Absolutely brilliant first half, couldn’t have went better. We could be a couple up. the only player I thought struggled in the first half was Miller and then he does that spin and pass for Spittals sublime finish. just need to stay confident in the second half and concentrate, especially the defence.

Was super confident at the start of the week that we’d get something out of today. That confidence has gone. I think we might struggle.

Pleased SK is staying, I think he was landed with an almost impossible job following the Alexander/Hammell debacle and has done more than I expected. i think he’s built a good backroom team as well and i honestly don’t see the hate he’s had is deserved. Ok there’s been a few poor results and poor individual performances and he’s been a bit loyal to players but it’s Motherwell, let’s face it, It will always be the same. We know as supporters what we’ve signed up for.

What I’d give to watch just one game with those 3 in the modern game and the “first foul is free” rule back in operation. have the 3 of them batter McGregor up in the air would be a joy to see.

Hearts have looked comfortable since their goal. If anyone is scoring again it’s them. On to next week.

Their winning spree can’t last, they have an average team with a poor manager. They do have an inform striker unfortunately so to win we need someone man marking him catenaccio style. id like to see oxborough thrown in, no harm to Kelly I just think he needs a rest and a reset. This I can’t see happening tho.

I thought we had a number of good performances last night, I agree the players mentioned above and I think in Vale we have a good player and a potentially good partnership with Bair for the rest of the season. i think I’d go for Gent tho as he’s improving every week and for a young lad starting out in the game I see a promising future for him. Always willing to take the ball and willing to get to the line and whip in crosses. Quite good defensively as well. Out of all the loan players we’ve had over the past years he’s one who I do think has potential and we are giving him a good platform to progress.

SK’s loyalty to Liam Kelly is killing us. There was imo a lot of positives in some of our play tonight, some decent performances but defensively we are nervous wrecks and unfortunately it stems from the defenders lack of confidence in our keeper. I’ve never called for him to be dropped as I’d hope he’d turn the corner but it’s not happening and it’s time to get someone in there who has a bit of presence about him.

He certainly didn’t get found out tonight.

We’ve been bullied all over the park. We are clearly a better footballing side but in games like this you need to have a bit about yourself and be strong in possession and use the ball better, we’ve been powder puff. Give it 10mins and if there’s no difference a few subs need to appear.

I like SK, I think he’s done a good job since he came but what he sees in Ollie Shaw is beyond me. Bair is doing really well, the lad Vale looks like a potentially great loan deal, we have young Ferrie as back up who I think has looked decent and deserves more time on the park and Obika stealing a wage until he gets fit again. you never know, he might be a new player since I last saw him but I doubt it.im sticking by my view of him as the 2024 version of John hendry.
