Hopefully we have a decent squad to pick from. Not sure what formation we should play but I’d pick the best (least worst) to start and a formation that suits them best.
Goalie , Kaletta, Gordon Casey Blaney Slattery Andrews Sparrow Nicholson Maswanhise Watt.
I'm assuming Ox Seddon and Stam not available and Vale suspended

sorry! wrong thread meant for Scottish cup thread.

Cant even contemplate this game until the cup game is out of the way. That has to be the priority right now. With the larger than normal away support the manager surely needs to win that one. How many players we have left standing at the end of it will determine whats possible the following week.

St Johnstone 2-0 Motherwell

Also:

Kettlewell to be booked.

SODs to trip over his own arse.

Back five.

Casey to batter Frail.

Zero shots on target.

Halliday in midfield on his own.

35% possession.

150 Well fans to make the journey.

Basically, it’s looking like Simo may Finnish off Kettlewell.

I don't think we are going to be in the play off position. Someone said earlier that we only need another 6 points for safety.

The way things are going, we could easily be in the play off position. There doesn't seem to be much prospect of an improvement in the next couple of games. Next week alone won't determine 12th and 11th spots but it could be season defining for us. If we lose again next Saturday, SK's position with the fans will be irrecoverable. I'm surprised just how quickly many fans have really turned against him , although I shouldn't be, given given recent results and performances.

Today was the first tentative sign I've seen that the players are losing faith.

It is tough but it's the same as last year. When you are on a downwards trajectory you can't catch a break - I'm sure we will pull ourselves out of it. I'm on the wine too

I n deepest dark Lanarkshire can be heard 🎶Little old wine drinker me I asked the man behind the bar for the tv that takes me back to St Johnstone Perth….🤣🍷🍷🍷🎶

The players should not be losing faith in my view. They are paid well to do a job and chucking it isn't good enough - it's making a fool of fans who live in this area some of who earn a tiny percentage of what they are paid. They can back Kettlewell or ship out in my view - and I'm aware of his faults. I have no time for players who are well paid for what they do deciding to throw in the towel. It's not just on him. They've looked like they don't care for the last few games - and that isn't good enough. They don't want to play for him - fine. But they should be playing for the fans who've paid to watch them

I actually don't think loads of fans have turned against him.

Players are only human and whilst they should be professional, it must be hard to give of your best if you're constantly being asked to do things for which you're not suited. I've been in the position of losing faith in a manager and believe me it's very hard, in that situation, to give 100%. In such situations I resorted to vicious compliance. The problem for players is that in such a situation the fans can blame them.

All I hope for right now is that we get players back from injury and we have a decent transfer window and kick on from there. It is gutting and I understand why people are upset

A Football managers job is results driven, you could be the nicest man on the planet, all the players, fans, board etc think you are wonderful but if you don't get the results you will be unemployed.

Yes there are mitigating factors, re injuries etc that hamper his team selection but he has shown no sign of learning from his mistakes,  changing the way we play to suit the players we have available, and basically competing in games.

Yesterday was a shambles from the kick off, no shape to the team, no desire to compete and get forward, no leadership against a team who to be honest are brutal, hardly scoring goals, and who had not won in 9 previous games.

SK has shown he is not able to respond in a game, change the tactics, play players in their best positions, etc, we need a manager who can.

No interest in going to this one. Or any other away game until the manager and the team prove they are worthy of such support.

Might not even bother watching a stream if there is one.

The manager needs this one.

Win, and maybe the players are still with him. Lose, in another gutless performance devoid of evidence of any tactical shape and I may be forced to cross the floor to Wellfan's side of the chamber!

Our group will be represented next week  and I'll be there. However it'll be out of a sense of duty to our club. Not expecting much.

I wasn't. But that doesn't change my opinion. Being booed off the park after a very poor result doesn't necessarily translate to loads of fans turning against him. And I'm not the only person who has said the same on here over the last 24 hours

If you had been there at full time you would have felt and heard  the toxic atmosphere. Whilst I  wouldn't care to apportion a specific percentage you can be assured that loads of fans have turned against SK. That said, I didn't hear much abuse thankfully.

No doubt in my mind we will get beat. We are awful all over the park. We look completely disjointed and haven't a clue how to break down a well drilled organised defence. I'm fed up going away from home and watching the same dross week in week out. I'm fed up spending £35/£40 every away game. I have better things to do with my cash so I finally give in, Ill sit this Saturday out. Frankly if I wasn't a season ticket holder Id sit the next home game out too.,
