  1. I’ll be watching game on paramount+ today instead of stream.
  2. Probably a good move starting Watt with his experience and bring on Maswanhise When Watt starts to tire. Shame about Nicholson. I like him as an option.
  3. Hopefully we can get an early goal again but this time, capitalize on it and get to enjoy the game instead of fraying the nerves
  4. Agree intentional of the rule was to stop players camping out in attacking half.
  5. The ref was looking right at it during the game and was pretty close and saw nothing. Not sure how he changed his mind after VAR, Gordon clearly is moving to play the ball and Utd player runs across his foot/leg. it’s the Utd player who hits Gordon’s leg VAR is a good tool to have but it is not being used properly. Let the officials ref the game and help them with OBVIOUS ERRORS, not microscopic offside calls, or decisions that take 2 minutes to figure out.
  6. That’s a part of the issue though, isn’t it? If Celtic had said, wow! We got away with one there, that should have been a PK. Teams/ managers/officials need to start telling the truth about dubious/wrong calls.
  7. If we get 12 points I’ll be happy.
  8. We are going to need to need our full squad of fit players over the next few weeks. Hell of a schedule we have in front of us. Let’s hope we can pick up some points and come thru it with no long term injuries. Need to win the lottery if you want attend all the games !!! dec 20 Killie h Dec 26 Celtic a dec 29 rangers h Jan 2 hearts a jan 5 Aberdeen h jan 8 Killie a jan 11 hibs a
  9. When is McGinn back? McGinn Gordon Casey is the best starting option I think.
  10. Well maybe for 6 minutes. After that they were down to 10 men
  11. I think our defence has regressed in as much we are missing McGinn. The back 3 of McGinn, Gordon, Casey started the season solid as a rock. The sooner we can get back to that the better. Our midfield is starting to look like it will be much better with players coming back from injury. I think we also have some decent forwards. SK has taken a lot of stick for his recruitment but with players returning from injuries, it’s now starting to look like we have a decent squad of players capable of keeping us in top 6
  12. I was wondering about that for picking Watt or Maswanhise. Watts mentality and experience might fare better in this one to start with then bring Maswanhise on for the last 30 mins or so
  13. He just didn’t seem to get off the ground yesterday. Didn’t necessarily need to punch it but just rip it out off harms way. However he did have several other good saves. I’m sure the coaching staff will be working with him on that part of his game.
  14. I think that’s the only question for SK Maswanhise or Watt to start.
  15. 36% possession and we get 4 goals. Ox had a few good saves today especially the one he tipped onto the crossbar but he certainly needs to work on his one handed punching.
  16. A lot of better performances today but still a lot of room for improvement. Having Paton, Sparrow, Nicholson back gives us much more positive midfield and players running with the ball. Much better service to Stam helped a lot. Thought O’Donnel was excellent when he came on. So I think Kaleta starting and replace with O’Donnel later in the game will work well for us. Miller had his best game for a while but then he had some more able players around him.
  17. Need to take our chances if we are going to be gifting goals
  18. Definitely. Can’t be thinking we have won this. Need to complete the job this half.
  19. Would also be worthwhile seeing if we can also tie it into some arrangement for loan players…… if it’s true
  20. His other achievement not mentioned is taking 3 points home from Ibrox. I understand the concerns and why people are not keen on SK but I’d say we have actually seen some decent football from us earlier on in the season that seems to have been forgotten about but definitely agree that some recent performances have been rank. I’d also agree that he is a frustratingly slow learner or perhaps a bit narrow minded on how we should play. However, all in all I don’t think he’s worse than many experienced managers who are set in their ways. At lease there’s some hope, with SK being a fairly new manager, that he will learn and adapt. I’d rather move forward with the stability of keeping SK rather than changing managers every two years and not just because of the financial benefits. I think we have a better chance of maintaining a settled team/squad and achieving “success” by having the same long term manager. Of course we have to sell players who attract interest and can financially benefit the club from being sold but if we can maintain same basic core with minor adjustments year on year, that’s better than managers coming in every two years in with different styles of play and clearing out the playing staff to replace them with players they like. I also think that SK has shown some skill in developing individuals as well as keeping team morale up, attributes that may help us attract some good players. I’m probably on the minority but i thought we played some good football when we got beat 4-1 at Dundee. We lost the plot, mentally, for 10 minutes and it was a terrible score line but for a lot of that game there was some nice football. Granted, St Mirren first half was woeful but better second half. With players coming back to fitness I think we will see more good than bad performances.
