The manager must see something in Vogt, as he keeps playing him. With his back ground in developing young players I would go with him on this. Willy may just need some confidence fitness and game time to show what he's got. Remember what everyone said about Bair being useless at the start with us . I will go with what the manager thinks rather than a forum for now.

Yep i agree.  Bair is a prime example of someone that was written off and look what happened.   I think Willy is a confidence player and we are probably playing a different style he is used to.  Small signs of improvement on Tuesday with 2 cracking crosses.

I wont be there tomorrow but hope the fans get right behind the lads. Even at 0-0 on Tuesday it seemed a bit flat.    COYW

Watt made absolutely no progress at St Johnstone either (or at Salford or Burtion A.to be honest) yet look at him now (badly missed at the moment but I think Oscar can fill the void  on his return to fitness).

I was relieved there were no boos for Vogt when he came on because his confidence looks fragile but his two crosses were excellent. We need players like Thor and P-H to be getting on the end of them.

Not sure Bair was written off by many of us? St Johnstone fans thought he was shite, but he scored in his first game against Dundee and the Feed the Bair stuff never really went away.

Willy has looked like a wee boy lost at times, but there are flickers of ability in most of his appearances. If he can build on Tuesdays performance and we can get someone on the end of those crosses and get some joy, it will definitely help to build his confidence.

Baby steps....

Written off at St Johnstone, I meant. Let's hope the coach can improve him.

Not quite sure I get all the anti Vogt rhetoric on social media. The lad clearly has talent with pace to burn and was identified by JBA; in effect his signing. Yes, he's finding it difficult to make the step up but he needs time and coaching.

I’ve been pretty confident going into every game this season, even after the Stenny debacle, but I have to admit I’ve got the fear today.

Alfred’s pre-match presser also felt like the most downbeat of his Motherwell career, which hasn’t  helped lift me after the Aberdeen embarrassment.

Today is huge. The performance probably matters more than the result, but we really can’t be going into the long international break on a downer.

                    Levitt Fadinger

Sparrow           Lowry         Longelo

                  Palmer Houlden

Very similar to how I'd like to see us set up.  I had JKR in RB rather than SOD but only because the manager hasn''t given SOD game time - which is bit of a red flag.

We need some experience in the team but the manager seems very single focussed on younger players.

In the Rangers game we were roasted down our right side, against Aberdeen Sparrow should have been subbed at half time. Both games cried out for having experience which SOD would have offered.

Not saying SOD is the messiah (or a very naughty boy !)  but for all the right reasons last season he was ahead of Sparrow in the pecking order.

I'm hoping for several changes today but Im not convinced we'll see them.
