  1. Can't remember the last time I got excited at Champions League fixture being on or when I last watched one. (Barring our albeit brief visit)
  2. So now it's down to do we bleed a couple of more youngsters or go for the extra £200K ............... over to Mr McGhee and the Motherwell Board to decide.

My biggest concern is that Accies have just taken a point from Celtic, Killie have the new manager factor plus have added an experienced player in Julian Faubert to their ranks, so botht hose are likely to give them a lift. Utd have just added three points onto their tally for the season and apart from our result against them they haven't done too badly, in recent games when you add cup result in. So where is our lift coming from? Should we have got it when we signed Faddy? Shouldn't we have got when we beat Utd? 1-0 up at St Johnstone? 1-1 at St Johnstone, surely we should have had a chance of seeing out the game? But none of these seemed to have inspired us. I ain't including Partick in this equationbecause of their games in hand at present. On the last minute goals is down to the subs McGhee is making, or is just we have players that panic and can't see out 90 minutes of football? We need something to give us a little impetus to even think about starting a run of games, to gather enough points for survival and I have a feeling at the minute, despite how good some people think our team is, we are seen as being the weakest position just now. I would say a play-off scenario beckons again but could be worse. However a win against Thistle today and Accies next week can change that. The players have to realise that and the fans will need to do their bit and pull them through as well. No matter how dire the game is.
  4. Anymore of this nonsense and you can all go to the sandpit.... or Firhill depending on which has more.
  5. I take it you think we'll be 3-0 up with 90 seconds left Weeyin..... any longer than that we'd lose....
  6. I don't give a darn about form or who plays or who doesn't but a nice belated birthday present of 3 points and 5-0 win for the 'Well would be quite apt....... Seriously though .... 3 points please..... Misters McGhee, Lasley & Co.
  7. Good score so far, hopefully see this game out now, another goal would be good.
  8. That's the way I took it as well Scoojy but couldn't work out the fullbacks.
  9. Team is Ripley, Laing, McManus, Hall, Cadden, Lasley, Gomis, McFadden, Johnson, Moult and McDonald. Anyone work out the formation?
  10. The one thing that worries me is if we do put a run together are we going to see Killie, or any of the other teams about us, do a Ross County and put a run together to keep us where we are?
  11. My thoughts on the changes: Moult should've be on for Pearo, with Skippy sitting back a bit as soon as we equalised. Not saying that game would've been any different but Pearo seemed lost wherever he played on Saturday. Also as mentioned Las would've probably been able to at least annoy Roberts before he got the shot away. Why Ainsowrth was brought on with 2 minutes to do, I don't know. Too late to do anything in attack and left us a body short in defence to hold out for a draw. Anyway, all this is hindsight, so now let's not make the same mistakes at Killie.
  12. From the BBC Gossip Didn't realise that the club actually organised this.
  13. And fans of a certain defunct club (or Newco) aren't happy on twitter.... at least something to put a smile on my face today. Not a good period for the club recently on and off the park.
  14. Thought at the time yesterday he pulled out of any tackle for the 1st yesterday as it was right in front of me. However he was the only one who reacted when Las and Kennedy had an argument after a loose pass from Las. Initially thought a free kick had been given as everyone seemed to stop apart from Law and a couple of ICT players. If he hadn't we'd have been a goal down and a whole team to blame..
  15. Was in the POD today and when you hear the Cooper start booing the manager you know we have problems. Then the East Stand started in with you don't know what you're doing. Then it appeared folk in the POD started. At this point he's calling Moult over to go on and we score. So he then sits and waits the best part of another 15 minutes before any changes, you have to ask why? I was surprised that Lasley went off, I'd have taken Pearo off. Even Marv was looking done after a few knocks so Ainsworth should've been on earlier not with 2 minutes to go..... so much for the comments where he sees AInsworth as a game winner, two minutes ain't enough time for that to happen. As for the late goal again....... not a lot that I can say that would be suitable for the board.
  16. Surely the ref would win that poll, at least the majority of the time.. Edit: Don't know what happened there but was in response to Do we also need a Villian of the match poll? ☹️
  17. Craig Reid released https://twitter.com/MotherwellFC
  18. Pleased with Gomis, a decent player. Now who drops out of the midfield for him? Would be a bit unfair on Cadden if it was him.
  19. China apparently. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/hearts-make-15million-osman-sow-7286680#sxLEQJsYbHVCKEjL.97 5 months left on his current contract.
  20. Oxford Utd apparently interested in Maguire.
  21. I was just pointing out the level of the players on a freebie... Not saying that I'd like us to see them signed... however in Maguire's case he has had at least had something about him in the past and he's still only 27, so he's got years on some of our current elder statemen....
  22. There probably are but likely to involve a fee, not sure if we'll see any money laid out for players this window unless we sell someone this afternoon.
  23. See Chris Maguire has been released from Rotherham, there's an abundance of freebies piling up for us.......
  24. This from the BBC: Ryan WIlliams previously linked with us. Going by last January's recruitment we like a player from York..... John McCombe 30 year old Centre Back.. Josh Laurent described as a midfielder and occassional defender, 20 years old has been through the QPR Accademy. Montell Moore another 20 year old midfielder came through Brentford's Academy. Aurelien Joachim striker that seems to have had his goals dried up recently. I am not saying that we are after any of these players but I'd imagine that this is a sample from the pool of players (i.e free transfers and\or players agreeing to cancel their current contracts with their clubs) that we are shopping in if we are signing permanently, rather than a loan.
