mio Posted yesterday at 09:09 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:09 AM Does it get any better sauntering into an office with a number of Rangers fans who said to me last week “not worried about Sunday…. We can blow anyone away at home the way we are playing” if only I were able to smoke cigars in the office…. The smugness is oozing from every one of my pores

Thats highly unusual. The standard announcement is "a minimum of X minutes" but very, very rarely does that get extended, despite late hold ups. I can't recall the last time that happened. To be fair, Hendry took a head knock during added time and was down for quite a while.

No doubt the referee will be getting a please explain email on monday morning to explain what went wrong. Conspiracy theorist 😂. Now that I have calmed down a bit, I thought Ward's "bowling" yesterday was excellent and provided some variety in how we usually play out from the back, our third goal being a good example. And that save from Chermissi was brilliant. BTW, isn't Raskin a really annoying wee dweeb? Lovely day today, inntit?

Spit_It_Out Posted yesterday at 11:56 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 11:56 AM That 2nd goal we scored was probably my goal of the season everything about it was so clinical from back to front if that wasnt total football i dont know what is. What a season so many highs.

Just a great goal all round. 1

But I find myself thinking warming to him and also that his beard probably smells amazing. He most probably uses top of the range grooming products on it. Fair play to him and Hearts. 👍 Still buzzing today. Felt confident going into the weekend and feel even better now. Hearts will also be experiencing the Motherwell magic very soon. Happy days. yosemite sam Posted yesterday at 02:14 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 02:14 PM I'm trying to think of any game outwith the ugly sisters that has gone to 10 mins extra time. (when only 7 mins were indicated). I'm sure someone on here can enlighten me.

I'm a little miffed at some comments that I've read saying that Longelo's winner took a wild deflection and that Butland would have saved it otherwise 100 times out of 100. Yes, it took a deflection but a wild one - no. COYW. Agree it took a deflection however since Butland didn’t save the first shot/goal which was straight at him who could say he would have saved the third? It’s all ifs and butlands anyway CoYW Bring on the Bairns

Ref got it spot on.
twistandshout1983
Aberdeen fan I work with also saying he was celebrating our winner , his wife asked him why and he said well it is Rangers Also mentioned it is definitely disappointing dropping so many earlier in the season or we could still be in with a shout of a trophy But who cares , great 3 points and don't think we have ever won at Ibrox 3 seasons in a row in 140 years of history so well done everyone

All part of the learning process that allowed us to stay positive and score a 90th minute winner. If we can build on that, there could be a great season in store next time too.

joewarkfanclub
Was away in Mull all weekend so didnt see any of the game bar the limited SPFL highlights on Youtube. Felt sure we had blown it again when we surrendered another 2 goal lead so was ecstatic to get notification of an injury time winner! Great to put an end to the losing streak and to do it there is particularly pleasing! Hoping Welsh's injury isnt too serious. He didnt appear to be in too much pain during the post goal / post match celebrations!

I had the radio commentary on, from half time I was outside, folding towels, washed the dishes, brushed the cats, tried to solve world hunger and anything else to distract me from the obvious comeback, came back in to do a rubik's cube and heard "Ward to O'Donnell.... Longeloooooooooooo!" I thought our bubble had burst and we'd shit the bed as we seem to have done so often in the past. What a season this has been, let's hope it gets better. 1

It was quite surrreal to be the only Motherwell fan in a bar with a fair few Celtic & Rangers fans and the odd Jambo and be the only one trying not to know the score, but failing miserably as one side or the other would give the game away as their phones vibrated to reveal the latest score update! Thankfully it went the right way and my evening ended up being a very pleasurable one!

texanwellfan
I’m still amazed we never got screwed by the officiating team. Definitely helps when you don’t get the dodgy calls against you.
Richie
The mental aspect of it is also great. To go there, be pegged back, survive the onslaught and the crowd, then go up the park and win the game will bring a resilience. We have utterly dominated and wiped the floor with both the OF for complete halves. Ideally you'd do it for the 90, but they are always going to have a period of control in games. Its more of the incremental mindset change.
