  1. Yes he should have blootered it but you can see he was trying to make a pass that would have taken a few of their players and set us up for an attack at a time when we obviously thought we could have nicked it.
  2. He was at Airdrie before and didn't seem to make much of an impression. Hopefully this works out better for him.
  3. Are you kidding? This is football not real life so common sense goes out the window.
  4. He seemed to want to get sent off at Dunfermline but maybe that was down to his normal petulance and nothing to do with less ccommitment as his contract neared its end.
  5. He's not the first and he won't be the last player to be unsettled by a possible move. We've just signed Frear - was there not talk of him being put on the bench because he was unsettled by a team supposedly being in for him i.e.us? What does that say about him?
  6. McDonald was on Radio Scotland on Monday and said they'd had a really good training session and "all the boys were really up for it". He also held his hands up and said he was trying to pass and made a mess of the late chance and that McManus was really down after the game. Probably stating the obvious but plenty on here seemed to think he wouldn't be that bothered.
  7. There's a video on YouTube of Cadogan called something like Keiron Cadogan wing wizard. A bigger display of sand dancing you'd be hard pushed to find. Lots of tricks but didn't seem to beat anybody. Did put over some good crosses though when defenders stood off him. If that's the best compilation they can put together then I can see our support being impressed before quickly turning on him.
  8. Not a good start! Quite a good move for both clubs and I assume that Celtic don't consider Aberdeen (or anyone) as genuine competition.
  9. Ryan Christie has signed on loan for Aberdeen so we can rule that one out too.
  10. They played it on the screens at half time to our bemusement.

Very impressive but I doubt it's still being considered. The bottom line is that anything different from the standard box stands in evidence at the grounds listed above is more expensive. Steel is relatively cheap. The costs jump up when you do anything different from the warehouse style cladding panels which is what actually makes a difference to how it looks. That Ayr stadium would have cost a fortune!

Take the top tier off the south stand and you're not far away from the sort of size which I think suits our needs (you could probably shave a few rows off the back of the main stand and the lower tier of the south as well). However that doesn't lend itself to a large away support. If we were ever to move to a stadium of around 8-9000 we'd need to get used to the idea ofssupporters moving for the old firm again.
  13. There was talk of 800 being sold a week ago so that's disappointing. I know people have their reasons for not going there but I had hoped we'd take more than we had at the play-off.
  14. If the best prospects go to Project Brave teams there will still be plenty of others to go to the other teams. My big problem is that some teams will have a commercial advantage by receiving more funding, potentially receiving more transfer fees and having to spend less to bring players in. Over time this could affect relegation and promotion issues.

Bearing in mind we had an architect on the board for many years, I'd like to think we've carried out the nominal task of obtaining a coal authority report to check if there is likely to be anything needing addressed. Yes, more in-depth studies can be carried out but that's a good start.
  16. Don't start the juniors / amateur discussion again!
  17. Are they still second in the Bundesliga? Not sure it tells us much at all as there is no doubt they would have slaughtered us also.
  18. Doesn't sound overly promising when he hasn't been playing regularly for them.
  19. You may be right but the BBC story quotes Locke as saying no extra money for them at the moment but he hopes Raith have a sell-on clause. So they seem to be letting their promising youngster move in exchange for a few players on loan for the next few months - seems very strange. No hint of them even getting a development fee. Anyway, I digress. The fact it's Rangers didn't affect us selling tickets on a one off basis for the play-off. I know we've got double the allocation but hopefully we can get close to selling it out.
  20. That's nothing compared to Raith Rovers just giving their up and coming defender to Rangers for nothing because Locke is friends with David Weir. We think we've let players leave on the cheap - this place would be in meltdown (rightly so). What is it with this country and people bending over backwards for Rangers? Still? After all they've done?
  21. We normally get a great turn-out for cup games and I wasn't expecting there to be too many left after the sale to season ticket holders so hopefully the interest will pick up and we can sell a lot more.
  22. I posted that it looked as though he was with Kirkintilloch Rob Roy (a Junior team) but it turns out he's now with an amateur team.
  23. Leaving aside any thoughts on the merits of him signing for us, it's disappointing to hear that a former player who was generally held in high regard during his time with us feels that strongly about not considering a return to us.
  24. Going a bit further back, Crawford Baptie and Gerry McCabe were the same.
  25. By a bizarre coincidence Bobby's name came up in the transfer window thread. I looked him up and he's now at Kirkintilloch Rob Roy. I didn't think Juniors would have been eligible for selection as amateurs.
