They ask what your view is on Tom Boyd - the answer given proves who the well fans are6 points

Having watched both Rangers and Celtic today, I dont see anything for us to be worried about. Rangers are a bit more solid than Celtic defensively but they look pretty toothless. Celtic have more going forward, but they have been extremely wasteful of late and are wide open at the back. They only won today because Aberdeen played the whole second half with 10 men. Not saying we will win both games or even one of them. But they are not the scarey proposition they used to be. If we turn up and play our usual game and dont make any stupid errors we will compete and hold our own with both of them. As for Hearts. Yes they are a good team and are well clear at the top, but they have also failed to beat us twice, so lets give ourselves a little bit of credit!4 points

Yes, we don't want to turn Fir Park into another version of Parkhead or Ibrox. Keep politics well out of Fir Park.4 points

If the last six months have taught us anything, it’s that JBA knows exactly what he’s doing at Motherwell, so I fully expect a good January transfer window.3 points

I am finding it ironic in the extreme to hear of Ian McCall, of all people, complaining of anyone being "disrespectful" in any context whatsoever. I just ask myself how respectful was he being when he shat in Simon Stainrod's shoe?3 points
-
I’ve just had the displeasure of listening to that little rodent Ian mcall on bbc. Tom English and Michael Stewart bigging us and our manager up and him coming back with JBA being disrespectful to Scottish football ?? And how he’s seen us play 3 times and we’ve only scored one goal. an absolute dinosaur with jealousy ripping out him.3 points
-
You are that confident we will get 2 penalties awarded then? As that seems to be the only way he will score. I know it was a tounge in cheek remark, but would love you to be correct and he does score 2 from open play, but ive seen nothing from him so far that suggests that will happen.3 points
-
I have absolutely no time for him, or his political party, but think that leaving the officials to get on with their job is a better policy. They get enough abuse from every angle without adding any personal grief for what they do beyond football.3 points

Hearts will drop points, Rangers are on a run of games but are an appalling team and Celtic are a laughing stock. if we get a couple of players in January and get a couple of wins in the next few games I honestly believe we could be right in the mix and sustain it.3 points

Having come across them at DP v Clyde in first game of season, I said I wouldn't willingly go to another away game , manhandling stewards who were trying to take flares off them...hottest , brightest day of the year...surprised they can dress themselves, never mind go to fitba.3 points

If you'd told me this time last year that we'd soon be arguing about whether we had the strength in depth to be considered genuine title contenders I'd have laughed in your face. However this season ends up, that's progress!2 points

Still buzzing after today’s result. Ok the performance maybe wasn’t as good as some games but having watched FB/insta clips from media team it reinforces JBA comments about not getting frustrated - its obvious that players are totally bought into his system and approach and got the rewards for perseverance. In summary, it’s just a great time to be a Well fan2 points
-
Absolutely. We’re not a ‘darling club’ of the Scottish media like Celtic, Aberdeen or Dundee Utd so we’re always going to attract negative press from those who see us doing well as being upstarts who are daring to do better than we should be. And the fact that we’ve got an outsider leading us and making it all happen compounds it for them.2 points

I'm voting for Said today. Even though he was only a sub, I thought his introduction helped boost the energy and tempo we needed in the second half.2 points

The past few pies I’ve had have been a fkn disgrace. As you say, stuck to the foil and soggy so you can’t even get it out. Handling one of those and drinking a flat pint of tennents at the same time on a cold concourse sounds fun.2 points
-
Pretty much agree with that Grizzly. Its not an issue for me personally as I drive to and from games. I suspect there's more like me. The issue boils down to extra income for the club. If I didn't drive, it wouldn't cause me any great hardship to go without alcohol for 90 minutes. For some though, its a bit like voting and the suffragettes. Its not about having a drink during games its about the right to have a drink during games if they want to do so. Freedom of choice if you want. All that said, I have no problem if folk drink during games as long as those who can't handle alcohol desist.2 points

If the club can sell booze, it should. And if you don’t want to buy booze, then don’t. We’re all adults, so the option should be there. The constant “don’t do it” approach usually has the opposite effect. Scotland’s alcohol licensing laws are, in general, far more restrictive than elsewhere, and that just encourages folk to fill their boots while they can, rather than pace themselves without fear of the tap being turned off, which in itself leads to more issues. That said, under the current proposals, not all stands have the infrastructure in place to sell booze during the game anyway. For me, I much prefer to meet up and have a few pints before and after the game in an actual pub, but I’d probably still buy a pint at the game if I could.2 points
-
Just my view but I just don't get the point. Folk meet before games for a pint and like me enjoy a few after games. For 90 mins surely folk can cope without a beer. Times have changed and for the 1980 Cup final folk to take a carry oot into ground which caused problems. And for rugby you can have a pint. Always a debate where views will be split but for me it's a no2 points

I met Stevie Kirk at our local coup this afternoon. Looking well and very pleased with our current form.1 point

100% agree. To be honest, at this stage in the 'project' i'd have expected us to suffer a few heavy defeats as the players bedded in. The fact that we've progressed so far in the time available, I think is nothing short or remarkable. I'm positive that the manager can see where the issues lie and how to address them much better tha anyone on here can. I can't really imagine him not having something in mind for the transfer window that will suit the way we play.1 point

What little he has had to do, he has done well and has contributed ton the run of 6 clean sheets.1 point

That's very believable. They've spent most of their lives watching their team ragdoll weaker opposition, and only having to worry about one other team, who they couldn't survive without. Now the poor souls are leaving for the game not even sure if they're going to win. Such a shame 😆1 point

Reasonable statements and time will tell if correct or not. Rangers Saturday followed by Celtic Tuesday is always going to be tough so maybe we’ll we see how we stack up after those two games. I’m sure both of us are hoping you’re wrong.1 point

Six games without conceding a goal equals 540 minutes, the last goal was at Rugby park just after half time, if you add in all the additional time it must be 10 hours since Ward was beaten yet he hardly raises a blip in these polls. Given that we seem to have a rolling line up in front of him, I think we can safely say that JBA has a bit of an idea what he is doing.1 point

Elijah Just for me due to the power of work he got through - if only he had a bit of conviction with his shooting. I do love Welsh and believe that he should be in the conversation for the World Cup.1 point

Thought the entire team were off it for the first 20 minutes with Watt and Slattery the most wasteful with the ball. Over the 90 minutes I thought Welsh, Fadinger and Just were our best players with an honourable mention for Said. Went for Just for his workrate and the fact he never stops trying to create. His run to get to the byline, tackling their defender and coming up with the ball to cross it into the middle was fantastic and typified his performance. Top class footballer.1 point

Stephen Welsh is the best defender we've had at the club for ages. And he had a bandage round his head like an olden days centre back. MotM/1 point

Yep we all know what we need in January cause this is what we all feared. It's time to invest and keep the progress ticking along.1 point

Said is a brilliant wee player, he can make such a difference coming on. i do feel for Hendry, i just get the impression he’s trying too hard. He’s the best example of a “player who needs a goal “ I think I’ve ever seen.1 point

Today will be a tough game, as I suspect Dundee will sit in and make life difficult for us. Still, if we play to form we should be good enough to earn a win. On this occasion we can control the ballboys and pitch watering.1 point

If people cant go without alcohol for a couple of hours to attend a football match then they have serious issues, having a pint with your pie is not a good idea.1 point

Game of two halfs. Celtic should have been out of sight in the first half. They disappeared in the second and could not deal with utds direct up and at them approach. Celtic only playing 2 full backs and one center back is certainly not going to help their cause. We need to beat Dundee and get ourselves in amongst the chasing pack. Get one or two more quality players in and have go for the rest of season. Nothing fear and all to gain in this crazy season.1 point

Not posted here in an absolute age.... but felt compelled to after the way my phone was pinging on Saturday following the Block E boys bus stopping off in my town of Auchterarder on Saturday. A group of them decided to spray paint and sticker parts of the town, including on a few memorial planters outside the town hall. The were confronted by an elderly neighbor of mine who was subsequentially met with a torrent of abuse before they headed into The Star bar. Absolutely no need for this behavior at all and reflects so poorly on club as a whole. And yeah, I know it would only be a certain few within the group that finds this funny and acceptable and not tarnishing them all with the same brush, but surely the older ones need to nip this in the bud and help protect the reputation of Block E? As I am involved a lot in our community here, I had my phone pinging with messages from friends and neighbors who know I'm a Motherwell fan - some as a wind up, some being more serious - all while I was out in Glasgow with my wean at a show. There was apparently similar damage/graffiti done earlier in the year around August time so a lot of the locals are now making a big deal of it. There is quite extensive CCTV that identifies the culprits - some of which I have seen - and it has been shared with he police and the club. There is a response from Brian Caldwell that has been shared in the community page. Worth pointing out that a lot of travelling supporters from lots of clubs stop in Auchterarder - and this is only time in 12 yrs staying here I have seen anything like this being raised - so a really shitty look for the club. Putting it on here to highlight and the off chance that anyone wants to take ownership and accountability for this. I will gladly put you in contact with the Auchterarder Community Council who will be footing the bill for your actions, maybe stop any police action before it happens.1 point

To be fair, you do seem like a trouble maker that stweards need to keep an eye on... When we were relegated to the First Division, I used to get searched by the Polis at away grounds on a regular basis. Not sure why other than I often used to have a radio (for the half time scores) in my coat pocket.1 point

It’s the effectiveness of the system, more than the individuals in the back four or the goalkeeper, that prevents goals being conceded.1 point

I'll stick my neck out and say that I'll be very surprised if we don't make top six. We're already 6 points ahead of Falkirk and 10 clear of United, I don't really see them or anyone else putting together a sort of run that would overhaul us.1 point

Dixie was one of the first heroes of mine. Gave opposition centre halfs a torrid time with his ability to "hang" in the air and shall we say "combatitive" style on the ground. Gave Mike England of Spurs the run around in our Texaco Cup tie. RIP1 point
