Orinoco
Kettlewell in full blown denial. He did not feel dominated. 65% possession for us in first half and near enough 60% full match. His goalie with a wordly save off slattery to stop 3rd and a couple of decent stops in 2nd. Whereass Ward with exception of their goal had nothing to do. As i said im sure his media mates will excuse him.

Kmcalpin
A very good result on the road although we did strike it very lucky given Killie's long injury list. Of late we've not picked up much at Rugby Park so this very satisfying. Going by the BBC stats (?) we do seem to have riled the ref with a few yellow cards. Good to see TJ notch a brace. Also going long on occasion instead of rigidly sticking to short balls to feet.
FirParkCornerExile
Apart from a 15 wobble after they scored we deserved that. We mixed up the play a wee bit to to break up Killies attempt at the high press in the second half. Defensively we were solid . The penalty came at the right time and settled us down. Don't know whats happened to Longello but he's a shadow of the player he's been.

Thats just not going to happen. By comparison to our perma angry, vitriolic and vile hordes, Killie fans are decent, patient, civilised and courteous. They would never stoop so low as to criticise him. Aye right!

It’s a strange one, the guys good at going forward - getting an assist today - but defensively he’s suspect as was shown at the start of the second half where I thought Killie targeted down that side and were having a bit of success, hence the reason for subbing him. Even going forward I think he's faded a bit , he rarely goes by his man these days.

joewarkfanclub
Thought we controlled the game in the first half and had majority possession, albeit Kilmarnock still created some decent chances. Thankfully we were able to defend them properly for a change, and took our chances when they came along. Second half, Killie pressed us really hard and we lost control of the ball. The game became far more end to end and it was really disaapointing to lose the goal from a really encouraging position for us. The goal gave Killie a lot of encouragement and we were a bit fortunate to survive with one off the line and one off the bar. The penalty settled things a little and although we werent fully comfortable I think overall we deserved to win the game. Good 3 points. We have played much better and lost/drawn this season. I kind of get what youre saying, but he set up the first goal and was instrumental in the second. I also think its going to be hard to live up to the way he played in his first few games, as teams are more aware of him. It's on him to figure that out and adjust. I guess he was subbed for fitness reasons, as he wasn't playong bad enough that replacing him with a right back on a yellow card is the best option. Fadinger is such a solid player, he put in a great shift today, especially defensively.

Kmcalpin
Much has ben made about Killie's injury list and how it impacted on their game yesterday. By my count, they had 5 players out with one returning to the bench. On the other hand, we had 8 players out. Ok, not all of ours would have been starters but... A common theme emerging about Kettlewell's training methods? Incidentally, I noticed a picture of Ap Stam taking the penalty. Just behind him there's a clear image of Said's jersey being pulled, presumably to prevent him from running in to follow up had the ball not gone in. In that scenario would a retake have been ordered via VAR or otherwise?
