  1. Wonder if he’ll be as successful as Ben Hall was
  2. He comes over really well does Kyrk, it’s so refreshing listening to his outlook and enthusiasm for progressing the club….. it’s just what I need after watching Steve Clarke’s press conference and his IM Jolley demeanour.
  3. League 1 aside Sheffield Wed are one of the biggest clubs in England. Probably twice the size/support of the majority of premiership clubs. It’s a decent move for him.
  4. Sligo was pretty easy to get to and not bank breaking. Getting to the Faroes is a nightmare. I’m holding firm for next round lol 😂
  5. I would really hope we could progress from this game, we really should be better than HB. If we can, a more accessible next round should hopefully await.
  6. Believe it or not a current bun I know well and is usually not prone to maniac statements said to me that raskin was a genuine world class talent…. I laughed in his face…. Quite loudly it has to be said.
  7. I’ll give him the 2 HB games, if I don’t see improvement from last year, I’m calling for his head.
  8. Well that’s not so bad, I’m glad that happened. As I said I’m sure he has spoken well of us in the past but I’d never heard him do it.
  9. I’m sure he must have done at some point but personally I have never heard him say one positive thing about Motherwell. considering I watched a couple of seasons pre-cooper of him aimlessly running around midfield, I think I deserve an apology at least.
  10. Eli was brilliant in that first half, an absolute stand out I thought. 2nd half Egypt were much better and deserved the win but he’s really showing himself up as a class act. I’ve resigned myself to him being picked up but we are talking millions and it wouldn’t surprise me to break Lennon Millers fee.
  11. I’d have thought George Stevenson would be at number 1 for us. Legendary player in the clubs best ever side, league winner and also manager for our cup wins of the 50s
  12. St John was hugely important to Liverpool and its history. Him and Ron Yeats were the 2 who sparked Shankley’s reign of success. St John will be in their top 10 I’d imagine.
  13. Hendry has been one of the biggest disappointments in years. A total dud of a signing. What a wasted wage. we need a number of players in so hopefully the backroom people are on it and Alfred has a couple of picks up his sleeve. I look forward to the first darkened video of a players shadow.
  14. It’ll be interesting seeing how our new manager does with regards the conference game, he mentioned that straight away and you do find foreign coaches are desperate to do well and try themselves out in this arena. both Rangers and Celtic as you mentioned aren’t evolving. They are fixated on beating one another and if any team in the league has the audacity to challenge them in any way, they try and get their players/manager on the cheap and attempt to unsettle them…. Helped by the media. i have no doubt “Del” will breenge his way through the league and win games as will “papa Martin” but I know both will fail miserably in Europe with their Jurassic style approach.
  15. I’m not so sure about that. Craig Brown was always a “Craig Brown man” and There’s no getting over the fact calling someone a Motherwell/st Mirren/Killie man is 1000% different to calling someone a “rangers/celtic man.”and “he gits it” using these phrases is as as subtle as the orange away kit or the tri-colour trackie. We all know what it really means.
  16. Del???? Oh please im delighted we don’t have a support who use the phrases “he jist gits it” “he knows whit the clubs aboot” “he’s a rangers /sellic man” …… that whole low life bigotville we are blighted by. thank god we are not these “people” the guy sounds like he wants to maintain what we have and it’s another refreshing appointment. Goan yersel Alfie
  17. His English is even more impressive than Jens. Flawless.
  18. Frantically googling Alfie’s history. Rosenberg are a big club, let’s hope he’s another Jens and maybe snag a couple of good prospects from over there too.
  19. Just when you think you are over that weird running limp style he had…… I’m now having PTSD about it. to be fair, I don’t mind the big guy, not the worst of players.
  20. A wee but disappointed with that. I remember the HB game well at fir park, can’t believe it was 30yrs ago. i would consider going if there’s a charter but I doubt the club will do that? It’d cost an utter fortune. on a posit though, it’s very winnable
  21. Wales be a great draw, it’s north wales as well so it’s no issue to get to. I’d probably just drive but you could get trains to Liverpool and then on to Caernarfon
  22. I know we are all sort of half joking with price tags etc but these 2 goals of his and his general performance albeit against Iran, are absolutely huge for him and us. he’s tied to us for another year so another performance like that from him and the additional spotlight, we will be talking millions. Considering where we got him from it’s utterly incredible. Clearly I’d love to see him stay but we can’t turn down a £5m bid? Which is a possibility following the WC. I do like how he’s also priced himself out of the old firm budget now so a move to club in a much better league is within reach. I think he’d do really well in a league like Spain or Portugal
  23. I think that’s definitely journo nonsense. If there is a chance for Celtic to make money they’d do it. i think it was more that he had 2yrs to run on a contract and getting £10k a week. The likelihood any bids coming in would be from Scottish teams and he wanted to leave Scotland. Celtic probably weighed up how much it’d cost them to pay him and farm him out on loan and the fact their fans think he’s rubbish anyway that they decided to cut him free.
  24. No one up here can get close to the wages teams in the championship pay, I guarantee he’ll be at least doubling his wages going from Celtic to there. I saw a list of players in that league and I think the average is around £15/20k pw and that’s the average. I’m sure Turnbull was £25k before Cardiff were relegated. crazy to think 30years ago it would be a step down from SPL wages to go to a lower league English side.
  25. I think this has a lot to do with it. A lot has to do with who the more influential players want to go on a two week trip with. Cos it won’t be any more than 2 weeks. i hate feeling like this about Scotland but that last tournament put the tin lid on it for me. Apart from the last Denmark game (which we stunk the house out for about 70mins of) we were awful to watch throughout that campaign. I still want to go in hoping we can do ok but I fear the worst…. Again. as for Fletcher, I’m sure the boy will turn out a good player but he’s had 17mins of first team football…. It’s a fkn scandal
