  1. Based on what? Hollis did nowt wrong today that I could see.
  2. You've got a short memory if you think that's our pitch looking an absolute mess! I see after the game McCall was blaming its general bumpiness on the undersoil heating, though.
  3. MFC TV interview with ZFA here.
  4. AOL bought Bebo for $250 million in 2008 because they imagined it would be the next big thing. They ended up having to sell it two years later for somewhere between $2 and $10 million. See also: ITV buying Friends Reunited for £175m just as Facebook was taking off, and having to sell it again for £25m four years later.
  5. Given that he's been handed the No.11 shirt (at least for his MFC TV interview), that certainly seems like the intention.
  6. Or possibly just playing word games… it's not inconceivable that the clubs have agreed the general idea in principle without a formal proposal existing as yet for any club to officially comment on (or, in our case, put to their supporters).
  7. I see he was subbed with 2 mins to go, and his old mucker Nick Blackman grabbed a third. Could certainly have had worse starts to his new club career.
  8. Doesn't seem to have been involved too much, judging by the live text commentary… they're winning 2-0 and he hasn't been hooked though so I suppose he must be doing alright!
  9. History suggests that a couple of rounds of European football isn't really a great attraction when there's bigger money on the table elsewhere. And let's be honest, any European football we manage next season is unlikely to top their experience of appearing in the Champions' League this season, unless we actually managed to go on and qualify for the Europa group stages (which is, sadly, also highly unlikely with our current squad).
  10. Jamie Murphy goal montage from the BBC (UK only): http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/scotland/20905313
  11. Sadly they do. Plenty of instances of comedians, journalists and musicians deciding that being on Twitter isn't worth the ludicrous abuse they get from folk who didn't like something they said/wrote/sang.
  12. Luckily, the club has a social media policy and I've no doubt 'Flow will be having a word with any player he thinks needs a gentle reminder of how to conduct themselves on Twitter first thing in the morning, if he hasn't already. If only there was a similar way to sort out the eejits posting daft stuff to the players in the first place...
  13. I've no doubt both were trying to score, but if you can't see the difference between the two sets of circumstances...
  14. Same place we were without Faddy, Skippy, Porter, Juke etc. A different team, but not necessarily a worse one.
  15. Apple only at the moment. On their Facebook page they said they're hoping to launch an Android version "next year".
  16. I've only seen the MFC TV highlights and it did look like he was being held back a wee bit, but since it turned out alright in the end I'd be more inclined to be charitable and say the defender did his job… EDIT: Dunno if there are any other angles on the fishel SPL highlights, can't watch them here yet: http://www.youtube.com/feed/UCakRszbIjjGYtFrDPeg5Ieg
  17. It flashes up briefly every time you go back to the Library page from reading a programme, too. I was able to tap it once before it disappeared and it said the club didn't have a season pass option yet… might just take them a few days to set it up for a new club, I guess. BTW, for anyone who's swithering, there are currently four programmes available and one of them's free (the Dundee Utd game in November), so you can download that and see how you like it.
  18. Good stuff, will certainly be checking that out.
  19. Much the same, probably. Our crowds have never gone up or down all that much however well or badly we're doing.
  20. Mind you, anyone who parks the bus against us, especially at Fir Park, rather than just having a good go at our iffy defence really hasn't done their homework.
  21. No, but that doesn't mean they're not having to make cutbacks. They'd have to make even more if they cut the licence fee as well.
  22. He had every right to go for it, and any half decent striker would have done, at least to try and put the keeper off. If he makes any kind of mistake and drops the ball, it's a tap in.

    V Dundee United

And another one to add to his left-peg tally. For all his critics, being able to score with both feet is a heck of an asset for a striker to have.
  24. Personally I have no problem with trial by TV, and I'm even fairly ambivalent as to whether Randolph is sanctioned or not on this occasion, just because it looked kinda deliberate to me. The only thing I have an issue with is how the incidents to be reviewed are being chosen.
  25. If he's a member of a golf club*, the Record probably isn't exactly his daily of choice * Or has any critical faculties whatsoever.
