  1. Its a disgrace that they get away with it Dave, the SFA, police Scotland the Scottish government and both of the ugly sisters are culpable yet do nothing. Last year we had people being arrested for wearing T shirts supporting palestinian organisations, the police said were proscribed terrorist groups etc. Yet every week we have thousands singing thr praises of the IRA, UDA, up to their knees in f****n blood etc and feck all gets done, the two of them are Scotlands shame.

  2. Thats a question for a particular minister in the Scottish Government. Political pressure was brought to bear on the SPFL to apply strict liability for pyro abuse but they lack the backbone and political will to tackle sectarianism. Tonight's chanting was medieval and offensive but as usual, the media is complicit in concealing it.

  3. Just loving this take on the SPL table after last night. Is the Celtic (1 game in hand) for their hard of understanding fan base or are the Well operating under a different currency? Long live Jens-ball!

  4. Raskin is a good footballer. But he is an odious little cretin. Always diving under minimal contact, but always in the face of the referee moaning his face off. I thought that had been outlawed and it was "Captain only" for going to the referee? Just was certainly yellow carded for it last night. McLean isnt our worst referee, but he is weak. He allowed the Rangers players to get away with murder last night and they took full advantage. Thats only fair if it cuts both ways and it clearly didnt (numerous examples above). I love Big Eythor already. He saw the Rangers backline bullying our forward players last night and decided he wasnt having any of it. Some of his contacts with Souttar and Djiga were delicious! His assist for the goal is magnificent as Djiga has him in a stranglehold and he still gets his head onto the ball. I think with him on from the start we win that game and he might just be the difference maker in a cup run. Edit: Jens will have to work out how to tweak the system and who he is dropping in that scenario as JT will probably have to come out to the right again. I dont see us going 2 up top.

  5. I did say his only one defence. It's a bit like me, one good joke out of 3 dozen doesn't make me a comedian 🤣🤣

  6. This. He's doing exactly what he was signed to do and its now his second assist despite limited gametime. Not a spectacular striker but one who can cause opposition teams damage in their box. Had Ap Stam or Hendry been brought on instead last night, we'd have lost the game.

  7. Sorry mate but I thought he wasn’t that good tonight, gave up on chasing back when he lost the ball at the first goal and too many times he turned back into trouble rather than make a pass to someone in space.

  8. The most pleasing aspect of the entire evening was seeing Nicholson has ditched the terrible 'tache.

  9. Tommy Coyne in this team though.....

  10. What a pleasure it is watching this team. I didn’t think I’d see a team that would entertain more than the McLean / McLeish team of the 90s. Probably not as good but certainly a better watch

  12. He also looks like he wants to be here.

  13. Thats such a great watch. Total encapsulates why the Big Man is getting so much love from the stands. He gets the club, and is loving the fact that we have all bought into his philosophy regardless of the fact most of us had never heard of him this time last year. Im sensing he may not be for " the off" in the summer, and that he genuinely sees this as a project that will leave him a lasting legacy and propel him into the reckoning for some really tasty jobs. Win a cup, have a good run in Europe and earn us £10m in transfers. Thats a pretty decent CV right there.....

  14. Totally agree, these were terrible refereeing decisions and there were dozens last night went against us. I don’t care what some people on this forum believe there are and always have been injustices against the smaller sides, against Rangers in particular. In my time I can think of dozens of “rangers referees” starting with JP Gordon (banished from the game due to bribery) right up to the Dallas’s and the Beatons of this world.

  15. I agree, but I still don't want VAR reviewing corner kick decisions.

  16. The ref frustrated me on the basis there's a general understanding that the OF are far superior to everyone else and therefore allowed the benefit of the doubt. Had it been Livingston I think they'd have been booked far earlier for some of their challenges. Similarly he booked Just for his reaction to the penalty claim - which is reasonable. However as others have mentioned there were so many similar reactions from Rangers players that were unpunished. The issue is the OF entitlement - they have the bigger crowds, the money, the media etc in their pocket, so much bias its disgusting. I don't think the ref was deliberately favouring them more that the environment and broader pressure mentioned creates a bias which really is hard to swallow. The bitter sweet though was big Welsh taking the goal like a CF . What joy, in someways that made everything else that maddened me last night very worthwhile.

  17. Regarding McLean, it's the basics that he gets wrong, and how he gave two goal-kicks to them in quick succession in the first half baffles me. Butland tipped Maswanhise's shot onto the post, then Ratkin (actually did really well) headed the ball off the line and behind under pressure from two of our team.

  18. Aye, thats true Grizzly, but he failed to penalise Scott Vernon in the build up and to red card Mark Reynolds. What a day though! More recently he was in charge of the Falkirk game, when Ibrahim Said's wonder goal was chalked off.

  19. You must sit near us in the POD. We had a clear view of the incident and it was a stick on red. However, it was a mistimed tackle with no malicious intent. No complaints about that. What did annoy me though was Raskins getting in Steven MacLean's face after Fadinger had been yellow carded pleading for him to be sent off. His opinion obviously carried great weight. Very poor behaviour which needs called out. Steven Maclean had a very poor game as mentioned by many others. His decision making was riddled with inconsistencies. * His failure to play on when Said was fouled. We assumed, wrongly, that he stopped play to card the Rangers player but no. * Why wasn't Soutar red cardd for cynically bringing down a breaking Just? I'm not one to push conspiracy theories with referees but Steven Maclean really does seem to dislike us for some reason. Agree with your comment about the crowd. Yet again, our figures are substantially different from the BBC's. Aunty says 9,800 whilst MFC says 11,200. I very much doubt if there were about 4,000 empty seats. Great to see increased crowds.

  20. I was waiting on VAR for that Red is probably a red Not having the Chermitti pen claim at all - Collapsed to the ground during 'normal football contact' - Suggestions he was offside as well Far more contact on the Slattery one, ver soft, but have seen Gassama get pens for less. The Souttar one can argue supporting arm, but he blindly dives into the challenge - Which Collum has previously said can lead to pens. More pertinently, Souttar then impedes, making the ball unplayable between his feet - Which is a foul. Indirect free kick, or play on. Certainly not faul to Rangers. Similarly second half, Souttar gets a foul when Maswanhise learly wins the ball. Askou also right regarding fouls in first half, whilst they weren't dangerous, there were quite a few stopping us when we were approaching the box/breaking into final third. It was like watching St Mirren at times.

  21. That felt like a win last night. The limbs when the equaliser hit the net, no feeling like it. No less than we deserved. COYW

  22. Given all the refereeing “inconsistencies” last night, I wouldn’t have been surprised if our equaliser had been chalked off for a brutal shove by Bjørgolfsson on the poor wee Rangers defender before he headed the ball across for Welsh to score. We showed a lot of character to add to our usual skilful game. i hope we have no injury concerns for the game against Aberdeen.

  23. Two games and two assists. Good going for Thor so far. It was mentioned somewhere when we signed him that this was a big part of his game. Long may it continue.

  24. Yeah just watched it again, he caught him and I can see why it might have been a red. I didnt see the incident with souttar and the handball properly at the game but that’s a penalty? I can see why the players were going mental.

  25. Awesome -- I wasn't able to watch the match as I was working, getting alerts thought we were gone - down to ten men - superb goal! "Stand up and sing for Motherwell!"

  26. Firstly, I don't think Motherwell were under par. Rangers had to fight very very hard to keep us under control. I thought Rangers played very well to contain us. They were killing the game from 10 minutes in. We deserved to win the match. No complaints with the sending off. Best team in the league, no question.

  27. Why do they get away with vile blatant sectarian singing. Disgraceful. Also souter hand ball in penalty area and no var.
