County's early tactic - crock KVV
-
The Well Society sent out an email today soliciting feedback on the proposals by noon on 26th May. Don't be shy.
-
I lost that innocence when I went to the 1975 semi-final against Airdrie with the same notion.
-
Even if he was 100% it was a top class save.

Looking over Hampden before kick-off: great Opening 20 mins: stressed at Utd hitting the post and offside "goal" Scoring the opener: elated Maxwell getting badly injured: stressed Utd equaliser: stressed and worried due to Maxwell's injury Goal: exicted Goal: we might just about hang on here Utd goal: more stress we won't see it out Utd goal: more stress Final whistle: exhausted and stressed Extra time kick-off: can't let it go to penalties Goal: elated Remainder of extra time: stressed, feels like 2 hours Maxwell's save from Malpas: Unbelievable, we've done it! It's great to look back on, but I was a nervous wreck for 120 minutes as it really was a game that was decided on the last kick/save of the game. What a day.

I'm certainly getting close to closing it due to it being mostly mince.

I like to think we'll be very even handed and beat all five teams. The bottom 4 can sort out the relegation issues between themselves.

The difficulty of the post-split games are very context dependent. After the weekend's results, County are definitely looking at an escape route now. If Killie win their home game against St Johnstone, however, County really need to beat us to have a realistic chance of overhauling them to safety. So it has the makings of a tough game. On the positive side, County are second bottom for a reason. We have a decent record against them and I doubt Jordan White is going to cause as many problems for McGinn/Butcher/Casey as he did for the wobbly Dundee Utd defence. In fact, I'd say he is an ideal match-up for our back 3. I imagine they will be looking to keep things tight and hit us on the break rather than come out all guns blazing, but if we can get the same kind of start as we did against Killie that should force their hand and make a more open game. And I fancy our chances in an open game. 3 - 0 for us, with 2 late goals.

It's the the middle of May and this season doesn't end for another 3 weeks and it's too early to be releasing a new kit?
-
You're making feel old for remembering the MFC script on the 1970 shirt.
-
As opposed to the let downs from our poor performances in the League Cup?
-
His first pen should be titled "Budget Bergkamp's Poundshop Panenka" Great recovery though. Never easy to hit a retake.
-
I don't have a huge dislike of Utd, but Jim Goodwin was a thug on the field, so no sympathy for him. Also Steven Fletcher's man-bun needs removed from the top flight.
-
Their pitch is terrible, but it's still better than plastic. I'd bet the players feel better after playing on it than after playing on plastic too.
-
In our last 2 games the defence has given up a total of 2 shots on target. That's a a good platform for winning.
-
They've been very fragile at the back all season, as their -25 goal difference confirms.
-
And not lost any away games.
-
I'm hoping they're resting him because they have received a huge bid from an EPL team.
-
Aye, losing out on an extra few hundred thousand Euros and UEFA bonus payments (even after a first round KO) is a real bonus.
-
I think that accounts for about half his goals this season. Nice to see Utd get cuffed, though.

Professionally pick the professionals' professional in today's professional performance...

Still safe. Just sayin'

Goal difference up to zero now. Moved into 7th place. Safety guaranteed. Now that's out of the way, can anybody persuade me KVV should be our penalty taker? For such a talented striker I've never been convinced by his pens. That aside, was a very good result in a ground where we've struggled to win in recent times. Special mention to the groundsman who has manged to take a grass pitch and make it play almost as poorly a plastic.

Ben Hall - was said to be around 250k at the time. Also: Marvin Johnson - 650k (plus addons we cashed in when he was sold on) Henrik Ojamaa - brought in for free, - 500,000 Euros Henri Anier - brought in for free, sold for undisclsoed Cédric Kipré - brought for free, sold for 1 million (plus addons we cashed in on when he was sold on) Jake Hastie - 350k (plus addons) on the back of 5 decent performances James Scott - 1.2 million plus addons Turnbull - 3.5 million plus addons. Then there are the deals we did for youngsters who moved on at end of contract, McAlear, Campbell, McKinstry etc. all with addons too apparently. We even managed to get money for Moult in the January window when he could have moved on a Bosman at the end of his contract. Likewise for Tony Watt when he his toys were out the pram. KVV"s obvious selling point is his goal tally this season. The drawbacks for a buying club are his age - little resell value - and the fact that no striker has ever left us and repeated their form the following season. Closest was Higdon who managed about 50% of his previous season.
