That was a shambles of a performance and a big part of that was caused by the manager. Questions are quite rightly being asked.5 points

I’d keep SK. I’m fed up sacking managers we need some continuity. Him and the players need to turn it around and I think we will get there.4 points

Here's a thought .... could the Moderators set up a separate thread called "I wan't to b*tch about the Club, coz I could run it so much better", transfer all the comments from this thread to it and leave this thread to be for rumours (and the occasional fact) as to who we are about to sign?3 points

Surprised so many votes for Bevis - for central defender his positioning is often left wanting . that said not easy to pick a winner .2 points

We all need to keep the faith all this talk of sacking managers is nonsense we are unbeaten in our last 2 games, and another 2 or 3 wins and we will be challenging for a Euro spot, 15 games played still 23 to go so no need for any pant wetting just yet.2 points

Jesus Christ probably one of the worst managers we've ever had. Had more money that any Motherwell manager in history and we were shite under him.2 points

Every single manager should get at least the first two rounds of matches and that's not taking into consideration any bonus points for past endevours. Our fans need to take a cold, hard look at the reality of fan ownership. What is it you expect the club to achieve? Top 6 every season? Brilliant players, amazing football? Also there is a lot of frankly deluded moaning. Fans were moaning when Alexander got us into Europe. That's where a lot of our fan base is these days. They don't seem to enjoy supporting a town club and everything that goes along with it. And there is plenty of decisions Kettlewell has made that I don't get or flat out disagree with but so what? We are not detached in terms of points, performances, quality of squad. There are things that can be improved but for me we've mostly been competitive. If we are hitting re-start after 14-15 matches every season we are going to have a foundation and no roof on a permanent basis. And the usually suspects complaining that the rain is coming in.2 points

I was hung over, there was drip right above my seat, our winless run continued and there was some fractious moments between the crowd, the manager and some of our senior players but you know what? I actually enjoyed the match today. Open, played at a decent pace, plenty of incident and goals. OK, the overall performance wasn't great, I actually thought Dundee deserved the win, but that doesn't look like a team that's given up to me.2 points

The goals we are conceding are laughable. Lyle Cameron is 5'2", not fucking invisible. His movement was clever, but we just watched him do it. We have improved in both boxes for set pieces, but we are all over the place at crosses from open play. We are hamstringing one of our best players in Spencer by playing him on the wrong side. Kettlewell was initially good at taking feelings out of the equation and picking the best side, he's not doing that now. The players are certainly fighting, but they aren't being set up to succeed.2 points

Have to be honest I’m very surprised at so many votes for Bevis. Maybe I need to see the goals again on TV, but thought he played his part in some very poor defending for the goals we conceded!1 point

And a big shout out today to the catering for my £3.30 steak pie. If I want my pie superglued to the foil tray I would have said.......not impressed1 point

Don't disagree with what you're saying re things need sorting, but from that list the players we lost were out with his control. I've not been impressed by Wilkinson but he did well enough today ...Shaw neither, but last year we were playing with shields up front ..every year it gets harder with seemingly less money available...it could be the year for the drop although I don't think we are any worse that st j and livi ...think Ross co git more up front thsn us1 point

Your argument seems to be that our wins against top 6 sides and bottom 6 sides last season don't really count, for one reason or another. Nor do our wins against anyone this season, again, for reasons you've decided render them meaningless. But every defeat or draw under Kettlewell proves his ineptitude. Sounds like there's nothing he could do to please you. Other than resign, obviously.1 point

That today was utter dogshite. All the draw does is paper over the cracks and delay the inevitable.1 point

Davies hasn't held a management position in almost ten years now. I'd imagine that at least part of the reason for that is his antics in his last job. The secret filming of journalists at Forest press conferences, blanket media bans, long-serving club staff sacked without explanation, his cousin and agent joining the club in a senior role after being suspended as a solicitor, arguing with photographers during games, and a five-game touchline ban imposed for using abusive language to a match official. He's pretty much not been considered for many jobs outside the Hearts one over five years ago I think.1 point
-
It's not a certainty. It never is but he's now an experienced manager with proven success in England. Probably with contacts that will allow us access to a better pool of loans and transfers. I get why people are still butthurt by his previous tenure but I honestly think he'd be a different proposition a second time round. Motherwell was his first gig and over 20 years ago.1 point

And scored as many as St Mirren and more than everyone bar Celtic/Rangers and Hibs. I'm not saying everything is rosy, but they're no where near as apocalyptic as some people suggest.1 point
-
There's got to be something wrong with someone who makes a suggestion like that. Can you point us to Davies' ability to build a team on a shoestring budget based on track record ? Do you have any recollection of what Davies did the last time he was here ? As for him having 'unfinished business' here (can't remember who posted it). The only thing Davies didn't do was bust us completely, juts a minor 'administration event'. I'm sure someone will come up with the dumb old cliche about how he'd 'kick thier arses and not stand for bad performances', maybe look back at how he left us. He didn't fuck off to a bigger job, waving to a cheering crowd on an open topped bus. He failed with a huge transfer budget and massive wage bill. Grow the fuck up. I think we should sack Kettlewell and go for Brick Top from Snatch. He wouldn't stand for any nonsense from the players.1 point
-
Id say the opposite and he's no very good at attacking either. I take it Gent isn't trusted to defend at the moment and that's fair enough but he does give us something going forward1 point
-
The Dundee number ten ran the game and SK did SFA to stop him . Wish we had a player like him able to pick a pass always looking for the ball but our midfield is shite1 point
-
I can't believe people are saying we should stick with SK. Not only have we not won in 11 (!!!) games but we have been hideous in a lot of those games. His track record as an SPFL manager isn't good, we are badly out of form, his transfer window to build his own team has been a disaster, and we haven't won in ELEVEN games. Time to go.1 point
-
To use your own line of questioning, what are you basing your confidence in us getting a new manager that will be any better? Either way, get a new manager or persevere with SK, it’s a gamble. I’d rather work with the manager we have.1 point
-
He survives to fight another day but the fact remains that his initial tactics are always shocking and we sit off teams despite not being able to defend. SOD, Butcher, Paton and Blaney are nowhere near good enough for this level and need moved on.1 point
-
In all seriousness, I think I will never want Motherwell to lose, whatever the reasons or circumstances. And in all seriousness, I don't think you feel the same way.1 point
-
a think heez still got the players on side there all trying like feck for him maybe a bit of tweeking and shuffling we might just have enough to get us to the window, if we could get rid of some shite and maybe bring in a couple of not so shite then i think 3rd bottom is very possible then let him rebuild in the summer, i think heez got something about him but we cant just keep changing remember what man u done with fergie1 point
-
I would agree defending has been shocking, but the defence are having to do it all by themselves. No midfield, protection. There is however plenty of fight and commitment in the team, otherwise all these late late comebacks would not be happening. As for Scott Brown, just NO!1 point
-
Play the youngsters. I actually would love that, but prepare for the championship. If we want to change into this philosphy, then the support need to change their expectancy.1 point

In all seriousness do you think that is a positive result for us? At home against Dundee having not won a game for three months, ten games and we scrape a draw with the last kick of the ball. Again. I’m sorry but for me that’s nothing to shout about. If that game finishes 2-2 then the manager and the team are rightly being slaughtered but by spawnying a 3-3 just like we did against Ross County just lets the team, the manager off the hook and gives the happy clappers in the stands and the boardroom something to munch away at for another week. Still though…. #scenes and all that pish.1 point
-
Yep, I agree with that. We need to give him the time to build his own team. I like SK and think that he can become a success at Motherwell.1 point
-
hahahah a never thought of mcginn a thought we had found somebody in a cupboard1 point
-
We really are spawny bastards. That result changes nothing for us in a positive sense but it takes the heat off Kettlewell for another game. The bigger picture is that we have now failed to win in three months and have yet again failed to win a must win game at home. We are absolutely dreadful. We can’t defend, our forward options are hopeless and without 17 year old Lennon Miller and a flukey, underserved draw against Dundee changes nothing.1 point
-
Changes nothing manager still has to go. Shipping goals every single game.1 point

We would be as well playing Bevis at centre forward. He’s hopeless at the back but probably more of a threat than the rest of our so called forwards up the other end.1 point

A bit of Biereth magic apart, they look a league above us in terms of their passing and creativity.1 point

See the Livi game is off cause of frozen pitch. I thought the point of these awful pitches was that they could always be used.1 point

Don't quote me on it but I am sure we went 11 games in the administration season we finished bottom, before going on to thump hearts 6-1 at fir park. Certainly up there though as far as bad runs go but I am weirdly optimistic we'll get a result today.1 point

I think Bair is a red herring, it was made clear that he was here on washers, he isn’t taking up a wage that could go to someone else. The idea was that he would be moulded in the background and see if he could be turned into a player. Then everyone got injured. He has proved to be more effective than a couple of the other strikers so he has stayed around the squad. If we are criticising signings there are many other targets who were signed as first team players.1 point

Someone like Turnbull in Italy would be a revelation I think. He has all the qualities to succeed there, and funnily enough the very things that Celtic fans use to play him down as a quality player are why he would succeed. His first "negative" for Scottish football is that he doesn't "run his socks off" enough for the Celtic fans. He could have half the actual ability, but so long as they saw him charging down players and jumping with his back to them while they calmly pass the ball the other way, or saw him chasing down lost causes they'd be happy enough. That's a quality in their eyes. His ability to read the game and his in-game intelligence would make him a great fit for Serie A, where players are expected to do more than run and put in effort. Even with his limited games this season, he's ranked in the 99th percentile for goals scored per 90 minutes played, xG (expected goals) per 90 minutes played, and has a successful pass completion rate of 87%, which all adds up to him being a proper candidate for a club in Serie A, especially when you consider how the game is played there.1 point
-
I cant believe some of the comments some of our fans make about Turnbull. He was under no obligation to sign a contract extension . He knew he'd be leaving but signed on to ensure the club that looked after him were taken care off. We therefore got good money for him. Lennon Miller is the same he knows he won't be with us for long but extended his contract which again will give the club a chance to get some payback for for that investment. I will never give guys like that a hard time. There are so many badge kissing fuckers who take the club for a ride. I wouldn't piss on Tom Boyd, Chris Cadden or Declan Gallagher if they were on Fire. Those cunts actively did all they could to either bad mouth the club or ensure we got fuck all.1 point

Fuck off you tit. We've just taken a draw with 10 men. Dundee did nowt second half until Paton was sent off.0 points
