  1. Dom pulled the three tickets out in the one go after the barrel had been spun - after the second number was called out you could see him looking at the third one still in his hand and thinking oh shit!
  2. Thinking like that you should be picking flowers - I know a place that has lovely flowers on the wallpaper you could pick.
  3. [quote name="sbcmfc" post="460112" timestamp=" A consistent good price, for home and away fans. It's £23 for a visiting fan, and there's no free kids with that. Make fir park the away game people mark in their diary, it's such a neglected market by all club, and it should be so simple, these are folk that already go to the football... Not sure if that's right, I've a mate at work who always praises MFC for their pricing policy towards away fans. The last game he attended in October, I'm sure he and his son got in for no more than £30 - he says some clubs charge £23 for each of them and his boys only 7 FFS!
  4. Celtic were poor at FP in October and we could have grabbed a point then but Celtic have improved since then as have we but away from home I don't give us much chance. Still dreaming though - cowy
  5. I suspect that we were expecting the best part of 750 to 1000 Dundee fans but the closure of the FRB knocked that on the head.
  6. [quote name="ONeils40yarder" post="459677" timestamp="1449948776" ....Overall, we looked so much more organised than we have done for almost 2 years, a lot of that must be put down to the slight change in formation with 3 in the middle giving far better protection to our back line. 2nd half was a bit ropey at times and McGhees subs could have been utilized earlier to attempt to take the pressure off, but over the course of the 90, we were a million miles better than Dundee. I think that things went a bit tits up today when Ainsworth came on (although I'm not blaming him more the system) and we started playing with one up front and two out and out wingers. Ainsworth and Johnson just are not the type of players who track back to help in defence, causing our back four to be pulled around. before the second winger came on Grimshaw was helping covering one wing allowing our central defence to help cover for Johnson but as I said once Grimshaw moved more central they started pulling our defence around.
  7. Is the point of the 5 year plan not to get us to the point where we live within our budget? If we had slashed the budget in year 1, I've no doubt we would have been relegated.
  8. Denny's, thanks for the account of you view of the meeting. I hope that others who attended will confirm or challenge your views including the WS if they feel the need - so that a correct and accurate view of both the meeting and the current situation can be arrived at, allowing us all to move forward if not together then at least in the same direction.
  9. Just a quick post but if I understand correctly, the club had 5 years to pay back either £1m or £1.3m to LH and a further approx £300,000 to JB. At the moment they have managed to make the minimum required payments to both and are on course to pay everything back on time as per the agreements without the WS having to pay the loans for the club (although some appear to be saying that the WS has paid the club cash to run things which could be seen as indirectly paying the loan if true) What I don't know - and this may be down to lack of research - is how many members do we have, (paying or having paid a one off payment), how much has been raised and how much is still in the bank. Anyone confirm or correct me?
  10. Unfortunately I can't make tonight but will keenly follow this thread to see what was said. Edit: What time do we expect the second part of the meeting start?
  11. +1, on yesterday's performance the guys not ready for 1st team football yet.
  12. You must be at the wind up, I'm no expert but there has been plenty written about his involvement at Motherwell and of what I've seen there is nothing saying that he is looking to get anything other that his invested money back over a set period of time. If you have read something different then please show me. If you havent see such a statement then please do some research into the man and his motives instead of guessing.

Was a (slightly) tongue in cheek reply to Andy P's conclusion ".....You want a good highlights show of Scottish football? You're certainly not going to find it in the tired pale imitation of what was a much loved and anticipated staple of a Saturday evening until attitudes and budgets change at BBC Scotland, the SPFL and at the risk of being a little over-dramatic dare I say the governance and direction of Scotland as a nation in general"

Biggest problem is that a lot of folk in Scotland are happier paying £10+ a month to Sky to watch English football than pay a premium to watch Scottish football but not to worry cause in the independent utopia that will be Scotland we will All be able to watch the best TV coverage in the world along side every other great thing that's going to happen - truth is Scottish tv channels coverage was shite in the '70's, '80's, '90's, '00's, today and in the fuckin future it will remain the same!
  15. Got to agree that he has had little or no support from the wingers in front of him and his "better" games always coincide with him getting support from in front.
  16. I don't know where Marvin Johnston went for his summer holidays but it must have been some fuckin place because he not came back from it yet! what a change in a player, lost his touch and lost his pace - even if I was seeing him playing a blinder in training, I doubt I'd start him.
  17. I understand what you're saying but he has said everyone gets a clean slate, so until he has seen in a game what we've all been watching this season, then we might have to watch them play the way they have once more before McGhee see's they can't turn their training form into match play. Alternatively if he can turn them into good players playing attractive football and winning matches, then I will happily watch them for the rest of the season.
  18. A few weeks ago Kenny Shields mentioned that Leitch was doing a great job with the academy - maybe why the club wants him there? Edit: although maybe he was only saying that as part of his pitch for the managers job.
  19. who's going to be McGhee's ass, his No2 or whatever you want to call him? Possible choices are: Robinson - in the post at the moment (or has he left? Not quite sure) Leitch- previous experience with him but haven't worked together since Aberdeen - McGhee didn't involve him at Bristol, any reason? Craigen - possibly could be groomed to take over in 18 months? A.N.other
