No idea what a podcast is or how to use my iphone (beyond tracking my bike rides and looking up the football) but this comment got me and The Wife has now set me up and I'll have a listen when I get home from work!
Selling club? More like 'releasing'club in recent years, I'm glad to see a change in attitude now and hopefully we can go back to being a selling club.
Feel a bit sorry for the big man, he seemed to be regaining his confidence and was playing well then McCall bizarrely recalled Hollis for the last few games of the season.
With the peculiar signing of two centre-backs on loan I'd say we should go three at the back - Laing - O'Brien - McManus - and with Straker seemingly comfortable at both left full-back and left wing he should be well suited to a wing-back role. The weak link will be at right back though as who can bomb forward effectively from there? Not Kerr, so maybe young Watt?
Riiight, so we're seemingly being linked with anyone who's Irish now. Not sure if that's better or worse than being linked to anyone who's ever played for Bradford.
Thought he might get the job purely because his wage demands might be lower than the other five. That's not to say that he won't turn out well, hopefully his previous scouting position will be of great benefit to us.
As far as I can make out only Butcher and Black have officially been interviewed. The club had only previously said that two had already been interviewed with another two due next week - no names mentioned - but the media assumed them to be Baraclough, Shiels and the two Dutchmen.
The new man won't be able to bring his own people until next season though. Don't think the club can afford to pay off Black and Marshall. Agree that we need a fresh new outlook though. Diet and fitness need looking at for sure.
The BBC have just rehashed their Butcher piece to include Baraclough's name although without any quotes, sources or any real details other than ex-Sligo and Scunthorpe. Very lazy journalism.
My Grand-dad was faced with this dilemma when Third Lanark folded and he opted for Motherwell so I'd be tempted to support the resurrected Thirds but in all honesty I'd have to say Scotland and Scotland only.
