First half of that sentence is doing a lot of heavy lifting there, particularly given McGinn is out for a while and one is Jordan McGhee..

True, but we have 3 fit left backs, and JK and SOD that can cover there when needed, so you have to think at least one will end up being surplus to requirements.

I'm not complaining, as we have struggled to fill that position in recent years.

Wilson or Longelo are the two who could move on i would have thought.

We need more experience in midfield and a proper number 9.

A creative wide pacey player would also be handy.

I'd argue we could do with a bit more experience in the team in general. Midfield, hard to see anyone displacing Fadinger or Priestman right now, so any experienced guy coming in to start would be a more attacking option, I'd assume...

Oh, I get it. We probably have more options at left back than we do centre half and we need two of them and one left back every week. If we could free up a wage by moving on a left back (Wilson would be the obvious one) and it could go to more options in midfield (where I'm currently praying every time Fadinger or Priestman go into a challenge) that would be helpful...

If we are bringing in more players we really need one of them to be a striker as  the current options we have are brutal, AP, and  Hendry, specifically.

From the way the manager is talking there will be several players to come.    Suspect that's mainly Midfield and Attack given the amount of defenders we now have.

I do think we already have a decent amount of attack minded players - Sparrow, Said, RCC, Lowry, JT are all good enough

I'd like to see us go for someone like Luka Jovanović - 21 years old, mobile and scored +50 goals for Adelaide.  Sounds like the right target market and would be interesting to see if he can make the step up.

I don’t think we need another striker from the A-League.

Nah. You beat them with movement and passes. Don't want to get dragged down to their level – just give Said the ball and leave him to it.

I think that’s what we should do at kick off. Give it to Said and let him dribble it for goal.

We may already have one in the shape of Jake Girdwood-Reich.
