  1. I think he's crocked right now. While he might be lodging a request I'd imagine clubs will want to make sure he's fit.
  2. KVV's pen are, to be polite, erratic. A decent chance he'd have missed it. Like all good strikers he's missed his fair share of opportunities because he gets into the right positions more often than most. He'd be just as well worrying about the first half header he missed. His goal tally is impressive, but scoring in 11 consecutive is something even more impressive.
  3. KVV breaks record - check Win - check 50 points - check Positive goal difference - check Take your pick for one last time, I'll keep this poll open until Wednesday and then tally them up... EDIT: Poll fixed now, have at it
  4. Bevis is fine when he remembers to keep it simple.
  5. Just the start we needed to extinguish any last notion of hope Utd had.

    Alexander.

People only care about arrogance when you're losing. If SK had the same record as Hammell we'd be slating him for arrogance too. You need an ego the size of Lanarkshire to survive in the management game these days.
  7. I certainly hope Wee Al gets his chance, but many teams in the same position gut the core that got them there and spend their EPL money on a new squad.
  8. 9 years from non-league to EPL apparently. Pretty impressive.
  9. I don't feel that sorry for Coventry. Luton finished 10 points ahead of them in 3rd spot and deserved to get promoted.
  10. I think he got injured in the Middlesbrough game at the end of April and struggled to win back his starting spot.

He's only 26. Not that we would have had a sniff, but Sunderland have triggered his contract extension for next season. Which isn't surprising as he scored 24 in 46 for them last season and 10 in 13 this season before his injury.
  13. Wonder if we have a clause in Campbell's contract that we owe Luton if he misses in a penalty shoot-out.

A few extra quid available for SK to make an audacious bid to reunite Ross Stewart with his old manager.
  15. It doesn't matter what "we" do, we're just having a laugh. What the players do is what matters and I don't see any signs they won't be putting in a performance tomorrow. If Utd really are setting up to win by 5, however, then it should be pretty entertaining - which is the best you can hope for the last game of the season. (I also reckon Livi won't get what they need in Perth).
  16. Luton will be kicking themselves if they lose this one. They should have been 3 up at half time, but Coventry always in with a chance at 1 - 0. Zero football on offer right enough. Partick Thistle played more attractive stuff against Ayr.
  17. That's not true even here in the US where free speech is enshrined in the 1st amendment and more protected than it is in the UK. As Fox News recently found out, repeating known lies about the election just cost them three quarters of a billion dollars.
  18. Yes, Yes and No Although the TB seethe does reach OF-level seethe from time to time. I don't even know why people are bothering to track down stories about him. I don't think I've read about anything he's said or done since the day he left us other than on here.
  19. Two minutes and 30 seconds against Hibs in a 1959 League Cup tie.
  20. They were supposed to be playing for their lives against Killie (at home) and folded like a cheap suit. No doubt they will have a go, but given their defensive record in recent times, that is likely to leave them wide open.
  21. And our white change kit which, apparently, we had to borrow from Utd.
  22. One of my favourites was the John McKeever game in the first leg of the League Cup. Second leg, not so much.
  23. Just fact checked myself. In the 73/74 season we beat them 4 - 0 (League Cup) , 3 - 0, 4 - 0 and 1 - 0, which probably the season I'm remembering. The season after we were promoted back into the SPL, they beat us 4 - 0, 5 - 0, 2 - 0 and 4 - 1, which is a season I've never managed to forget.
  24. When I first started watching us the 70s, the overall balance of results seemed pretty equal, but when we beat them we often put 3 or 4 past them. (I have a vague memory we beat them 4 - 0 on one of the first Sunday games we ever played). When they hit their peak in the early 80s they used to hammer us (and a lot of top European teams) on a regular basis. They had a counterattacking style that was unusual in Scottish football at the time and most opponents struggled to cope with it. I'm not a Goodwin fan, but I don't hate Utd and wouldn't have been bothered if they stayed up. In fact, at this point, any team with grass is OK with me. (not the OF, obviously, but I doubt I'll see them relegated in the near future).
