  1. Wrexhams average attendances have been “much” smaller than ours over the past 50yrs only the past 2 seasons have been over ours and they had shot up to 9 and 10k about 5yrs ago their average was 2500. And had hovered around 3k for about 10yrs before that. I’ve been to Wrexham a lot over the past 10yrs and when I first started going it was full of Liverpool and Everton supporters. The amount of kids now engaged in the club and women who are now into football has swollen the crowds. Not that I’m saying it would work with us as I doubt the poison in the water in this area would diminish the draw of the rangers fc and celtic
  2. I think if we are all being honest the vast majority of us look at the Wrexham situation with envious eyes. Wrexham is a similar size town, similar size club similar down on its luck town, mining, steel etc etc they have two owners who I do think have genuinely fell in love with the football and town. If there’s a remote chance of something similar happening to us, you’d be an idiot to say no. but I do think this video is pretty much tongue in cheek and is just trying to attract anyone to invest or more Motherwell fans to join the well society. I very much doubt that Will Smith will be clambering to get a flight to Glasgow any time soon. Our luck we will get Joey Barton wanting to invest.
  3. I’m not sure how to react to that? On one hand I quite like it and think it’s reasonably funny and on the other hand I hate it and think it’s a bit of a riddy. time will tell. If it attracts a wealthy investor or more money to the club my riddy will fade quickly.
  4. It wasn’t that long ago McGuire was arguably our best midfielder before he got a bad injury. In my view he does have all the capabilities of being a decent midfielder. I just think he appears to be a boy with no confidence or belief in himself and unfortunately when that’s the case it’s unlikely he could perform with Spartans never mind Motherwell.
  5. I expect a firm “Naw” here but Andy Halliday? likely to get him for nothing from Hearts. Seems to be always well liked by the support he’s playing for. Sort of dogged nasty midfielder we could use? Always seems to give his all, I think he’s an upgrade on Paton and slattery? he’s only 31 which I find hard to believe but he’s someone as a person I particularly dislike? Might be the rangers connection or that he’s a bellend or both? I’m unsure…. but I think he can play and might suit us? Tin hat on.
  6. We bump up to 8th with this win. A much needed 3 points. Hopefully we can pick up at least a point at Easter road and maybe pick up a couple of players and get shot of a couple in the window.
  7. Game is dying in its arse. Quite dangerous for us to try and kill this. Need another goal. john shaw hendry getting injured and slattery coming in might help
  8. Well I didn’t see that being in his bag of tricks. Outstanding goal
  9. At time we play some decent stuff and look ok but we have such a soft team, especially in defence that we will always lose poor goals. What id give for a sort of Aldridge / Hartley combination from a few years back. Not brilliant players but organised, loud and solid defenders.
  10. Totally deserved. Keep it up and get another and put this to bed.
  11. I don’t care how we play, just win. Cmon the Well
  12. There isn’t one. Hasn’t even been mentioned by the Tv. Shock that prevented a goal scoring opportunity. The fact that it went to var is scandalous
  13. Dessers pulling back Biereth… that’s a fkn penalty
  14. The ghost of John hendry about to come on for us. Game changer
  15. Shocked after than abomination of a half that we are only 2-0 down.
  16. I’ve seen enough of Paton today. He can come off at half time
  17. I’m just hoping they just switch off a little and keep it to something other than a cricket score. We are looking really poor. Nothing about us at all. Biereth stuck up front with zero service, defence are shaky as fk, midfield who can’t keep possession or find a pass. Just blow the whistle now.
  18. It is the interview you really want to hear from an opposing manager of a similarly poor side. Stinks of big butcher when he managed hibs. Long may that continue as that never ends well. id say there are 7 sides all quite poor and every one could finish bottom and all could finish second bottom. We just need a few wins and I don’t think I’m a happy clapper in any way shape or form but I think we could and will get a few wins to take us up the table. We are certainly not worse than any of these other teams and we do seem to show a bit of fight, that should see us ok.
  19. I’d have accepted a draw at half time but we had 4 proper chances to win it. Bair’s chance probably the best of them. Disappointing
  20. As soon as I saw slattery going through you knew he was falling. he was going for it, arguably a better chance than spittals
  21. I’d take a draw here right now. Rotten game, shocking weather. No football getting played.
  22. Livi now 5 points adrift thankfully. I think this gives us some breathing space and there’s only 3 points separating the next 5 teams, so it’s not all lost. the fact we seem to keep fighting to get something out of games is a positive, so there is some pride in there somewhere.
