Is there a Paul Lambert in our midst who could impress tonight and make the move to the Bundesliga.

Think to get through the tie we need to take a 2 goal.lead over there, unlikely as it may be.

Frustrating given injuries etc and would have been interesting to see how Jens' Team would have coped.

Will be very tough, as I assume they will be big, athletic and technically very good.

Who know's though. Early doors in the competition and there's always the odd shock.

As long as we do ourselves justice and give the fans a few things to be proud of.

Going back to the presser, on his initial introduction there was a question whether Alfie was too much of a 'nice guy'.

Think that's been put to bed now. Pleasant, but robust when required.

Yep definitely,  I am really liking AJ. He had such a hard act to follow but is very much implementing his own style and the new signings are fitting in well and getting the love for the club which is a thing we hsve always been good at.

Would be amazing if we could win tonight

I wonder where their fans will be staying

Hope it’s not the Bentley hotel….. I wouldn’t even wish that on Celtic fans

Was that the same crap bus that took supporters to Katowice back in 91, two days travelling and they missed the 1st half of the match.🤣

Do we know if Palmer-Houlden got international clearance in time to play tonight? I don't really want to see Vogt or Maswanhise in that lone striker role

If cleared and fit it might be worth a punt starting him with Said and Maswanhise wide.  The germans wont know anything about him.

Nae pressure Seb 🤣🤣

They're is a couple of key decisions for AJ tonight. Who does he play at RB, who partners Fadinger in midfield and who starts in the attacking areas. Ideally my team for tonight would be:

Paulsen

Girdwood-Reich Knight-Lebel Moormann Longelo

Fadinger Whyte

Maswanhise Lowry Said

Palmer-Houlden

Whyte mainly in because of his physicality but Hodge could well start.

No idea what we are going to get tonight, could be a thrashing or maybe even a wonderful night but all you can ask is the players give their best and there are no regrets about the performance.

I thought HJK would have been favourites against us but beatable.  In the end I think we showed we were actually a level up from them.

Obviously this is a much better team but again we have a huge opportunity to show how good we can be.  Freiburg are a barometer and we have the chance to really measure up to elite level football.

I'd start Hodge and swap to Whyte when he inevitably runs out of gas. Other than, I agree with that starting 11.
