  1. He looks comfortable in Claret and Amber anyway.
  2. You'd think so. I mean, it's not like he'll be earning such a large amount of money here that he'll be happy sitting in the stands every game.
  3. Sol / Kipre / Dec / Ojala / O'Connor / Bevis all right footed but managed to play together.
  4. I'm afraid it's a no from me David.
  5. I was thinking the same thing about the back four. Johnston is a must so whichever out of him and O'Donnell is more comfortable at left back. I'd go 4-4-2 though, drop Spittal and have Maguire doing nothing else but tracking runners from midfield and shielding the defence.
  6. Yeah, still think we'll finish above Killie and County.
  7. Okay, seen enough. Max Johnston to start every game now.
  8. Great knock by Sol and a calm finish.
  9. Penney sleeping again and Nisbet unmarked again.
  10. Don't get what you mean. The correct shout would have been pulling Sol back to cover and Lamie staying with Nisbet.
  11. Even though I think it was the wrong shout, Lamie was clearly telling Penney to mark Nisbet.
  12. From that point of view I can agree with you: Stevie probably has the final word on signings and he is the one who has to face the media rather than Burrows or the recruitment chap who is so anonymous that I can't recall his name.
  13. ^I'd say that those signings are more a reflection on the performance of our head of recruitment. Stevie had very little time before the end of the summer window but the recruitment chap should have identified a number of targets way in advance irrespective of the managerial situation.
  14. ^Anthony Straker is without a club and we need a quality left back to replace Matt Penney. How's that for starters?
  15. Really need a win but wouldn't be surprised if it's another draw.
  16. Hartley's a free agent so no harm in asking him along to training for a week or two and if he's past it then say cheerio, no harm done. Same goes for Leigh Griffiths.
  17. David Moyes might be looking for a new challenge soon.
  18. And County taking a point off the sheep isn't ideal either.
  19. ^ Yup, Shields is having a good second half. He may not be of the level that we need but he is nowhere near as bad as some like to make out.
  20. MFC TV is working perfectly well.
  21. If I remember correctly from the Euro games, he's a left-footer so ideally won't play alongside Lamie.
  22. Ipswich expect Penney to return in a couple of weeks. The manager was asked in a press conference today. He's out of contract in the summer so they probably want to get a few quid for him fairly soon.
  23. He signed at the end of August so six months would take him through to the end of February.
  24. Yep, not writing the game off, just setting up much more defensively with Shields' pace upfront potentially for a counter-attack.
