texanwellfan
Would like to see the Fadinger PK claim from VAR angles. At the time I thought it was a PK but haven’t seen it back to tell if it was or not. Purely just for my own interest, it’s done and over now so just want to see if ref/VAR made right call. Orinoco
It was Ibrox, no danger we get a penalty when it matters. The authorities will do anything to drag The Rangers back into a title race. They need the prize money to stop them going bust. Just like how often they get home cup games. There is only so many share issue investments they can do. Financial fair play does not apply in scotland. Also note they are in deflecting overdrive mode with their disallowed goal should have stood. No statements issued about the officials when they win, especially when it goes for them.
wellfan
Clear penalty for Fadinger ignored by the ref and VAR. That is cheating, plain and simple.
Orinoco
Yip clip on other website shows clear contact and foul. Pathetic, but as i said no suprise. Easy to apologise to the smaller clubs than run the rath of the bigot fans. To think people thought with VAR introduction this cheating would stop. wellsince75
Had it been the other way I suspect a much longer VAR review would have happened . i don’t blame the ref tbh , he had a good view and can see why he may not give it. But you’d expect a longer review from VAR which is poor , yet typical against OF
Orinoco
I do blame the referee. He was up with play with good view of incident. He bottled it. He could have given it and asked to confirm it or overturn it, ie give him the chance to review it again on tv. By ignoring it he passes the buck. As someone else said The Rangers players reactions said it all. They thought it was a penalty. The referee surely sees this big clue. Kmcalpin
Fadinger penalty claim was 100% stonewaller. Why no VAR review? A serious question for the SFA.
0Neils40yarder
100% there was contact...the only thing the photograph doesn't determine is who kicked who
Richie
A soft penalty is still a penalty, same as a soft free kick is still a free kick. Wasn’t much in the game at all. They took their chance
mio
The clips I’ve now seen confirm to me it’s a clear penalty. I cannot believe VAR never looked at it. just need to brush ourselves down and use it as motivation on Tuesday
wunderwell
3 hours ago, wellsince75 said: Just adding my own perspective on longelo as think he’s a decent player . Personal view is the left hand side of the pitch is an area we lack balance , therefore quite a bit of expectation for longelo to cover a lot of ground . Particularly today where rangers are pretty strong on their right hand side . for contrast on the right we have JK but he’s supported by Said , Just and Sparrow who have a tendency to be on the right . The times longelo has been at his best he has RCC on the left to support him . Appreciate we all see the game differently - just wanted to chuck my 2 cents in . Overall key that we find a different striker if we want to kick on and get top 4 Really good post. Longelo like Stevie hammell of old had to make up for the ineffectual Said today (in terms or tracking and physicality) covering masses of space. Said and even more so Osong don't fit into JBA's style of play. Charles Cook is a far more physcial player and would have helped Longelo more today. Sparrow massively helped Koutroumbis on the other side.
