The man is a torn faced idiot sorry. I liked him when he was our manager but he can't even cope with the fact we held them to a draw.

Saw his man up at Stenny in the main stand with his notebook and pen furiously scribbling down his masterplan.

weeyin
Dougie Donnelly might be getting on a bit, but he showed again tonight how much better a professional broadcaster is compared to ex-footballers just playing at it.

Benson
Must have been some trivial injury lennon had, full week of training and can't even get on the bench,if he's still a well player next week and we don't use our best player questions need to be asked. I can only assume he spent the match kicking and heading lumps out of the seat in front of him.

I think it's pretty clear he's going to be going soon and that's why he's not being played.
mio
On another player not being played, what’s the script with Halliday? Not that I am crying myself to sleep about it but does JBA not fancy him much? Weird considering his ever presence last year. maybe he’s going to concentrate more on his media stuff as I see he was also commenting at greyskull for their European tie. That and his podcast etc etc must take up a lot of time. i suppose we have better players in his position now which is fair enough but he’s not been brought on the past couple of games. I'm not sure where you play him the current formation and more importantly who you drop? The midfield is as functional as I remember it in a long while. mfc
As things stand it would be madness to play lennon, the risk is just to high.you can be sure that bitter fud robinson would have targeted him yesterday had he played.we find ourselves with a really good midfield 3 and almost certainly a record fee coming in for lennon,I would have took that before a ball was kicked this season. Its just a natural winding down of his career at Fir Park I suspect.

This record fee incoming is certainly becoming a long drawn out affair.were told he could feature against rangers, then after a weeks training he was fit and ready for squad against st mirren,if no transfer before st johnstone if he's fit and deemed better than what we have he must surely play,he's paid by motherwell to play football. weeyin
Miller was never going to be featured in any of our competitive games and if anyone thinks he's not playing due to an injury, I have a nice bridge in Brooklyn looking for a buyer. He's out of team because a deal (or deals) is/are being negotiated and it suits all parties to keep him wrapped in cotton wool. I'd be amazed to see him in claret and amber again, unless it's a testimonial match (or if he signs for Roma).

Miller won't play for us again,we need it done and both parties can move on.were in serious need of some players and if we're waiting for the money from miller to make it happen then we can only hope theres movement early this week. weeyin
I'm not sure we are waiting on the Miller money. We released/punted plenty of players whose wages should be available now. Mair, Balcombe, Seddon, Casey, Blaney, Kaleta, Thompson, Davor, Paton, Callachan, Andrews, Ebiye, Watt, Plange, Dickson, Armstrong, Vale and Tavares have all gone (and maybe some I have missed). So by my calculation we have punted 18 and brought in 6 (plus Sule on loan). That should leave us a few pennies for new players.

Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou revealed it was a late call not to risk playing Lennon Miller in his side’s goalless William Hill Premiership draw away to St Mirren. The teenager is yet to play a competitive match this season amid ongoing speculation over his future, with a number of clubs at home and abroad credited with an interest in signing him. Askou had said in his pre-match press conference on Thursday that Miller would likely feature in Paisley after overcoming a minor injury, but the 18-year-old was again omitted from the matchday squad. The manager explained: “Yes, it was a final call with everything taken into consideration. “It’s not a secret that there are things going on in the background. We know he’s been out for four weeks. “How much risk are you willing to take on a player like him in that situation? The decision was that we kept him out of it.” That's club speak for "we're not playing him, because he's about to be sold"

I live in hope that a portion of the Miller money will enable us to raise the quality of player we are able to recruit The departure of those players you listed may cover a large portion of the higher wages. Those wages you mention are a monthly/annual saving, not an up front bonus enabling us to make meaningful bids for players currently under contract elsewhere. For years we have replaced like for like (at best),mostly by way of loans or free transfers. For that reason the quality on view has reduced season on season. We should soon be in the position to improve the quality on show and I suspect JBA has a few decent players in mind who will suit the style he has introduced. Add five quality starters and I think we will be amazed at how good a team we can put out. The small fees he has been allowed to pay out so far suggest he can unearth some quality players. I'm not suggesting huge amounts but we should be able to compete in a higher market than of late. For the benefit of the team and us fans. So I think we are waiting on the Miller sale being concluded before making serious moves..
