    Late Winners

Wee Dougie, midweek at Ibrox early 90s!! We were 1-0 down and came back to win 1-2........place went absolutely mental.....wonderful night!!
  2. Utterly Brilliant result, I loved the attack minded formation but I feared an arse collapsing performance. Does Faddy make the difference? Are the faddy doubters angry? On a positive note, I think Utd are gone....we need to fight on for a top 6 now. Outstanding
  3. i'm alarmed that I actually quite like that formation. very heartened by the attacking formation. Dundee Utd 2 v 'Motherwell 0
  4. I just cant see anything other than defeat tomorrow!! We're just not up for a fight just now and everyone seems to be blaming other parties for the slump.......Mcghee v players, players v fans, fans v players and Mcghee!! Just not a good atmosphere at the club presently!! I do think it'll turn, one good result might even do it, but I doubt it'll be tomorrow!! Cue the meltdown on here!!
  5. Utterly depressing afternoon, simply not good enough. Thank you for "explaining to the supporters" your thoughts Mark, in the post match interview... ya big condescending plank. There's something wrong at our club and I cant pin the blame entirely on Mcghee. Needless to say we are in serious bother and I for one am fed up of spending money I don't have to watch non caring, no fight individuals pick up a good wage. very close to hanging up the scarf for the season.
  6. I've been firmly in the McGhee corner since he arrived but his failure to acknowledge any managerial errors is beginning to annoy me. The press conference today and him bringing up .....once again, of an" individuals lapse of concentration" at the Thistle game is an incredibly arrogant, pass the buck form of management. He's took the easy opt out as wee Ainsworth came straight out and acknowledged his fault, but there were a catalogue of errors in the run up to that goal, poor clearance, no shutting down, Lionel sleeping and josh law not being strong enough to block a tame shot, deflecting it into the net. When things started going tits up for McLeish he started to do the same, highlighting individual error to cover for his managerial shortcomings(when we won he was quick enough to take full credit)..............I really hope this stops from McGhee as its unacceptable. Any further ridiculous team set ups and last minute goals and the knives are out Marky Bhoy.
  7. a simply majestic day......best day watching Motherwell in over 20yrs. If we were fined, it'd be worth every penny!! however it makes it even sweeter we've been spared a financial penalty. and just to re-iterate again.............6-1
  8. not acceptable!! I don't want McGhee deflecting any bullshit in the post match interview. The team was wrong today and yet another last minute goal.....arses need booted!! Left with another relegation dogfight....sh1t season.....AGAIN
  9. Cant argue one bit with all the players binned. Good piece of management, must be freeing up a half decent wedge!! Gomis wont be costing us too much and he's a player I highly rated when at Dundee Utd. Like to see another midfielder and defender before deadline.
  10. another late equalizer..........its getting borin
  11. £1m for Marvin plus a future % sell on clause......where do we sign? i'd love to keep him but a £950k profit for a year of inconsistency, I think that'd be an unbelievable RESULT!!! Well done that man Baraclough!!
  12. Yip, Andy's his dad. Albeit I don't think he seen Ryan much growing up due to him and his ex wife splitting up.
  13. Dow's a cracking player, would take him in a heartbeat. I doubt he'll come to us though as his Dad didn't have many good words to say about us when we showed him the door. I'm pretty sure Ryan Dow was a mascot at one of our games as a kid when his dad played for us as well.
  14. I always liked wee ZFA, thought he was a tidy player. He was young and made mistakes at times and his final 2yrs under McCall he didn't get a run of games to show what he could do, playing 1 game in 5 or getting 20mins here and there is no use. His confidence suffered as well running up and down the wing next to the east stand pele's bellowing shite at him!!! Good luck to the wee guy.

    Mark McGhee

For some insane reason we have certain supporters keen for McGhee to fail, the same support who protested when he became manager due to them wanting untested managers...Valekari etc etc. (which would have likely seen us f*cked) Now he's doing well and has proved doubters wrong (to their dislike) some are so desperate to pull him up over the slightest "non issue" answers, to stupid reporters questions. Give the guy a f**kin break, he's turned the team around and we're getting better. I'm sure we'll have some sh1te weeks (not confident about today) but in general we're good and I doubt we'll have relegation worries this year. Let him spout about being Liverpool manager if he wants, it's a laugh!! if he continues the progression with us.....who cares!!
  16. Do not want Nicky Law anywhere near us again. Completely over rated footballer!! Hides way too often and is an absolute bottle merchant!! (Proven in his pathetic performance in our battering of them in the play off games) You cant play in the lower leagues for 3 years and expect to be the same player, it's like a shirt in your drawer you've not worn for 3 years, when you put it on, it doesn't fit and has seen better days!!
  17. I actually agree with having a bit of sympathy for him, any player needs a run of games to see the best of them. I think McGhee must see something in him as well otherwise he'd have been shunned like Taylor etc. I still have hope for him actually, he seems a decent character as well to have about. He just looks a lost soul on the park at the moment which is a difficult situation for him to recover from.
  18. Robinson is just baffling!! This is a guy who has played at a better level than Motherwell and scored goals.....regularly. Also played in a Jamaica team that was good. I'm unsure as to whether he's had some brain surgery or whether he just cant be arsed.........to give him the benefit of the doubt, i'll plump for brain surgery!!
  19. Love Johnny Gahagan. Great watch, such an edgy wee guy and someone who just genuinely loved Motherwell. Legend
  20. The Dundee game was meant to be on BT Sport, will BT be en-route to Fir Park?
  21. Brilliant..........Lovely to get it round those horrible rodents!! Mcghee deserves a lot of credit, was happy to see him as our manager and his work ethic is starting to show. He's steadied the team and improved players who were starting to go out to graze!! Excellent 3 points!!
  22. Harrow wasn't the worst....but certainly not the best. Dornan wasn't great, a sort of Tom Hately defender without the dead ball ability. I just recall being mostly miserable that season, some really poor stuff under Wallace, the back to back old firm games that cemented McLairs move to Celtic being about the only highlight.........and Shuggie Edvaldsson could barely run at the point we got him. We Tommy didn't half get stung with his brother with the likes of Gardiner, Murray and Reilly....Jesus!!
  23. Bearing in mind that 1983 team was monumentally shite, I don't doubt the crowd was poor!! An over the hill Shuggie Edvaldsson and Aberdeen reject Andy Dornan on show in that pic, Products of the Jock Wallace conveyor belt of mud!!
  24. Give me a game in the rain on a shitty muddy park any day before a game in a gale force wind. Cant remember ever enjoying watching a game in high winds.....total farce!! prefer it to be off tbh.
  25. After our shameful debacle of a performance at the end of last season, at an absolute abomination of a ground, i will not be attending!! Good luck to those who go, i'd accept 1-1 right now!!
