I agree with the comment regarding Bigirimana but I believe they were hoping he would stay. The consensus of opinion on the players being allowed to leave was that they were happy to be rid of them. They're having a bit of a clear out after a poor season like us - happy to be taking one of their better players but not so sure about us taking one they don't consider good enough.

While not mentioning him specifically, the Coventry fans seem happy to be rid of all the players that are leaving as they not are not being offered a new contract. Not surprising as they've been relegated but they seem to consider them all as dross.

It's one of my pet hates but the lack of ability with a weaker foot does my head in. II can accept players have a stronger foot but the attempts that really top players contort themselves to play the ball when then they could kick with their weaker foot is infuriating

Yeah, I'll go with this. Avoiding relegation with some comfort and a cup run would be good but I'd also like to see us carry a threat. Players like Ojamma and Johnson in recent years have given us a little buzz of excitement when they receive the ball in good positions and I'd like to see an element of this return even if it's a player combination rather than individuals that provide it.

Our midfield simply wasn't good enough last season and we were regularly over- run forcing us to play long balls. While the signings look promising, we need a squad to cover for suspensions and injuries or we're left playing people out of position or relying on Lasley to play 90 minutes or Clay to play at all.

I assume Ross McLean will have recovered from injury. He looked promising last season before his injury and will almost be like a new player for us.

I thought he came across very well but I can see how headlines could be extracted which wouldn't put him in a good light from our perspective. Comments need to be taken in context of the full conversation. He admitted he wanted to leave for Australia in January but accepted that we wanted him to stay and it didn't happen. Was very supportive of McGhee who he obviously had a good relationship with but appeared to have a clash of personalities with Robinson although he was also complimentary and said clashes soon blew over. Very good interview that's worth a listen on BBC's podcast. Certainly helped pass my time cutting the grass!

Very much doubt it - expect it to be a re-cladding job only. There's a lot more involved in removing the pillars which would require replacement of the steel rafters and the columns to the rear. It would be a big job and would probably also require replacement of the foundations to the rear columns. Of course the rust could be addressed so you have clean pillars blocking the view!

He's reported to have been left out the squad for much of the season because he fell out with Foran -that's the reason he wasn't a "first team player". Of course, you can read things into why they fell out but I don't know why they fell out - Foran spoke about bad eggs in the dressing room but they don't appear to have been playing at the end of the season which possibly rules him out.
