Way too early to give a verdict on Mandron. He's only made a few starts (and see other discussion on Furlong). Just having him play alongside KVV has been beneficial anyway, as van Veen has been thriving with that extra man up top. If all Mandron is doing is keeping another defender occupied then that has been working OK.

The change kit rules seem to have been getting more and more lax over the past few seasons to the extent that I've seen some games down south where opposing teams are wearing the same colours. Of course they were different shades, but even that used to be forbidden. I suppose with Kelly's black kit, it would be hard for even that ref to confuse the keeper with himself.

Sportsound touting KVV for a move to Rangers again. I hope he does a Higdon and takes his next payday in the Dutch league. I suppose he could move down south too, but his form there has been middling at best.

I've always been of the opinion that if you must send something to VAR they get 30 seconds to look at it. If you can't see an error or incident in that time there was nothing clear and obvious and you move on. I never had any confidence in VAR being implemented well in Scotland and I have seen no reason yet to change my mind.
