  1. Also, you can only have 10 folk max on a hangout, which may not be enough. Plus, I just hate video chat However, something like uStream, where we could watch the presentation and ask questions via the chat box, would be more than adequate. (Assuming internet became available...)
  2. Indeed. I also emailed Alison to ask if we could all at least be emailed or otherwise pointed at a copy of Leeann's presentation deck after the meeting (whether or not it would have made any sense without her talking over it), but I guess they never got around to that, either.
  3. I'm not sure it would, really, but it has to be someone and however nominal the extra responsibility might be, Keith doesn't particularly seem to be benefitting from it. Perhaps since we're pretty shaky in defence at the moment it might give Randy a bit more confidence/authority to help sort things out back there, but maybe he's doing as much as he can anyway. If nothing else it would put a few quid on his asking price, though
  4. I"d agree we're missing both those things at times, but they don't need to be the same person. I'm not generally a fan of goalkeepers as captains, but if I had to pick somebody in our team to be captain right now, Randy might not actually be too far off the top of the list. (Not that we're going to change mid-season, nor is he very likely to be around next season.)
  5. Couple of empty jam jars should still do it.
  6. Surely have to leave him on the bench. Partly because he's not match fit and the first 11 deserve to keep their places after Saturday anyway, but apart from that it'll keep the place buzzing for his eventual appearance even if the game isn't going our way.

    Fine Lasley

MFC TV reckoned it never deserved a straight red. Though obviously that doesn't completely excuse a risky tackle (and they're kinda biased, of course).
  8. And the link to the MFC Google+ page is: https://plus.google.com/109625024074566781165 . (The previous page they were using is now obsolete.) EDIT: And I've just noticed they have a community page at https://plus.google.com/communities/115074768152256427008 .
  9. While I'm no position to dispute what you say about Dalziel, weeyin is quite right that Thatcher was nonetheless responsible for selling off thousands of school playing fields in the 80s, which certainly didn't help. http://www.historyandpolicy.org/papers/policy-paper-133.html#S3
  10. And, indeed, 16" and 20" canvas prints.
  11. That part's easy enough, sounds like the stumbling block is the dodgy WiFi signal. (Assuming they don't have any wired ethernet points in the Centenary Suite.)
  12. Simon Lappin released by Norwich City I see… might've been a useful guy to have back, if we had any money.
  13. Good shout… first one was a great wee passing move, second one just a great opportunistic hit. Yes from a defensive point of view there are doubtless things we could have done to prevent them, but sometimes you just have to take it on the chin. On a side note, we've conceded more good goals this season than I can remember for quite a while. Maybe that's just because we're conceding so many goals overall, but at least it makes the highlights a bit more entertaining.
  14. Based on what? Hollis did nowt wrong today that I could see.
  15. You've got a short memory if you think that's our pitch looking an absolute mess! I see after the game McCall was blaming its general bumpiness on the undersoil heating, though.
  16. MFC TV interview with ZFA here.
  17. AOL bought Bebo for $250 million in 2008 because they imagined it would be the next big thing. They ended up having to sell it two years later for somewhere between $2 and $10 million. See also: ITV buying Friends Reunited for £175m just as Facebook was taking off, and having to sell it again for £25m four years later.
  18. Given that he's been handed the No.11 shirt (at least for his MFC TV interview), that certainly seems like the intention.
  19. Or possibly just playing word games… it's not inconceivable that the clubs have agreed the general idea in principle without a formal proposal existing as yet for any club to officially comment on (or, in our case, put to their supporters).
  20. I see he was subbed with 2 mins to go, and his old mucker Nick Blackman grabbed a third. Could certainly have had worse starts to his new club career.
  21. Doesn't seem to have been involved too much, judging by the live text commentary… they're winning 2-0 and he hasn't been hooked though so I suppose he must be doing alright!
  22. History suggests that a couple of rounds of European football isn't really a great attraction when there's bigger money on the table elsewhere. And let's be honest, any European football we manage next season is unlikely to top their experience of appearing in the Champions' League this season, unless we actually managed to go on and qualify for the Europa group stages (which is, sadly, also highly unlikely with our current squad).
  23. Jamie Murphy goal montage from the BBC (UK only): http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/scotland/20905313
  24. Sadly they do. Plenty of instances of comedians, journalists and musicians deciding that being on Twitter isn't worth the ludicrous abuse they get from folk who didn't like something they said/wrote/sang.
  25. Luckily, the club has a social media policy and I've no doubt 'Flow will be having a word with any player he thinks needs a gentle reminder of how to conduct themselves on Twitter first thing in the morning, if he hasn't already. If only there was a similar way to sort out the eejits posting daft stuff to the players in the first place...
