Robinson said in his radio interview last night that he's still looking to bring two more players. Didn't say which position and didn't say anything about having to move players on first.

We could easily have been 3 or 4 up within 20 minutes. Apart from Bowman's early miss, Fisher did well to get a head on a few crosses but he had a glaring miss from a close range free header which he put straight at the keeper. We then seemed to lose momentum and were not as threatening in the second half with the crosses generally being played from deep rather than Frear trying to get them over from near the bye line. That changed admittedly with the introduction of Cadden but that was my first game this season and I was alarmed by our lack of creativity.

Young striker called George Newell until the end of the season.

That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If we did want to move him on I'm sure someone closer to home would be interested. Also Crewe wanted a look at him surely they would have played him. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a different Stephen McManus.

I see we've agreed terms with Aberdeen for Moult. I would have preferred him to go down south to be honest. They've made some impressive signings and should have a pretty potent forward line.

Yeah, there didn't appear to be any chance going by his comments in that interview. Hopefully he gets a team down south as he's anotherd I'd prefer not to see lining up against us next season.

He's now quoted on BBC website as saying his Australian move hasn't worked out and he's open to all offers.

I really wanted him to do well with us as he seemed an exciting player with the under 20's. He looked good in flashes such as coming on and setting up Sutton for an equaliser against St. Johnstone a few years ago but didn't manage to develop further. He was given a big chance last season against East Stirling but made such little impact he was subbed - after that showing I'm not surprised he didn't progress last season.

By coincidence I was reading the Tommy Coyne interview in the first Off Air book from the Podcast guys a few nights ago. He mentioned that the squad in his day were all on similar wages which helped generate a real time spirit. Bearing in mind he was the league's top scorer and played in the World Cup he was the very definition of star player. Times may have changed but we still have to stick to a budget and I'm sure having someone on a lot more money but not help squad harmony.

Was there a reason Bigirimana didn't play on Saturday? Is he expected to play tonight?

That article "linking" Cadden with Forest is nothing more than one guy's opinion that he's the type of player that might interest them and they could afford him.

That's just cruel but maybe he's found his level.

Other than Fisher and Rose, the players we've signed so far aren't particularly big.

I dare say even Joe Chalmers could put a clips video together but he looked big, strong, speedy and positionally aware in that video. He even took a quick shy!

Yeah switching to Fir Park would make sense. Unfortunately it means we miss out on a trip to Edinburgh in August.

Depends on which games scouts came to watch. Towards the end of the season he had some games where he played well and was winning every high ball that came into the box. Of course that was against the likes of accies and they maybe made it easy for him.

The core that Accies and Dundee have retained nearly got them relegated. We've got rid of our core of a similar standardand and have to hope that our rreplacements are an improvement.
