Another hard game coming up for us on Saturday, but I'm hopeful that we'll take something from it. We'll miss Fadinger but Welsh will be back. A bit of squad rotation last night will also help. Given the other fixtures, its a chance to put a little more daylight between us and Hibs & Falkirk. A point would do us nicely.  Maybe the team will be fired up, by a desire to thank the travelling fans, after last night's defeat. Still, I'm not one to listen too much to pre match talk - just go out and do the business where it matters.  We were well overdue a stinker and hopefully that was it last night.

Oh to give this team st Midden a proper skelping!! Their fans seemed to all wake up after our defeat last night again…. Horrible little club and fans.

i just hope after that sh1tshow last night there will be a collective drive about everyone, fans as well, to get back on winning ways.

Back to league business and perfect response would be to get a massive 3pts and have a right go at finishing as high up league as we can, no squad rotation, put the big guns out as we are now a game a week as Dundee away now sat 7th March.

if he's not suspended not opposed to him going in over Slattery/Just depending on who Jens wants to rest.

Priestman and Gordon will be available for Saturday, suspensions only apply to the Scottish cup. That said Gordon wont play as Welsh will be back, so other than that JBA has a full squad to select from

Gordon shouldn’t even be on the bench, let alone in the starting eleven again. He can’t play our style of football and is a complete liability, as last night showed.

This I'd have Mcghee and SOD ahead of him in the pecking order but considering it's 1 game a week for us until the last week of the split now we shouldn't really need to rotate from the starting pairing of Welsh-Mcginn barring playing Celtic/injury

Squad rotation is an integral part of the modern game, injuries and suspension apart some of the fringe players need reasonably regular game time to keep them fresh , its good player management.

So i think JBA is doing just that he should know which players are the best fit for the team depending on the opposition and/ or game situation, it seems to be going well so far this season.

I would think that Jordan McGhee is in line for more game time given that he's already made a few appearances from the bench. Probably not capable of lasting 90 minutes but could do a turn for 45 or 60 maybe?

Very interested to see what he has got in the locker once he is up to speed.

I really have no recollection of him at Dundee or Hearts so Ive no idea if he will fit into this team or not.

As a Kettlewell signing, you would presume that if he cant he wont be afforded the same amount of time as others.

Hopefully he does though and offers another option, particularly if he can play multiple positions.

After a very disappointing cup exit, important to hit the ground running with a victory going in to our last 12 league games. Dont want any negative momentum gathering.....

Primarily a centre back or right back, but can play defensive midfield (he was signed to play there under SK). Dundee fans liked him as he was always committed (but not in the Shinnie way). A friend said he'd run into a brick wall for the team. Can also score the odd goal.

I’m hoping McGhee could feel like a new signing in the run in to the season but I never recall watching him before thinking he was good on the ball? Time will tell but as he’s quite versatile with positions I imagine he will probably be quite tuned in to formations etc

i think it’ll take quite a bit of time for the big striker to find his feet, im thinking we’ll need to be patient with him. He looks very raw so far. I was hoping for a Biereth style start but  that’s not happening I’m afraid.

Wednesday is past and all focus on league .  Just to remind everyone that since we lost to Falkirk on Oct 18th this is our league record

P 18.   W 11.  D6.  L 1.    F. 25 A 5

we will have full team available apart from Fadinger.  I wonder if Nicholson might start instead of Said.

Not ideal opposition as we know they will just disrupt and foul us but a win would be massive and get rid of the disappointment from Wednesday.
