They'll just want to try and rush us into making a decision and if we don't agree then they'll hope it will disrupt the player concerned for the rest of the season. With regards Walsh? I feel sorry for him. I accept he is a Celtic player and they have the right to do as they please, but imo he's being screwed over big time. And double that, if it's a team in the same league. With Bowie about to be moving on for 6 million plus add-ons, he has laid down a marker on valuations. Same age as JT. Watt’s injury probably helped quell speculation about hm. With respect to Welsh, Celtic are really doing the dirty on him and messing us around as well. Again, reading what Celtic are saying, they apparently have no plans to play him and so will be paying him 10k a week for nothing. I just don’t get the point in what they are doing. texanwellfan Posted January 30 Report Share Posted January 30 I’m more hoping for incoming news but obviously it makes sense to part with players who don’t appear to be part of our future plans and either save that money or put it to good use attracting or keeping people that we need. I’m sure quite a few people will know better than me but I get the impression that we are getting to a stage where our player base has a much lower number of players surplus to requirements amd that the ones we have all have something positive to contribute to squad strength. It seems like for several years we were Lucky if we had 11 decent players to Start games and any subs or injury fill ins were always significantly a weaker option. I’d say we have a squad with some better individual players but also that JBA’s approach has made it more conducive for players to perform better on the park. A much leaner meaner squad is the way we should be operating. Be interesting to see if Robinson gets mutalled as well, or uf he will get a second chance to impress.
