  1. Robust isn’t the same meaning as fitter? I never said fitter.
  2. I can’t stand Hearts but I am delighted for them as I just want someone to challenge and topple Celtic. I don’t think they are particularly great or great on the eye but one thing they are is robust. Every one of their players is solid and they are not a team who look like they’ll keel over. Every one of our players looks like they are one game away from a long term injury but Hearts are a different animal…. Really solid group.
  3. The refs here are scared to book McGregor. The guy should be in the book every week, horrible wee cowardly cheat. im watching this Hearts Celtic game and i find it annoying how we didn’t beat both of these bang average teams. For us to have been given Welsh and Celtic to play a scared looking 22yr old with 1 first team appearance is incredible. Welsh is miles better than what they have on view.
  4. I would accept a draw right now and a clean bill of health for all the players for Saturday. id have slattery on the bench too and give him 30/40mins in the second half in prep for the semi final.
  5. We’re lucky to have eyes though and a modicum of footballing knowledge to realise we are watching 100% better football than any of the statistical seasons above. We could easily go on a run of wins and I still don’t see us finishing in the bottom six. we have the keys to a suped up twin exhaust Honda civic here 🤣 time we all realised it
  6. I thought that earlier too but I’m not sure Rogers rates him much and their delusional fans think he’s hopeless. If he was Irish though or foreign they’d be calling for an immediate recall. Thankfully he’s from Coatbridge so he’s deemed not good enough and doesn’t kiss the badge enough for the world beaters and the worlds best fans. i hope we can get him permanently as he’s a really good fit for us.
  7. That whole occasion brings back bad memories. Its up there with one of my least favourite matches I’ve ever attended. From being hijacked a bit with the Davie Cooper final tag (I loved cooper but I didn’t particularly like the constant love in build up with Rangers… we dont get to finals enough for that to have happened) this ended up with Rangers fans thinking it was fine to snap tickets up on mass….. pardon the pun… for our end. We had dozens of them pi55ed up wandering in draped in union jacks, singing the sash and FTP and wanting to fight with our fans who told them to Fk up and get out. By the time they got ejected we were 3-1 down. it was a rotten day.
  8. One step at a time as we still have to play a Wimbledon circa 1988 side to get there but I agree I’d much prefer Rangers as they are the poorer side …. but Celtic will also not be too confident going into a final after their last shambles against Aberdeen. If either us or st Mirren manage it, both have a really good chance of causing an upset.
  9. I see Max Johnston has deleted all his social media accounts due to ongoing abuse from Derby fans. Always seemed a terrible / strange move from the boy. Ok he’ll be earning a fortune but it stinks of Turnbull/cardiff/bad agent career suicide
  10. Just looking forward to the game again, and hopefully we can put to bed last weeks 2nd half performance. I’ve no doubt they’ll have been working hard all week on the good and bad of the Falkirk game so let’s see where it goes. I am genuinely quite relaxed on the points tally and league position for now but The defeat bugged me quite a bit on Saturday, more so due to Falkirk’s incredibly annoying fan base online and Brian Graham and Scot Arsefield being on a winning team against us ….. but I’m willing to forgive and forget if we beat Livi 🤣 have a feeling it may be a draw though.
  11. It’s really weird watching our games from that time, it’s a period when i know I was there but have few memories of any decent moments. we had a strange mixture of players too. 3 or 4 really good ones but mixed in with a massive amount of hard working dross players.
  12. My first ever Motherwell kit as a youngster. Loved that strip
  13. I’m not sure it is, it seems to be legit? I think? Maybe there’s some folk out there who will know. I like it anyway, looks pretty good.
  14. https://x.com/footballmemorys/status/1980729220390068316?s=46&t=8C9VuM5V_21MGVj9jGzzoA just saw this and I wonder why we’d get rid of such a brilliant club crest. I have to admit, this is the first time I’ve saw this in my life.
  15. As much as it’s nice to see Celtic being beaten, Dundee picking up 3 points today isn’t great. i do think though that it is the closest league I can remember. Every team can beat one another, including Celtic. They are the worst I’ve saw them in 50odd years. To think we could be sitting in a more favourable place at the top end of the table is quite frustrating
  16. It’s definitely a tight league and this year in particular every side, including Celtic are beatable. I think we have one of the more talented squads in the league though and we do play good stuff. I honestly do not see us finishing in the bottom six.
  17. I didn’t mention rangers, I said about airfield, similar to when polworth scored against us. You didn’t mention that. Only any negative rangers comments trigger you.
  18. It’s always about rangers with you 🤦‍♂️take the half and half scarf off FFS
  19. Worst half of the season. Just caved in and stopped playing like we can. Really disappointing as the game was ours. And to put the Tin lid on it, the wee saluting h*n got the winner.
  20. Unbelievable. To be so far ahead and playing really well to capitulating like this is not good.
  21. No idea what said’s goal was chopped off for (he’s been brilliant btw) but the fir park globetrotters should be 4-0 up. we are playing some absolutely fkn brilliant stuff…. What a joy.
  22. I’m sure AP must have a knock as he was excellent against Celtic. Be interested to see how Hendry does but it looks a good team and the strongest bench we’ve had all season
  23. I’m not so sure, I think the majority of Well fans I know and meet are all on the same page and are all happy with how things are going. The ones who aren’t are the few who continually post anonymously on social media and fans forums, who most of the time do it for effect. Best to try and scan over their posts, have a giggle at them and move on. personally I’m really looking forward to the games these days and when we are stuck with an international break and watching Steve Clarke’s sides, coming back to fir park is a breath of fresh air Falkirk are a decent side who play quite good stuff but I think we’ll have a narrow win today. 2-1
  24. I think for the majority of people it’s fine, if I were just going myself or with my kid, great no problem, it’s the modern way of things. We just download and app and accept it is what it is. my issue is with older people and I know many who are completely lost in the modern world and rely heavily on others. Football and going to football is the only enjoyment in their life usually and they are being made feel like sh1t and made feel like they can’t go to games such as this. Part of their life was nipping up to the ticket office and getting a ticket… easy. Now they go up and no fault to the staff there, they are being punted to find someone elsewhere who can help them out. It’s a shame and for us as a community club I think we are alienating a dedicated fan base of oldies who we should be supporting.
