bobbybingo
Doesn't sound like their fans are too impressed by him, or his jumping ship routine: 'A migratory bird without competence' Damning stuff.
stv
He done us a turn when he was here and if he hadn't left we wouldn't be watching the best football seen at Fir Park for 50 years. Maybe he's just not the settling reliable type and has itchy feet. 2 hours ago, bobbybingo said:

Mibbe, mibbe not, who knows what he'd have done with a full preseason and the chance to sign a few more Lukas Fadingers.

Toxteth O'Grady
Two months searching for a manager, then this? 🤯 https://x.com/AberdeenFC/status/2031681575520231464 Aberdeen FC @AberdeenFC Aberdeen FC has this morning been officially given permission to enter formal talks with St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson regarding the vacant managerial position. The Club will provide an update in due course.
bobbybingo
At least they aren't kicking it into the long grass. Though Robinson will soon fix that.

MJC
I’ve got zero time for Aberdeen but this would be an absolute hammer blow for St.Mirren to lose him just now and I’m all for that.
mio
I know if Jens was to go and we appoint someone like Robinson I’d be annoyed. It’s worse than an underwhelming appointment. now add that to the mix of Aberdeens self worth and view of their own importance and I’d imagine there will be a mass of rage in the north east community. as someone who isn’t too keen on Aberdeen or St Mirren…. It’s an appointment I’m very much enjoying
joewarkfanclub
Strikes me that the Aberdeen board have no idea who they are as a club or even who they want to be. This seems so far removed from the boy from St Ettienne that their "sporting director" was after.....
Spiderpig
Some of the comments on the Aberdeen socials are wild and quite a few directed at Burrows and Pfannenstiel. The whole thing smacks of desperation is reality finally dawning on them that its not the mid 80's anymore, comdey gold 😂

From trying to get a manager who wants to play attacking possession football to the polar opposite. What a shambles of a club.

stv
Hilarious 😂 😃. Semi against a shite Celtic comming up, with the other semi between two smaller teams , what a chance St Midden have of doing a double this year.😲 Then the manager is jumping ship. Why would that buisness not get left to end of season berore any announcement. What a kick in the baws for them. Wonder how Las is taking that one. Money is the only thing that matters in football, why do so many struggle to grasp this? The reality is that Robinson’s stock as a manager has never been higher. He’s won a League Cup and now a bigger club have come courting him who can and will offer him significantly more money. For St.Mirren though it would very much be a boot in the stones but fuck them. I absolutely do not want to see them winning the Scottish Cup and doing a double this season and losing Robinson now significantly lessens their chances of doing that.
