't have a 3rd strip - one of the worst examples of money-grabs in the modern game. The blue, presumably is a nod to the Ravenscraig towers (and our historical team colours). I've never been a fan of using claret as the base colour for our change kit though. Too Hearts-y.
