  1. No wonder Slattery gets a hard time in here if people are confusing him with Spittal! The pass was excellent and the finish even better.
  2. Does that make me a racist? Fixed - ready for the Blaney votes to start flooding in.
  3. No pinko, liberal, commie, snowflake participation prizes in this house. More importantly, having a team vote has exactly the same effect as not voting for anyone when it comes to tallying the individual player votes at the end of the season.
  4. Pound Shop Skippy Sunday. Take your pick...
  5. I was surprised to see Goss starting given the reports he hasn't been able to train all week.
  6. We were never going to win this one. Even if all our rivals win today, Dundee Utd and Killie will need to win 6 more points than us after the split and Ross County will need to win 10 more points after the split to put us in any trouble. Given they are all playing each other, that will be a bit of a stretch. And I'm pretty confident we will be picking up more than 0 points post-split. I hope at least you get more enjoyment out of your misery-posts than you do out of the games.
  7. Isn't there an audio-only commentary too? There used to be one for UK based fans. (I'd still like an option with no commentary though).
  8. Is our plan to start in a 3-6-1 formation today?
  9. Our biggest win of the season had those 3 as starters.
  10. Is it too soon for "What do Northern Ireland and the Scottish Premiership have in common? County Down" Probably, but the caffeine has just kicked in and I'm on a roll (and bacon).
  11. I dreamt last night that we opened the scoring. What happened after that remains unclear.
  12. And the Celtic fans were fuming about McCann, screaming for him to be ousted because he never spent any money (when in reality he, unfortunately for us, put the club on a firm financial footing that has left them in their current position).
  13. How could you tell if Sondre Solholm pulled up with a hamstring injury - he couldn't run any slower.
  14. I'd prefer it if they have to start at National League level and try to work their way up the pyramid.
  15. If we finish 10th on goal difference this season then Kettlewell has met his brief i.e. keep us up. The fact that we have been winning more than we have been losing and playing better football is a welcome bonus.
  16. I think I'm in the same boat these days. Maybe by not as much, but as well as what you mention, the fact that they manged to bypass the rules and stay in the League (when every other club in liquidation is ejected) is what annoyed me the most. The excuses and the complaints and the way they screwed over so many suppliers and vendors etc. along the way by claiming that was the old club's debt when it suited them were bad enough. Still be happy to see them both leave our league though - and no B teams lingering like a bad smell.
  17. 18 - 0 to Celtic. Anything less is a moral victory. Seriously, though, with our goal difference being superior to our bottom-6 rivals, a good performance and a tight scoreline is key.
  18. WE'RE DOOMED!! Take your pick anyway. *we're not doomed
  19. Panic in the VAR booth as the official struggles to find his Motherwell rule book and after a few minutes of fruitless searching has to use his Old Firm guide instead. (One pager - goal given).
  20. I'll be looking out for your cheerful posts if we get a draw today.
  21. It would be boring if we knew beforehand that we were guaranteed a win. Most important thing will be to stay aggressive and play on the front foot.
  22. How do you make a small fortune betting on the horses? Start with a large fortune.
  23. Us regularly beating teams at the bottom of the league isn't unusual. Even this season when we were mince we beat Ross County and Dundee Utd away. Of course teams fighting for their lives can win games, but they don't win that many. That's why they are at the bottom of the league. And because a team fighting for their life beats us once out of four or five matches doesn't mean it always happens and it's the Motherwell way etc. etc. It's hardly making an arse of yourself when a relegation candidate pulls out all the stops for survival. I expected it when we have been in trouble and I expect it from every basement team we play.
