Not winning goals but Dougie's 2 break aways in injury time to beat Rangers 3-0 in 2nd last league game before '91 final. It took away their goal difference advantage and their faces were tripping them!
Very good news. Both him and Hutchinson have been solid no-nonsense players for us this season - I look forward to more last ditch blocks next season. If anything, they've maybe been too similar and we've lacked a bit of pace through the middle at times. With Hutchinson going (I'm hearing stories of him finalising a deal with Rangers) we hopefully combine a bit more pace with McManus's strength.
I know Thistle offered McManus a deal last season with him being a Jags fan but the impression was he didn't fancy a relegation battle. Looks as though he feels he made the right decision.
Where did that come from - one of the players or backroom staff?
That's absolutely bouncing. Our end looks just about full - anyone know how many we had up? It looks a lot more than we had up for the cup game last season - just think what it could have been if it was 3pm on a saturday.
There's been a lack of clips posted but I guess that's done to people having too much of a good time to stop and film it.
It's been debated many times on this forum but in his recent interview shown at half time on the Alba coverage of the ICT game, Hammell said he would swap it all for a cup medal.
Having just watched the goal, I can't believe Anderson. Play is still raging on and he has turned away from it appealing for the free kick before turning round, seeing it is now a goal and then putting his head in his hands. Comedy gold!
If Hibs were to get relegated (and it's still an if) I wouldn't fancy their chances of coming straight back up. That's just one reason I don't see Hutchinson going there.
I saw Bob McHugh scoring for QoS against Cowdenbeath by basically backing his arse into the Cowdenbeath goalie on the line and doing an overhead kick into the empty net on the Queen of the South website. He doesn't seem to have set the heather on fire down there and I would have thought we'd be looking to offload him now as I think he's well down the pecking order. Is his contract due to run out this summer or does anyone see him having a future with us?
One of my favourite away days ever and a very important 3 points as has been pointed out. I remember watching the highlights and being able to pick myself out in the celebrations in my bright light blue anorak (which I'm sure was de rigeur in those days).
Haven't seen the highlights (and in no particular rush to either) but I wouldn't have blamed him for any of the goals.
To be honest, I've never seen the point in a null vote before as it distorts the percentages but maybe for games like this.
I voted for Gunnar as he had a few good saves when it was only one in it and didn't really do anything wrong. Can't see how anyone else could even come into the reckoning.
