SODs sells so many goals, I’m hoping MW tells him he isn’t going to be a first team starter next year, which may convince him to move on.

The whole defence sells goals and has done for at least the past 3 seasons. That's why it needs to be ripped up and rebuilt from scratch.

Just home from the game and for the first time in a long time i am absolutely disgusted by some of the fans today. The treatment, constant booing and down right shocking shouts about some of our players is shocking. You lot need to take a look at yourselves.

SOD got it all game from start to finish especially from the back row behind the goals. Shocking. He wasn't the only player having a stinker in the first half.

Since we've gone through a fair portion of this season without a full compliment of fit central defenders, SOD has been asked, by two different managers, to fulfill a role that he's not suited to. To me, he deserves to be cut a bit of slack for that. He's come out and done what he was asked to do. I don't think he'd be anyone's first choice central defender, but two managers have decided that he was the best option available to them.

Thought we were very poor first half. Very disjointed and couldnt seem to string more than 2 passes together.

Much better second half after the changes. Just wish Wimmer was able to get the team selection rigjt feom the start. He could save us a lot of angst!

Andrews was very good in possession and helped Halliday and Miller no end. Shame he is gonna be outwith our price range next season.

Moses had a great 45 minutes causing absolute mayhem as only he can!

We should really have won the game with the chances we created, but cant be too sniffy about a draw after the first half.

Time for a rest and re-charge the batteries. Really looking forward to seeing what Herr Wimmer does with the squad. Plenty positive signs. If he can get the right signings in next season could be quite exciting!

I feel a bit sorry for Moses to be fair. He was supposed to go out on loan to Thistle and that didn't happen. He apparently wanted away because he wasn't getting the minutes but I'll be very surprised if he's here next season

I was chatting to my brother earlier and he said the only player out of the ones that are out of contract that he would like to retain is Seddon - but apparently we have an option on him?

Also didn't realise we got another goal chalked off (Slattery) for being offside

Moses has been great coming off the bench the last 2 games. Im not suggesting that he should he our starting striker. But he does appear to be a good iption off the bench if he was happy to fulfil that role and isnt costing us too much.

That said, we still have Robinson and Stuparevic on the books, so maybe not realisitic to keep him, evein if he was amenable.

Will need to see the disallowed goal again. Couldnt see too much wrong with it, bit there was a lot going on in the box so hard to tell......

Would defo keep Seddon. He is one of the better defenders we have at the club.

Apparently 2 goals chalked off. I only saw one as I had to step away now and again. Definitely Moses was offside when Sparrow’s shot hit the post

I like Moses and I also have bit of a soft spot for Blaney. I hope Blaney recovers from his injury and does well if he doesn't play for us again

Was there? Who else got a goal chalked off apart from Slattery

To be fair - I've only been to two away games this season and they were both fine. In fact the support that Motherwell fans gave the team at tynecastle was incredible - like seriously you couldn't fault it from beginning to end. But I have spoken to fans who have said at some away games it's not been as good and that some players have had a lot of stick - SOD in particular.

Let's face facts about SOD. He's a liability in centre defence role. That's another game yesterday that he gave ball straight to an opponent which led to a goal. He has been doing this since returning from injury mid season, leading to numerous lost goals and consequently lost or drawn games. The guy is well past his sell by date at SPL leval. Not picking on him just looking at the facts and performances in front of me.

When we signed him the press stated an option for a 2nd year.

There's a boy sits down from me in the Hunter who gives O'Donnell pelters every game and last Wednesday was no different. You'd think O'Donnell had pumped his Mrs the abuse he dishes out. We should never be subjecting our own players to that kind of treatment regardless of their performance.

Of course he is. He's never a central defender in a million years and only got wedged in there because we had zero other options.

Casey on the other hand is supposed to be an actual central defender and has been responsible for shipping goals along with Blaney and even Gordon since he arrived.

That's why we need a rebuild of the entire central defence.

I promise now that I'm not going to mention a complete defensive rebuild again until the League Cup group stages.

SODs is murder at right back too. Terrible in any position.

Agree re SOD. He had a nightmare first half although like the rest he improved second half. But no way can he be a first choice next season.

Casey does have his faults but he is streets ahead of Blaney and  Balmer and is no worse than Gordon who appears to get an easy ride from the fans. Folk appear to have forgotten how poor Gordon was before his head injury. Sluggish, poor distribution and decision making questionable. Rash at times.

We need to come up with a central pairing that actually gel as a pair in a back four and lately Casey has been nowhere near as poor as he was for a spell earlier in the season. On recent evidence we have seen that Katroumbis and Seddon can do a decent job at full back and I still have hopes that Wilson has something to contribute. So that should help the central defence issue. Just unearth the correct pairing and play a defensive midfielder that actually provides some protection.

Casey was one of our best players against Kilmarnock, even playing alongside SOD. With the correct partner I believe he has something to offer. Might not matter though if the Hearts rumour from January is accurate.
