When Leitchy's name first appeared as a possible contender, I thought it might be a good shout, especially as he's been working with the youngsters. However there were reports about his attitude to the players when assistant under McGoo both here and at Aberdeen, as a manager, what he might get away with as an assistant or even head of youth, he won't get away with as the manager. So he needs to realise that before making the step up. Adams, obviously everyone here has their own opinion on him, I liked him when he was here as a player. He done a lot of the dirty work. I was even impressed with his first spell at Ross County, even admired him for having the gumption to jack in his assistant role at Hibs and return to Ross County. However, you then started to see a different side to him with arguments with various opposition coaches and rumours of disagreements with players, makes me think it's another to avoid. As for who we could go for I have no sepcific names but he shouldn't be afraid to mix our youths in with the experienced guys, even in our predicament. Maybe give guys with knocks a chance to get over them properly and start getting them back to a proper fitness level, for that Black has to go. He also needs to be able to make his own decisions on a the goalkeeper slot and not rely on Marshall's advice. So a mix between Sir Alex, Van Gaal, Mourinho, Gannon and Jim Leishman should do it.

All I can really say is thanks for the memories, shame this season dived the way it did. Oh and of course Good Luck in the future Mr McCall.

I see from the BBC Gossip pages that Strachan wants Hearts, Hibs and The Rangers in the top league, even if it has to be manipulated. Scotland boss Gordon Strachan says the top flight must be "manipulated" in order to bring back Rangers, Hearts and Hibernian from the Championship. Only two promotion spots are available. (Various) So does that mean we'll see the league extended to save us Or more likely the bottom 3 go down, no playoff.

Saw this on the BBC Story of McCall leaving. "McCall is the second Premiership manager to depart this season afterRoss County sacked Derek Adams in August.Adams, a former Motherwell player, told BBC Scotland's Sportscene programme: "Nobody could have done any better than Stuart McCall has done at that football club." Asked if the position interested him, Adams said: "It's a job that a lot of people would be interested in."" I read that as if he doesn't like the club much so why ask if he'd be interested.

Martin Woods (another name mentioned on here) has signed for Ross County.

Alex Neill said they currently have 7 first team players out. He had to put in three 18 year olds, one of them scored the winning penalty. We only had 2 first team players unavailable and I think McCall based his team on who wouldn't pick up another injury on the plastic surface. However 7 first team players out when their team trains and plays on a plastic pitch, makes you wonder if it's the cause, especially when you look at our casualty list after Stjarnan.

Former Motherwell player Euan Murray has agreed a 1 year deal with Clyde and starts on the bench today.

Welcome back Lionel and Good Luck to Hutchy, a good servant for the club and he has earned this move. Think it is the step up he needs. Hopefully we get to say farewell to him at Fir Park.

Good to see Keef on board. See the BBC are carrying the story Motherwell expect McCall to stay. Why do they think he'd go elsewhere?
-
Going to be down Fleetwood way, the first week of July, would be good if the club can get something sorted. Then again, wonder how the missus will feel about being left in the caravan.

Welcome back on board Mr Reid. Hutchies replacement????

Think that idea is a no goer - it sounds too much like it'd involve water.

I did have a laugh at it, seeing as did tend to focus on McManus. But yeah, I think the way the middle 4 has been deployed has caused a lot of problems. The article identified that if Faddy and Vigurs were in the team we were defensively weaker. However if you add Ainsworth to that as well.then it really left us exposed. However leaving out Ainsworth left us with a lack of pace to get the ball out of defence. We all remember the way McGhee had us set up for the quick counter attack and the way we could get the ball up the park quickly and take the pressure of the defence. The way we set up now, we are a lot more pedestrian and that doesn't help us if we then lose the ball. However we're doing something right with the mount of goals we are scoring, the number of games we're winning. So it probably just needs a few tweaks to sort things out. And drop McManus ............................... Not!!
