Well that saves me going digging the old hard drive out.
-
It was indeed. I'll try and dig it out again this weekend. Youtube has the 2nd

The way the game is going Gaag, it won't be needed anyway..... :wallbash:

My thoughts exactly so who voted for Celtic to keep their share? I know Aberdeen have been quoted over the course of the season as voting with Celtic, especially on league sizes as they'd preferred a 10 team league at the time. (Why I'm not sure, as they are just as likely to see the 1st Division as anyone else in a 10 team set up.) Surely, this should've been made public knowledge as well rather than hiding it away. At a time when clubs are calling out for fans to come through the door or to invest in them, this comes as a kick in the teeth for those making that extra effort. Remind me again which stadium gets the biggest crowds in the SPL..... Oh, wait that'll be Celtic, so they are getting all that gate money, money from UEFA for the Champions League as well as keeping their prize money intact for the SPL while the other clubs try to wring the fans of every last penny with promises of fan ownership, shares, the death of their club if they don't. Sometimes makes me wonder why we even bother having a voting structure, I mean we all thought that with Rangers and Celtic in the SPL the 11-1 vote was rigged in their favour. Now looks like they only need one of those two and it's still rigged in their favour. These clubs need to realise that without them Celtic and their Newco partners across the city don't have a league to play in without them. How can we even look at a new league structure when we're not treated as equals when it comes to what's best for Scottish Football and not what's best for any particular team. They'll have a couple seasons in this new league format and then announce what we all already know from other countries that have already tried it. And why? Because Newco will be ready to move into the top league and then once again it all comes down to pandering to the Firm. Due to the finances I don't attend the games as often as I would like to just now and sometimes have gone because I feel guilty about not having bought into the Well Society or got the new strips for the lads but when you see that our club and the others have quite gladly accepted splitting some of the 2nd place money between them and not touched Celtic's then why should I feel bad?

and the Club have their say: Official page

That explains why Bradford and the FA are paying for it. Big well done to them but there shouldn't be a charge in the first place.
-
Reading that makes you wonder if that's why Sevco are worried about being in the bottom tier again. After all they'd come up against teams that could give them a game, especially as only twice a season would be classed as cup ties and the chance for the other stronger teams to make up any points they drop to them straight away. If 18 is good enough for the bottom league then it's just as good for a top league.

New Voucher system in place for today's game. Official Site As for the game, I'd go with Ojamaa out wide and McHugh along side Higgy up front. 3-1 the 'Well.

From today's Record Murphy set for the Blades
-
Absolutely delighted with that result and how I'd wish to be a fly on the Aberdeen bus going up the road, watchig Pa Broon greet about how they was robbed. Well Done McCall and the team, Merry Xmas indeed.

He turns 35 in February, so why would we want to give a wage to a player that is likely only to want a maximum of 6 months? I'd rather see someone sign that wants to be here past the end of the season or how about this for a revolutionary idea, give Carswell more game time and develop the lad so he's ready for next season?
-
Where is this nonsense coming from about Ferguson? If we're getting rid of players of the calibre of Murphy and OJ just to bring in Ferguson I'll not be happy. Barry "the crab" Ferguson isn't what this team needs. We need someone that's interested in actually playing football and is able to pass the ball forwards not sideways or back. I'd imagine if Ferguson is coming in, it would only be until the end of the season so he can join Sevco in September.

If Motherwell have allowed this, they must be confident an agrrement on the fee can be reached.
-
Normally I'd agree but looking at the Sheffield forums this was first reported in the Sunday People and has been followed up by the Star. Maybe not papers we should neccesarily rely on to be right but are English based, so don't care about the Sev and Tic. So there may be more to it than just being a space filler. From The Star Full Story here

Sheffield United are lining up a £200,000 January offer for Motherwell forward Jamie Murphy and may offer young players on loan as part of the deal. (Daily Record) The Blades will only offer £60,000 for Murphy, while Millwall are keen on Fir Park defender Shaun Hutchinson. (Daily Express) For once I want to believe the Record more than the Express.

Think Stuart McCall has just had his say on this thread.
-
Can we afford not to? Wee Yin, I can't argue with that.
-
Before we offer players contracts we need to sort out McCall's situation. Once that's done we can move onto the players. If McCall signs on we may see that some of the players are willing to stay. Law for example seems to enjoy playing under McCall. If he doesn't sign on then we could see a mass exodus as players will want to know that they'll get a game under a new manager. We've already seen one come in and try to do away with the old guard.
-
From the Official SIte Cup Prices confirmed. Thought we'd have seen them coming in at about £15 to try and attract a decent support from both sides.
-
Won't make it tonight due to work but would like to think we'll get something from tonight, even if it's just entertainment. My line up would be Randolph Hateley, Ramsden, Cummings, Hammell Murphy, Lasley, Carswell, Law OJ, Higdon Score wise could be hard to predict bearing in mind some of the last scores at FIr Park. I'll go for 3-2 to who I couldn't say.
-
Someone tell McCall there's still time. From the BBC
-
It's on the Scottish Football Gossip page. Apparently being reported in The People, can't see it online yet.
-
My main problem is the message that McCall is giving out is that we cannot beat either of the gruesome twosome, no matter their state. Makes you then wonder how we are supposed to win any silverware. It's well known that to win a cup they both have to be knocked out or one of them to lose the Cup Final. Which means no matter how well we do to get to this years Scottish Cup Final, we shouldn't turn up at Hampden if the opposition is one of those two, as we have no chance of winning it. After all why should we pay good money to watch us lose before a ball is kicked. The same then goes for Celtic visiting Fir Park, this at a time that Club need more of us to turn up to games help with the loss of Sevco. This at a time that McCall has come out and said he's disappointed with the attendances at Fir Park for a team sitting in 1st place. Honestly though why should we turn up if the Manager and players believe we're beaten before a ball is kicked?

I would rather have Page available for Saturday than on loan. Gives us another option at centre half. However lets hope the game time he gets at Accies stands us in good stead when he gets back.

I can't believe that I think he might be right for once.
