  1. Good result today , would happily have taken the draw before a ball was kicked. From 6 defeats in a row to 3 unbeaten is a positive for me Hopefully AJ smashes that record too

  2. Gleeful is your interpretation of my post. I simply wrote “Tick tock”. But by all means, carry on twisting things to suit your own narrative.

  3. Given the 2 completely different contexts, yes.

  4. After a miserable 6 defeats in a row thats 3 unbeaten, and 5 points from 9 that really should have been 7 points. We are moving in the right direction, so the management team and players deserve a lot of credit. That said we can see where our problems lie so i hope the recruitment team have their targets identified to bring in during the January window to boost our goal threat and strengthen our defence.

  5. I disagree to be honest. I think he's put a good shift in so far.

  6. Whether you agree with the term "tick tock" or not, I don't think its in bad taste. Wellfan could equally have phrased it like "time is running out" or similar. He calls a spade a spade and thats ok in my book. I'm not saying he is always 100% right, no one ever is, but his opinions generally merit serious consideration. He is more often right than wrong. AJ has gained some credit in the past 3 games, without doubt, but there are still unanswered questions. For me, the jury is still very much out. Some big games, winnable ones, coming up, and he will be put to the test. Its a results driven business, but I still have major doubts about our defence, midfield, and attack. Questions too about our style of play, although theres no doubt thats its far superior to Alexanderball and Kettleball.

  7. We have a young manager who has moved his family to Scotland to commit fully to making a success of the Motherwell managers job. If it had been up to people like yourself he would have lost that job a few weeks ago and his life would have been in a form of turmoil. A comment like tick tock suggesting that his position was a ticking time bomb was in bad taste. If you are going to make the comment at least take ownership for it ( I know another shitty modern day phrase). The phrase shows a lack of any empathy or concern for the managers position. I don't think that is really open to any interpretation. It hasn't worked out for you this last few weeks. You may still get your wish but not quite yet.

  8. 3 points behind us….game in hand but our managers sound & Aberdeen should sack theirs?

  10. There’s still time yet. We’re still generally pish. Four points from the last two games is fair enough, but both goals came from penalties and we struggle to score from open play. We’re still defensively weak, powderpuff up front and all too often resort to this passive, ceding-possession crap. The in-game management is questionable too, with some continually bonkers subs. And Vogt starting the Celtic game will forever remain one of Alfred’s most ridiculous decisions. Thirteen league games, three wins, four draws and six defeats. Pumped out of the League Cup at the first hurdle too. The European football was the one positive, but that was before Alfred got his way with the squad on the training pitch. For comparison, at the same stage of JBA’s tenure, we had four wins, seven draws and just two defeats from 13 league games. He didn’t have European football, but he did take us on a six-game League Cup run before St Mirren eventually pumped us out in the semi-final. I know comparisons with JBA will inevitably be dismissed as unfair, but that’s precisely why I’ve chosen their respective starts. This was before JBA had really got us up and running, so I’m not comparing Alfred’s current form with JBA once he’d established himself and got the team playing. I’m looking at how the two managers started. Objectively, it’s been a poor start domestically, and I remain unconvinced he’s the right man for the job. Some see progress, but looking at the bigger picture I don’t.

  11. Don't agree a draw was the correct result. Entertaining game against a good Dundee Utd Team.

  12. Agree, his best performance for us in such a long time, wasn’t one that we carried today, appeared he was playing further up the park so more of the same from him please.

  13. Hodge for me. Has looked much more confident and assured the last couple of weeks. Loved seeing him drive into midfield with purpose. Honorable mentions for Fadinger, Sparrow, Said and Girdwood-Reich.

  14. Is the tick tock patter aimed at the time for change posters 😂 if so you must be 12 year old 😂 if I’ve got the meaning of it wrong then I’ll my hold my hands up on the tick tock managed to catch the last 30 as just back, big priestman chance but they had a big chance that defensively we were miles out ( no idea how the boys missed that ) & we still look suspect from corners good point, said subbed again at the same sort of time as the st Johnstone game ( Im assuming we can bin that myth he was subbed coz of a yellow ) decent point that keeps the run going

  16. Hodge had his best game for us, barely put a foot wrong. I thought Sparrow was excellent as well.

  17. I would have took a point beforehand so I'm happy with that, hopefully were now moving in the right direction but it has to be said our forward line is really poor, the decision making and final ball is a joke far to often.

  18. Decent performance and 3 unbeaten on the trot. A draw probably a fair result.

  19. Good performance against an in form team away from home. Three strange subs and usual failings in final third. Defence did well, tho when we did switch off they missed sitter at end. Perhaps our luck has changed at last.

  24. Pretty hectic and entertaining first half. we need to try and slow them down a bit. Even though wee Kanga is doing ok i’d maybe take him off for Oscar

  25. Good move from them. A tad open. Just need to keep doing what we are doing and sharpen up in final third.

  29. Welcome aboard, always good to see or hear anyone taking an interest in our club As for Retro shirts I was in the shop last weekend, the 96-97 white away shirt is currently on sale. There was others in the last couple of years that look to have sold out. I find Ebay always good for the likes of this as well

  30. Hey all. Thanks for the replies. It’s all been super helpful to us especially a e-mail from Dee above. we have been looking loads recently at all things Motherwell and we both can’t wait to go see the match.. luckily I asked him if it’s Hibs or Motherwell and he said Motherwell. 😂 Orbiston Road looks a good place for us to park and as a easy route back up the road past Ravenscraig to the m8.. we are looking forward to going to the Well shop getting a few things as “well” . He will probs be after a new shirt myself I would love a more retro one like the 94-96 away shirt… but doesn’t seem to be in stock from the well shop? Well online from what I can see.. does anybody know if they always get more in or will have to keep an eye out on ebay and such like? Thanks.
